“Alright, go and take care of that patch over there and then head out for the day.”

“Yes, young master.”

Lin Fan couldn’t help revealing a wry smile when he heard how they called him.

That was why Lin Fan sent off his subordinates before doing this.

As he used this strange energy on the spiritual herbs, he said with a faint smile, “Grow big and grow well. I can’t wait to harvest you.”

His subordinates came back to their senses when they heard this and followed his orders, but it didn’t take long for them to be surprised by something else.

That was because there was something off about the rest of the herbs that were in this place.

“These are…all much higher quality than normal!” The disciples were all caught off guard while they went to harvest.

After all, they had been working in this gardening hall for a while now and they were familiar with the grade of spiritual herbs that they would normally collect.

Once this was said, everyone turned to look at Lin Fan with strange looks.

Though it didn’t seem like these were bad looks that they were giving him.

Lin Fan hadn’t said anything the entire time, making it seem like he was just waiting for them to finish harvesting these herbs. However, what he was actually doing was waiting for them to come to this conclusion.

After all, it was a fact that he had done something to these herbs.

What he had done was provide life energy from the Nine Lives Tree that was inside of his pet storage space.

That life energy was an abundant source of vitality that helped the specific herbs that he picked out grow to the point where they had evolved. But it wasn’t as if they could have absorbed all of the life energy that he gave them.

The rest of the life energy dissipated into the surrounding herbs which brought their quality up.

As for why he didn’t do this with all the spiritual herbs, it was simply because they didn’t have the potential. The ones that he picked out were special ones that had potential to mutate, which was why he focused on them.

He was able to pick them out with his Appraisal Eyes.

Lin Fan just revealed a faint smile and said, “Hurry up and harvest these things so we can get off work already.”

Though it seemed like he was avoiding it, that didn’t mean that he was denying it.

The eyes of the other disciples lit up as they started following his orders, but there was no doubt that there would be a rumour spreading through the Heavenly Demon Sect soon.

This was the rumour that Lin Fan wanted to spread.
