As Lin Fan was about to leave, there was this rumble that suddenly rang out around him.

At the same time, he could feel that the ground under him was shaking all of a sudden.

Lin Fan had no idea why this was happening, but he certainly didn’t like this.

Especially since he was currently under the ground.

If this place were to collapse all of a sudden, then it would be very dangerous for him.

So Lin Fan didn’t waste any time as he ran to leave this place. He knew that he had to get out of this place as soon as possible.

Once he came out, he was surprised to find that it wasn’t actually the underground room that this shaking was coming from. But it didn’t seem strange after he thought more about it.

That underground room was the core of this pocket in space to begin with, so it would have been a big deal if that underground room was where the shaking was coming from.

If that was the case, there was no doubt that the elders would have intervened or it would have been dangerous for everyone.

If something happened to the core of this pocket in space, all that would happen is that this entire space would collapse.

With so many inner disciples and outer disciples in this space, it would be a disaster for the Heavenly Demon Sect if this happened. It would greatly weaken the future generation of the Heavenly Demon Sect if something were to happen here.

So there was no way that they would have let it happen.

When he came out, he found that there were these strange gashes that were all over the ground. The way that these strange gashes were spread out, it really seemed like it was centered around the core of this pocket in space.

It seemed like these were lines that were formed by the array that was in that room.

It seemed like this was how the spiritual energy that was gathered was distributed to the different parts of this pocket in space.

But at the same time, it seemed like this was how the spiritual energy flowed to the core in the first place.

If that was the case, that meant that these were the lines that had been supplying spiritual energy to the drop of liquid that had been there.

Lin Fan had no idea why they would suddenly erupt like this, but he knew that it had to do with the fact that he took out that drop of liquid.

As such, he wanted to see how it would end.

“Boom!”

As he was standing there, Lin Fan was surprised to find…a bunch of things erupting from the lines in the ground. When he saw these things, he couldn’t help being caught off guard by them since he could tell that none of these things were normal.

These were treasures that suddenly came out of the ground, these were the treasures that should have been a part of the second round. Yet they were suddenly coming out of the ground like this.

It really didn’t seem to make any sense at all…but it wasn’t as if Lin Fan was about to let this opportunity go.

Since they were in front of him, it was only natural that he would catch them all.

With a single wave of his hand, all of the treasures that had been launched into the air suddenly floated towards him and he put them all in his Storage Ring. But it wasn’t as if he was able to collect everything that was released.

Those that had been watching seized this chance to grab things for themselves.

However, all that did was bring them into Lin Fan’s line of sight.

It was one thing to let them follow behind him, it was different to let them run now that he had seen them.

So Lin Fan immediately charged forward at all of the people that had suddenly appeared.

When they saw Lin Fan charging at them, they realized that they had made a big mistake. There were many that tried to run, but they just weren’t able to run in time.

In the end, they had no choice but to face Lin Fan head on.

But the problem with that was that Lin Fan was stronger than them.

No matter how hard they tried, they just weren’t able to do anything against Lin Fan and they were all beaten up. Once he beat them up, it was only natural that he robbed them as well.

Though while he was robbing them…

“You’re not bad. If you’re still looking for someone to follow, you can come and see me after this.”

All of the disciples revealed bitter looks on their faces when they heard this.

This certainly wasn’t what they wanted to hear from the person that was beating them up, but they couldn’t resist and could only let Lin Fan do what he wanted with them.

When it was over, Lin Fan headed to the exit.

The lines had settled down and were no longer shooting out these items, so there was no reason for Lin Fan to remain in this place any longer.

When he came out, he was met with even more strange looks.

The elders looked like they knew everything that happened inside of the pocket in space, but it didn’t seem like they were planning on saying anything to him which meant that they accepted everything that Lin Fan did.

Though the one thing that Lin Fan didn’t understand was the confused looks on their faces.

Since they were the ones that had created that place, they should have understood what happened. Lin Fan had even been planning on asking them about what happened with the core and the lines that spat out the treasures.

This was something that he didn’t understand…but it wouldn’t have mattered if he had asked the elders.

It wasn’t that they wouldn’t have answered, it was just that they wouldn’t have known how to answer this. After all, even they didn’t know how this worked and what had happened with the array that it did this.

The only thing that they knew was that this array had sucked up the things that had been nurtured all over the realm and spat them out where Lin Fan was.

As for how it had been done…

“Do you understand it?”

Once all of the disciples had been sent out, the grand elder led a group in to see what happened with the array at the core of this pocket in space.

Even though they were the highest ranked elders of the Heavenly Demon Sect and powerful experts in their own rights, they still didn’t understand what happened. They had no idea why this array would suddenly do something like this.

“It seems like there’s an abundance of pure metal elemental energy inside of this array.” The one elder who was the most knowledgeable when it came to arrays said this.

“Why is there an abundance of pure metal elemental energy?” They asked this at first, but it didn’t take long for them to figure out what happened.

After all, there was only one person that could have done something like this.

After Lin Fan took that drop of liquid, the other thing that he had done was inject his pure metal elemental energy into this array. He had thought that he was doing this to compensate them for taking this drop of liquid.

What he didn’t know was that it would cause that incident.

When the array received that abundance of pure metal elemental energy, it had actually gone into overdrive when it came to gathering spiritual energy.

These treasures were items that were nurtured with the spiritual energy that was released by the array through these lines. Since they were nurtured with spiritual energy, it was only natural that they would release spiritual energy as well.

This spiritual energy that was released by these treasures was sucked in by the array itself.

With the array sucking this spiritual energy in, the treasures themselves were sucked in and pulled to the core. But since these were treasures that were filled with spiritual energy and not pure spiritual energy, it wasn’t something that the array could absorb.

That was why there were those fissures that were created.

It was created to expel these treasures that were considered waste to the array.

Since it couldn’t absorb the treasures, it wasn’t as if the array could just keep these things in its core. Gathering all of this in the core would eventually clog up the array and damage it.

So the array did the only thing that it could do and expel it.

That was why they had been released near where Lin Fan had been.

“Is it a coincidence or is it…?” The elders couldn’t help asking, but eventually they just chalked it up to a coincidence.

They didn’t believe that Lin Fan knew about any of this since he had shown his confusion when these things appeared. They knew that he hadn’t been hiding anything when it came to this matter, so there was nothing for them to say.

After investigating this, they worked on the array a bit to fix it, but there really wasn’t much else to do.

In fact, the array was actually stronger because of the pure metal elemental energy that Lin Fan injected.

That was why the elders were all excited when they left this pocket in space.

“Now if he makes an array for me…” That was what they thought to themselves.
