Chapter 1394: Birth of a transcendent spirit beast, A true god’s natural enemy
As she listened, waves of shock rippled through her. She hadn’t expected the petals wreathed in white flame to be tied to another of her father’s partners.
Nazelita’s interest deepened.
What kind of power does a Transcendent Spirit Beast possess?
And if this spirit beast before her succeeded in ascending, then it would become far easier to transfer the others from the Middle Layer into the White Flame Cosmic Tree.
“Do you know what’s happening with the White Flame Cosmic Tree?” Orion asked telepathically.
“The entire White Flame Cosmic Tree is being saturated with Spiritual Energy. At this point, we may no longer need to confine the Spirit Beasts to a specific dimension when we bring them to Paradise,” Nazelita said.
“I’ve blocked the Spiritual Energy from reaching the Material Realm’s Cosmic Tree to prevent it from disturbing their development.”
“But as for why it’s reacting to her ascension… I… don’t know.” Nazelita’s tone softened, defeated. “This is the first time I’ve ever witnessed something like this.”
Orion nodded.
Nazelita had only been born recently, so it was understandable that she didn’t yet know what a Transcendent Spirit Beast truly was, especially when none of them had ever seen one before either.
“Let’s watch and see what happens. Inform me if you notice anything,” Orion instructed.
“Okay, Father.”
They continued to watch as the petals wreathed in white flame expanded steadily until they reached the branches of the tree.
Yet, they were unable to ascend further.
They were pressed downward by some invisible force.
The petals fell back toward the roots of the Cosmic Tree.
Soon, not a single trunk of the tree could be seen; only its colossal branches and the roots intertwined with those of the Material Realm’s Cosmic Tree remained visible.
“ROOAARRR!!” A thunderous bellow shook the White Flame Cosmic Tree and rippled across all of Paradise.
The petals wreathed in white flame began to take form.
First, a long, serpentine tail, tufted with flowing white feathers, emerged, glowing brilliantly with trails of silver frost mist as it drifted from one space to another.
Then came the forelegs and crystalline claws, sharp enough to carve gashes into the bark of the White Flame Cosmic Tree itself.
Its colossal body resembled that of a White-Winged Gryphon, its fur shimmering like freshly fallen frost beneath the moonlight.
Two pairs of wings, vast and majestic, spread outward, covered in snowy feathers wide enough to blanket the tree’s colossal bark.
Its beak gleamed like polished ice. Its eyes burned with cerulean flames, reflecting a primal, untamed instinct, undeniably that of a beast.
It was none other than Iy’yra.
Orion narrowed his eyes at her figure clinging to the White Flame Cosmic Tree. He wasn’t surprised that her size could envelop the massive Cosmic Tree, as he could achieve the same with his tri-omni traits (omnipotence, omniscience, and omnipresence).
What truly astonished him, however, was the sight of the scratches she had left upon the tree’s bark.
The White Flame Cosmic Tree wasn’t an ordinary cosmic tree; it was one capable of housing not only divines but also true gods.
To make it tremble was already a remarkable feat. To scratch it at all was a sign of unfathomable strength.
Even a true god would need to expand their full abilities to attempt such a feat. Yet, this had been accomplished by Iy’yra, who had only just ascended into a Transcendent Spirit Beast.
“ROOAARRR!!”
Another thunderous bellow tore through her throat as Iy’yra looked around wildly, trying to make sense of what was happening to her.
Suddenly, she felt an overwhelming surge of power welling within her, threatening to burst forth from her jaws.
Orion quickly noticed Iy’yra’s discomfort.
“Nazelita—”
However, before he could finish his words, Nazelita interjected. “Your partner is bottling up a tremendous amount of Spiritual Energy that she produced after her ascension. I don’t know what effects it might have on Paradise, but it’s best to expel her immediately.”
Orion didn’t miss the subtle tone in Nazelita’s voice when she referred to Iy’yra as ‘his partner.’ He realised she was displeased by Iy’yra’s actions upon the White Flame Cosmic Tree, especially considering the delicate work they were currently doing to make it inhabitable.
“Go ahead and expel her,” Orion said with a nod.
Even without Nazelita’s warning, he knew that if Iy’yra’s power continued to surge unchecked, she might trigger Paradise’s Defensive Law.
He couldn’t risk anything happening to Paradise or Iy’yra.
So, he had no choice but to allow her removal.
Suddenly, the metaphysical space beside the White Flame Cosmic Tree rippled and twisted, transforming into a vast space vortex that pulled Iy’yra’s cosmic body into its depths.
Iy’yra’s claws sank into the White Flame Cosmic Tree as she fought desperately to resist its pull.
‘It’s okay. Let go. I’ll be waiting for you on the other side,’ Orion’s telepathic voice echoed in her mind.
Her eyes widened. Slowly, she turned her massive head, fixing her blazing gaze on Orion’s distant figure.
Seeing him nod, she understood. With a final nod of her own, Iy’yra released her grip.
Instantly, her vast form was swallowed by the vortex.
At the exact moment, Orion vanished from his position.
In an instant, he appeared outside Paradise.
The environment around him was dark, like a suffocating void that seeped into his very being, like endless ink.
But it lasted only a moment.
His tri-omni traits surged, pushing back the endless void and allowing him to perceive what was happening.
As his senses spread outward, Orion froze. He felt Iy’yra approaching. However, as she drew nearer, his tri-omni traits were being pushed back.
Orion’s eyes widened in shock.
The only force capable of restraining his tri-omni traits was the tri-omni traits of another true god. Neither could overwhelm the other; only their inherent abilities could determine superiority.
However, at this moment, not only were his tri-omni traits being suppressed, they were being overwhelmed by something else.
A strange feeling stirred within Orion. He couldn’t describe it.
It was beyond words.
Suddenly, countless snowflakes shaped like blossoms bloomed before his eyes. They spread outward, carried on invisible winds, rippling like waves across the void.
The blossoms scattered, and the world around him began to shift and solidify.
The endless void transformed into a vast icy plain. Towering trees hovered above the frost, with crystalline branches and leaves shimmering like glass.
Behind and around him, mountains floated in the skies, along with countless islands.
And above it all stretched a brilliant blue sky, radiant with a dazzling light that bathed the mesmerising land in its hue.
Floating Frost Valley!
Orion instantly recognised the resemblance.
But he knew this wasn’t the Middle Layer.
If it were, he would have sensed the presence of the clones they had stationed in the Spirit Realm.
Though it appeared the same, the essence of this place was vastly different.
And then realisation struck him.
The one responsible for all of this was none other than Iy’yra.
Orion attempted to release his omnipresence, but the realm itself resisted him. It felt as though the world surrounding him was restraining his very existence.
Suddenly, Iy’yra materialised before him.
Her head blotted out the endless blue sky. Her body stretched so far into the distance that it felt as if this ‘world’ wasn’t large enough to contain her, and she had only barely managed to fit within it.
Was this truly a Transcendent Spirit Beast?
Orion’s eyes widened in surprise.
It felt as though the things that made him a true god were useless before her presence. It was like a predator encountering its natural enemy.
He steadied himself, recollecting his emotions, and asked, “Iy’yra, how do you feel?” He needed to ensure her condition was stable before finding out what was happening.
“I feel better. I couldn’t suppress the energy building up within me, so I released it. The next thing I knew, this world was formed. I feel as though I can control every inch of it, down to the tiniest blossom flake that has fallen beneath a bed of snow.”
Iy’yra’s voice thundered across the world.
Orion sighed in relief.
He realised that the frequency of Iy’yra’s voice resonated with a power comparable to the Mysteries of Paradise. If an ordinary individual, or even a god, were to hear it, they would be overwhelmed by the sheer intent of her emotion, reduced to nothing but a husk of their former self.
But to him, it was no different from how they had always communicated, just a bit louder.
Orion furrowed his brows as he studied Iy’yra’s world.
Could this be the same as a true god birthing a reality within the Endless Void? That seemed likely.
The best way to confirm would be to impose his reality upon it forcibly. But he refrained from doing so as he was unsure of the effect it might have on Iy’yra, who had only just ascended to the rank of Transcendent Spirit Beast.
“Husband…” Iy’yra’s voice broke through his thoughts, stuttering, her expression shy.
