Chapter 461: Chapter 460: Back at the north base 11
Now that they were sparring, the members were interested in seeing it.
Well, they were clearly more interested in seeing Zam get beaten up.
Of course, some were just interested in seeing them spar, especially the people who had just joined the team and hadn’t seen Zam and Wes in action much—like Admon and his siblings who had just joined.
As promised, when they began fighting, Wes was the only one attacking and Zam continually took the blows from Wes.
Of course, since Zam only promised not to hit back, he was still defending himself.
However, Zam and Wes didn’t differ much in terms of strength, so even though Zam was defending himself, he was still hit and pushed back because he couldn’t attack.
In 10 minutes, Wes had managed to hit Zam a lot of times and even sent him back to the wall of the training room.
But since 10 minutes hadn’t passed yet, Zam had to stand up again and continue defending against Wes who wasn’t holding back.
In fact, even though Wes hadn’t said anything, it seemed that he was still dissatisfied about being forgotten by a friend, as he really didn’t hold back in hitting Zam a lot—or he was just taking the opportunity to hit Zam a few more times.
It was the only time the others had seen Zam suffer more, so the others like Nathan and their old friends like Myla were even cheering for Wes to give Zam a few more hits.
Wes and Zam didn’t pay attention to them and just continued what they were doing.
Of course, after 10 minutes Zam was finally able to hit back, so their fight finally became intense as both of them were fighting each other seriously.
Looking at the two of them, Luciel knew that their strength had become higher again because he could see that they had become even faster than before, and the strength of their hits became even more powerful.
The two continued to fight for 2 hours before they finally stopped without determining the winner.
While both of them were fighting seriously, the others were still cheering for Wes to continue giving more hits to Zam.
Even though both of them weren’t really paying attention to what the others wanted, Wes indeed managed to hit Zam more while they were fighting. However, he would also be hit in return just after a while.
Of course, some were also cheering on Zam to fight more fiercely to give back all the hits he had received earlier.
The two of them had already agreed to stop their fight after 2 hours, and the two of them really didn’t try to continue fighting for a few more minutes.
After their fight, Camille—who was also staying at the side—immediately went to Zam’s side and began checking on him to see his wounds.
Seeing such a scene, Nathan laughed again and teased Wes.
“Wes, you should also look for a partner. Look at them—both of you suffered some surface wounds but no one came to care about you,” Nathan said with a teasing smile, as if he also had a partner to worry about him.
And he even added, “You look a bit pitiful compared to Zam, who has someone to look after him. Should I also check you over?”
Even though Nathan was their team’s doctor, he normally wouldn’t look at the wounds suffered by the members during training unless they were very serious, because most of the members already knew how to take care of themselves in such cases, and the medicines to apply on light skin injuries were readily available. Most of them even had some for themselves as they were always training.
While training, suffering some surface wounds wasn’t avoidable—especially during sparring—so all of them already knew how to take care of their own wounds and wouldn’t bother Nathan or Camille about such minor injuries at all.
Nathan had been watching Zam and Wes spar, so he surely knew that both of them didn’t suffer anything serious, so he was still in the mood to tease them.
“No need. There’s nothing serious at all,” Wes said and walked away after glancing at Zam and Camille.
Seeing Wes walk away, Nathan laughed loudly again.
Luciel and the others also had smiles because of what happened, but Luciel still said to Nathan,
“You’re still teasing Wes as if you have a partner to care about you at all.”
“Yeah, you don’t even have a partner and you actually dare to tease someone.
Well, you’ve been looking for a girlfriend for a long time and haven’t even succeeded.
It seems that you’re actually destined to be single. So you shouldn’t tease others too much,” Treyton added.
“Hey! You guys are being too much! And Treyton, why are you cursing me?! If I really don’t find one, it would be your fault, as you just cursed me for being destined to be single!”
“Don’t try to blame me for your incompetence. I was just telling the truth. You started looking for a girlfriend when we were in middle school or high school, but until now—even after the world has already changed—you still haven’t found someone.”
“And whose fault do you think that is? Isn’t it because of you guys?!”
“Oh, you should really stop blaming us because it’s not our fault that you really don’t have vision when looking for someone to be with.
You’ve always chosen girls that aren’t really interested in you and have different purposes.
If your vision doesn’t improve, you’ll probably stay single for life.
Well, in a different perspective, you actually have a good vision since you’re always picking the bad ones.
So if you plan to have one later, you should probably try choosing those you eliminated in your selection rather than the ones you select, as they would probably be better,” Treyton said and smiled at Nathan.
“Hey!” Nathan said and pointed at Treyton as if he wanted to say something, but it seemed he couldn’t find anything to refute Treyton’s words at all.
So in the end, he lowered his hand and said before leaving, “Never mind. I’m not so petty as to argue with you anymore.”
