Chapter 261: Chapter 261: The Eggs
“There are many names for the wonders. Different civilizations call them by different things. Humans on Earth call them Zodiacs, using them for divinations and other bullshit, however wrong that system was. Many upper-plane pantheons call them Wonders, but they should be called Constellations, because they are as wondrous as the stars themselves,” Damian said.
From his words, it was clear how much Damian loved the constellations.
Everyone could see it on his face.
For someone who possessed powers and abilities beyond the imagination of even the highest-level gods, Damian was not someone who showed emotions easily.
He was beyond all that.
The only emotions he allowed himself to show were affection and love toward his family, and very rarely anger, when it became too much for him to keep hidden, such as when the topic of his fallen World Tree sisters was brought up.
Other than that, this was the only time they had seen Damian openly displaying an emotion.
Excitement.
It only showed how deeply he truly loved the constellations.
“The constellations should be returned once one of the two races I am about to re-emerge into existence,” Damian said.
“You said two races… One is the ghouls. What is the other race?” Avanora, Damian’s mother-in-law and Avaline’s mother, asked curiously.
“Well, I have not decided on the name of the race to be registered within the System of Existence yet, since they have never existed until they are about to come into existence by my work,” Damian explained. “It will take at least a few years, even while playing around with the concept of time, but I should be able to bring them into existence.”
“They are the counterparts of demons… I’ll explain more about them to you all after we leave here…”
Damian looked at his family members, which now included all his wives, both old and new.
The new wives also included Freya and Frigga, as he continued.
“The reason I am telling you all this is that, with me, the emergence is bound to be successful. So all that remains will be wars.”
“Wars?” Lillian repeated the last word her king had spoken.
“Yes, wars. Brutal battles, countless corpses, rain of blood on a world-level scale. That kind of wars. Wars against the raiders and the invaders,” Damian continued with a small smile.
“I will be straightforward. The current forces of the universe are weak. We are in a state where the forces of our universe must grow many times stronger. As the strongest of your respective pantheons and kingdoms, I want you to pick out individuals with talent and potential, and even take them under your wings, if you may.”
“Great, you are making us do more work,” Victoria sighed, as if she found it a drag.
“I know you hate work, Aunt Victoria, but it is a necessity,” Damian continued with a small, helpless smile. “I have several plans, ways, and practical systems to establish opportunities and places for anyone, regardless of their origin or race. Similar to what you would find in murim worlds or cultivation worlds of the Heavenly Court.”
“You mean like the Academy of the Heavenly Demon Sect or the Murim Alliance School?” Tasha asked excitedly.
“Or like the immortal sects of the cultivation worlds of the Heavenly Court?” Sasha asked.
“Well, somewhere along those lines. The immortal sects, the Heavenly Demon Cult, the Murim Alliance School, and even the Evil Alliance Academy are all great in their own ways, but they have inherent prejudice against outsiders. The ones I will be creating will not have that. Everyone will be going up against each other for dominance and power. Contest and rivalry are how true strength is born.”
“I will use the System and my authority as the Heavenly Son, and as the Primordial Progenitor, I can accelerate everything with all my abilities.”
Damian said as he clapped his hands.
“Anyway, I will fill you in on the details some other time. There is still time for now. You should all go back and train with martial arts and spiritual swords, while I return to the Biblical Heaven to continue what I was doing a month ago…”
When Damian said that, one of the girls could not help feeling a little disappointed.
No matter how hard she tried to hide it, Damian sensed it.
“You have something on your mind, Shiru,” Damian said, looking at her.
“Well… I noticed one of the domes was named Eggs,” Shiru said with a hesitant smile. “I was just wondering if you really keep eggs in that dome.”
“As the name says, it is eggs. I keep eggs,” Damian nodded. “Do you want to see it?”
“Yes! I want to!” Tasha, Amaya, and Avanora raised their hands excitedly.
“I do not know why you would be excited. It is just eggs. Let’s go,” Damian said, snapping his fingers.
In the next second, everyone was enveloped in shadow essence.
It carried them through the shadow gates, instantly transporting them to the dome labeled Eggs.
Inside the dome, the environment was completely different.
Everyone could feel the presence of various types of energy.
Countless energy signatures overlapped, yet somehow remained in perfect harmony.
Instead of feeling oppressive or dangerous, the energies made them feel strangely comfortable, even though they knew they should not.
Just as the label suggested, the dome was filled with nothing but eggs.
Eggs of all sizes, shapes, and colors filled the space, and there were countless of them.
There was no floor inside the dome.
Instead, hundreds of shelves of different sizes floated throughout the space, each one holding nothing but eggs.
Around every egg was a ring made of an unknown material that formed an energy barrier.
As Damian explained, these barriers stabilized the eggs, preventing them from being damaged and keeping them from changing their state.
“These are beast eggs, right?” Leona Lunark asked as she observed one about the size of a human head, marked with zigzag, lightning-like blue patterns.
“Yes, they are. However, about thirty-five percent of the eggs here were not naturally laid,” Damian said with a sigh. “I mutated them under controlled conditions to create new and powerful mutations. Most of them are derived from dangerous monsters and beasts from various worlds.”
He paused briefly before continuing. “I was particularly obsessed with creating monsters and beasts that I planned to release in the presence of raiders and invaders. I know it sounds kind of silly, but I created a lot of them. Now, I am thinking about hatching these eggs and creating the monster worlds I once dreamed of building.”
“A monster world?” Amaya asked, her eyes lighting up. “You mean a world filled with nothing but monsters? That sounds super exciting!”
“Right? See, she understands,” Damian said, pointing at Amaya while looking toward the Primordial Beginning, as if finally vindicated.
“It is counterproductive to use a viable world with the potential to develop intelligent life solely to raise beasts and monsters,” the Primordial Beginning replied calmly. “Most of your creations are predatory in nature. They will not allow any weaker life forms to exist in that world.”
“Come on… it’s just a couple of worlds. It will be worth it. I can see millions of possibilities in doing this, possibilities that could help strengthen our universe,” Damian said confidently.
“You are the Heavenly Son and the Eighth Primordial. You can do whatever you want, however you want,” the primordial being replied calmly.
“I know I can, but I still want my favorite primordial’s support,” Damian said, grabbing her shoulders and shaking them lightly.
Her expression did not change.
“If your actions produce productive results, then they will automatically become a viable part of universal development,” the primordial being said in a robotic tone.
“I’ll take that as you supporting me,” Damian said with a smile.
“…”
The poor primordial being remained silent.
She already knew Damian was going to succeed.
It was only a matter of time.
Everything she had said until now was simply a statement of fact based on the current state of things.
Compared to what Damian was planning to do, it was counterproductive in the present.
It might become productive in the future, but that future had yet to arrive.
“Darling, what hatches from those eggs?” Lenora asked, pointing toward the three enormous eggs placed in the most heavily protected part of the dome.
Each of them was as large as an elephant.
The egg on the right was covered in brown, droplet-like patterns.
The one in the middle was entirely black and white, while the egg on the left looked as though it had been drenched in gold and blood.
“They’re insect type beast eggs. Well, I altered their natures so much that they’re more than beasts now,” Damian said as he walked toward them.
“The right egg will hatch into a beast called the Hollow Ruinmite Queen. The left egg will hatch into the Bleeding Beehive Queen,” Damian continued, glancing at everyone. “The middle egg will hatch into a Mutated Beast Ant Queen.”
“Wait, did you just say Beast Ant Queen?” Tiana Valthryne asked, her expression filled with shock.
“Yeah, I figured you’d know that particular beast,” Damian said before continuing, knowing many present were unfamiliar with it. “A Beast Ant Queen has the ability to lay an infinite number of eggs, producing Beast Ants. Their population growth rate is astonishing, and the longer the queen remains alive, the stronger both she and the ants she produces become.”
“Not just that, they’re a pain in the ass to deal with,” Akira Kaminari added. “They live underground and are extremely good at concealing themselves. Hunting them down is incredibly difficult, and even if you find the colony, as long as the Beast Ant Queen survives, the colony will recover.”
“It’s a very rare beast,” Selia Ravendor said. “Because once one appears, it’s hunted down by any means necessary.”
“That egg will hatch into a mutated Beast Ant Queen, an altered version of the original,” Damian explained. “This species can continuously mutate by consuming the flesh of other beasts, and their population growth is ten times faster than that of a normal Beast Ant colony.”
“I also used the Beast Ant as a base to create two other insect type beasts of similar nature,” he continued, “resulting in the Hollow Ruinmite Queen and the Bleeding Beehive Queen.”
“These are dangerous beings, son,” Valentina said with a sigh. “What were you thinking, creating things like this?”
“Well, I was aiming to create beasts that could rapidly reproduce and hunt in every environment, underground, on land, underwater, and in the sky,” Damian replied. “That’s how I got the idea. I just happened to come across a Beast Ant colony and used it as my experimental subject, which resulted in these three eggs.”
“I would have moved on to creating the fourth beast, the one meant for underwater hunting, but I did not get the chance.”
