Chapter 205: I Don’t Respond Well To The Blackmail
Lisa, standing behind, could only stare in shock, her jaw dropping open as if it was about to touch the floor.

‘What… what the hell am I watching?’ she thought. ‘Is this a fever dream? Is my lady boss an action movie character?’

Lisa kept watching in shock as Evelyn ducked under a punch, her hair brushing the air where a fist had just been.

Evelyn slammed her baton upward into the attacker’s jaw, and the man’s teeth clacked together with a sickening crunch. He dropped to his knees, eyes rolling back.

“Three,” Evelyn chirped, almost too excitedly. “Does anyone else want a nap? Why are you guys looking so slow?”

Another man lunged from behind, grabbing her by the shoulders.

Lisa shouted, “Ma’am, behind you…!”

Evelyn twisted her body in an instant reflex, slamming the baton backward into the man’s crotch.

As he doubled over in pain, she pivoted and cracked the baton across his temple. He hit the floor with a thud.

Lisa could barely breathe. ‘She’s fast. Too fast.’

Evelyn’s movements were clean, efficient, and merciless.

Every strike landed exactly where it needed to.

There was no wasted motion, no hesitation. She moves as if she can predict enemy movements before they happen.

The fifth man tried to flank her from the side, thinking she was distracted. He swung a kick toward her ribs.

Evelyn caught his leg midair, twisted, and swept her baton in a clean arc, striking the back of his knee.

The “Crack” sounds echo. The electric crackle made his muscles seize instantly, and he fell face-first to the ground.

The final man hesitated for a fraction of a second.

Evelyn raised an eyebrow. “Oh, come on,” she taunted. “Don’t make me chase you. I’m wearing heels.”

That seemed to be enough to spark his pride. He charged forward with a roar. Evelyn smiled faintly… too easy.

She spun the baton once, ducked under his wild swing, and jammed the pointed tip into his shoulder.

The electric shock ripped through him, and his scream filled the air. Evelyn yanked the baton free and jabbed him once more in the chest for good measure. He crumpled like a marionette with cut strings.

Evelyn straightened her back, exhaled slowly, and flicked a strand of hair out of her face.

The room was silent except for the faint hum of her baton.

Six men lay sprawled across the floor.

Lisa blinked once. Twice. Then whispered under her breath, “What… just happened?”

Alicia and Stella stood beside her, equally speechless.

“I think…. My sister just killed them,” Stella whispered, wide-eyed.

Alicia blinked, shaking her head quickly. “No, she couldn’t have… right?”

Lisa swallowed hard. “Well, if she didn’t, then they’re definitely considering early retirement.”

Stella’s gaze darted between the unconscious men and Evelyn, who was casually examining the baton as if it were a new kitchen utensil.

“Remind me never to make my sister angry,” Stella muttered.

Stella knew Evelyn had mastered martial arts. She saw her beat that bastard, Lewis Harrison, in Grayenfall. But this time was different… Not just one big man, but six.

‘Whoa, sister… You are so fucking amazing!’ Stella can’t help but praise. Her sister is truly intimidating when she’s angry. She can easily make those men fall, as if they’re just broken dolls.

“Remind me never to stand near her when she’s angry,” Alicia replied to Stella, clutching her chest. “I’m still trying to find my heartbeat.”

Evelyn turned her head slightly toward them and smiled.

“You girls alright over there?”

Stella and the others nod.

Evelyn smiled in relief. “Don’t worry, I didn’t kill them… they just fainted because they were too weak.”

Lisa laughed nervously. “That’s… comforting, Ma’am. Very comforting. I hate having to take care of dead bodies.”

Stella pointed weakly at one of the fallen men. “I think he twitched.”

Evelyn glanced down and nudged him lightly with her shoe.

“Oi! Still breathing?” she asked. “It seems… this one is pretending to faint.”

Alicia exhaled shakily, pressing a hand over her racing heart. “E-Eve… where did you learn to fight like that?”

Evelyn smiled faintly, spinning the baton once before saying, “Let’s just say my childhood had some… extracurricular training.”

Lisa couldn’t help but mutter to herself, ‘And here I thought she was the type of woman who would faint at the sight of blood.’

Evelyn rolled her shoulders, feeling the muscles in her arm ache slightly. She flexed her fingers, wincing softly.

“Ugh. Haven’t done that in a while. Forgot how hard these guys hit.”

Lisa can’t help but smile when she hears that, “Ma’am, you mean… You’re beating them hard!? You threw them around like rag dolls!”

Evelyn chuckled. “Well, practice makes perfect.”

In the far corner behind her, William Walters stood silent, his face pale and colorless as if all his blood had abandoned him.

His jaw tightened as his eyes darted across the room…

His expensive furniture was shattered. His men sprawled out like discarded puppets, and his perfectly calm daughter was standing amidst the wreckage with a faint, almost teasing smile.

Evelyn turned to face him fully, lifting her chin slightly. Her fingers toyed lazily with the baton as she regarded him with quiet amusement.

“You really should stop hiring amateurs, Mr. Walters,” she said. “They bruise too easily.”

William’s face darkened, his rage simmering beneath the surface. “You think this is a joke?”

“No. But watching you lose your temper might be.”

Lisa nearly choked trying not to laugh.

Stella and Alicia exchanged glances, their expressions a mix of awe and disbelief.

Evelyn took a step closer to her father, her tone soft but sharp, “Next time you want to threaten me, don’t involve innocent people. I don’t respond well to blackmail. You should know that by now.”

She flexed her sore hand once more, her baton still humming faintly with residual electricity.

The six unconscious men groaned faintly on the floor, the smell of blood hanging in the air.

Evelyn gave a satisfied sigh and glanced back at her father.

“Now,” she said calmly, “where were we before you decided to ruin your own living room?”

William Walters didn’t answer. He simply glared at her, fury blazing in his eyes.

Evelyn tilted her head and observed him for a moment before saying, “You seem tense, Mr. Walter. Ask your mistress to teach you yoga… It’s perfect for calming your emotions.”

Lisa snorted before quickly covering her mouth, while Stella and Alicia both stifled nervous laughter.

Evelyn turned her attention briefly toward her fallen opponents.

“If any of you are still awake,” she said dryly, “do yourselves a favor and stay down. I’m not in the mood for an encore.”

Then, with a final flick of her baton and an elegant turn, Evelyn walked back toward Alicia and Stella, her composure perfectly intact.

However, this is not the end.
