Chapter 204: Seriously, You Want To Use Violence?
Lisa’s heart tightened.

It would be a lie if she weren’t nervous at all.

She was!

In her eyes, her lady boss had always been the epitome of elegance and composure, more a boardroom queen, a graceful mother and wife than a back-alley fighter. She wore heels, not combat boots.

There was nothing in her demeanor that suggested she was a fighter.

Still, when her lady boss extended her hand patiently and said, “The baton, Lisa…” she had no choice but to give it to her.

With a silent prayer to any higher power willing to listen, Lisa reluctantly handed it over.

‘Dear Gods… Whoever Gods are available now… Please, please, make sure my lady boss won’t get hurt. Or my big boss Axel will fire me on my first day guarding his wife.’

Evelyn smiled softly as she accepted the weapon, testing its weight with a light swing.

The metal rod gleamed under the chandelier’s light.

“Ma’am…” Lisa, lean in and whisper, “This is not an ordinary weapon. You will know when you use it on them. Good luck!”

“Thank you…” she said, then stepped forward.

The six men were only a few paces away now, their expressions unchanged.

The tallest of them, a wall of muscle with a scar on his face, cracked his knuckles.

Evelyn didn’t react.

Instead, Evelyn glanced back at Lisa, who was still frozen in a mix of panic and awe. “Stay back,” she said. “And make sure Stella and Alicia don’t faint.”

“Faint?” Lisa squeaked. “You mean die of shock?”

Evelyn didn’t reply. She turned her gaze back to the men advancing toward her.

Her eyes sharpened. And her playful smirk faded into something colder, far more controlled.

‘Ready to kick ass, Eve!?’

Evelyn tries to humor herself while her hand tightens around the baton, her posture shifting just enough for Lisa to notice; precise, balanced, and strangely familiar.

Lisa’s eyes widened slightly as she realized something. ‘Wait, Wait… that’s a fighting stance. My lady boss can fight?’

Evelyn shifted her gaze toward the man just a few steps away from her.

“You know, this is really unnecessary,” her voice was calm and almost bored.

The man with a scar on his face didn’t respond. Instead, he gestures to the man behind him to spread out, forming a semicircle around her.

Stella finally found her voice. “S-Sister Eve… please don’t do this! Let’s leave this place…” Her voice was trembling, filled with fear.

Alicia tugged at Lisa’s sleeve, whispering, “Please stop her. Please make sure she doesn’t get hurt.”

“Ma’am, I’m already trying to stop her,” Lisa whispered, “but it’s not working.”

While Lisa and the others worry behind her, Evelyn stays calm, facing her father’s bodyguard.

The bald man in front took another step forward, flexing his hands.

Evelyn’s gaze followed him lazily, then drifted toward her father, who stood behind them watching with grim satisfaction.

She took a deep breath, letting it out slowly. Her heartbeat was steady. Controlled.

When she finally spoke, “Seriously, Mr. Walters?” she asked, her voice rang sharp, breaking the silence. “You want to use violence?”

William Walters’ lips curved into a cruel smile. “You leave me no choice. If you sign the paper freely, this won’t happen…”

Evelyn didn’t give in to her father’s wish; instead, she is ready to beat them all.

She adjusted her grip on the weapon, her tone quiet but deadly sure. “Then I guess… I don’t have one either.”

The moment William Walters shouted, “What are you guys waiting for? Capture her!” The air in the living room turned heavy.

Evelyn’s expression remained steady. Her fingers twitched once around the baton, her muscles coiling like springs beneath her calm exterior.

Then, without warning, she moved.

In a single motion, she kicked the coffee table in front of her.

The heavy wooden furniture screeched across the marble floor and slammed into the man with a scar across his cheek. The sound of the impact cracked through the room.

He barely had time to grunt before the table smashed into his legs, knocking him off balance.

His massive frame staggered forward, crashing into another piece of furniture with a grunt.

Evelyn’s eyes flickered with amusement. “Oops,” she said dryly. “Guess that’s one way to serve coffee.”

Before anyone could process what happened, Evelyn lunged. Her baton hummed to life, blue sparks flickering along its edge.

With a precise target, she swung it straight into the back of the man’s head. She hit it too hard. The jolt of electricity surged through him, and his body went stiff, eyes rolling up before he crumpled like a broken statue.

The room fell into stunned silence.

For a split second, nobody moved.

Not the five remaining bodyguards, not even William Walters himself. His eyes widened in disbelief. His elegant, polished daughter, the one who once sipped tea in designer heels, had just taken down a man twice her size in less than three seconds.

“Don’t just stand there!” William roared, his face turning red. “Get her! All of you!”

The five bodyguards snapped back to life.

They fanned out, circling Evelyn, who stood calmly at the center of the chaos.

Evelyn slightly tilted her head, maintaining a calm expression as if she was thoughtfully choosing which one to attack first.

“You boys look nervous,” she said lightly. “Don’t be afraid. I promise I’ll make it quick and harmless…”

Her words only caused the five bodyguards’ faces to turn ugly.

One of the men charged first, swinging a punch that could have broken a wall.

However, Evelyn sidestepped effortlessly, catching his wrist mid-swing.

She twisted it sharply, pivoted on one heel, and used his own momentum to throw him over her shoulder.

His body crashed to the ground with a thud that rattled the chandelier.

Another came from her left.

Evelyn spun, low and fast, her leg sweeping under his feet. The man toppled, and before he could rise, she jabbed her baton into his ribs. The current crackled, and he spasmed once before collapsing.

“Two down,” Evelyn muttered with a grin. “Four more lumps of muscle to go. Damn you guys, so weak! Are you all seriously professional bodyguards?”

…

Lisa, standing behind, could only stare in shock, her jaw dropping open as if it was about to touch the floor.
