Chapter 476: Meeting Jisha Again
In the inn’s lobby, Jisha and Leina sat on chairs, with five soldiers standing behind them.

The inn staff looked visibly shocked when they saw Leina.

“Why is Prime Minister Leina here?” one of them asked fearfully.

“I don’t know, buddy. But it seems related to the guest on the top floor,” his friend replied in a hushed, panicked voice.

Someone with a status as high as Leina’s had actually come to their inn. If they hadn’t seen it with their own eyes, they would have thought they were dreaming.

“Prepare tea and snacks for Prime Minister Leina and the guest on the top floor,” the innkeeper ordered.

The two staff members didn’t dare to argue and hurried to carry out the order.

Meanwhile, Leina sat quietly, observing the interior around her.

“From what I see, this is just an ordinary inn. I don’t understand why Prince Nolan, Princess Sharon, Cassiopeia, and Draco would choose a place like this,” she whispered, clearly puzzled.

They were all high-ranking figures. Staying at a third-class inn like this felt strange and illogical.

Jisha, sitting beside her, remained silent. She was also curious about Nolan’s decision.

Soon after, the sound of footsteps echoed from the stairs ahead. A moment later, Cassiopeia appeared, followed by Draco, Sharon, and Nolan.

Jisha’s eyes lit up when she saw Nolan. However, she quickly restrained her emotions and put on a cold expression.

Nolan couldn’t hold back his laughter. He walked toward her and greeted Jisha. “Tsk! Tsk! Look who it is. Jisha? It’s been a long time since we last met.”

His voice sounded intimate, as if they had been close friends for years.

Jisha blushed but maintained her cold demeanor.

“Nolan Lorian, don’t act so familiar with me,” she snorted, turning her face away.

Sharon frowned, clearly irritated by Jisha’s attitude.

Nolan patted Sharon on the shoulder to calm her, then took a seat across from them.

“Alright, I don’t like small talk. So, what’s your purpose for coming here, Prime Minister Leina? And…”

He glanced at Jisha with a playful look. “What do you mean by bringing her along? You’re not using her as an excuse to meet me, are you?”

Being exposed so directly, Leina felt embarrassed, but she couldn’t back down.

With a small nod, she admitted, “Yes. I brought Miss Jisha so I could meet you. Are you satisfied with that answer?”

At this moment, her position was no longer that of a negotiator but of someone seeking help.

It was better to be honest than to lie and risk provoking Nolan.

“Yeah, I’m very satisfied.” Nolan nodded contentedly. “For some reason, seeing you pushed into a corner is quite enjoyable. It’s very different from your former arrogant attitude.”

A hint of mockery flashed in his eyes.

Leina bit her lip and clenched her fists.

Who wouldn’t be angry at being mocked so openly?

Unfortunately, she couldn’t argue and could only suppress her emotions.

“Prince Nolan, can we restart the negotiations?” Leina forced a smile. “The situation in the Kingdom of Kaldarion is getting worse. Let’s rebuild our relationship and benefit from this cooperation.”

Nolan merely smiled at her words.

Two inn staff members entered, carrying six cups of tea and four plates of snacks.

“E-excuse me,” one of them said in a trembling voice.

Nolan said nothing, allowing them to place the cups and plates on the table.

Once they were done, the two staff hurried away. Nolan then lifted his cup and took a sip of tea.

“Prime Minister Leina, I know you’re a smart person,” he said, setting the cup back onto its saucer. “So I’m sure you’ve heard the old saying, ‘The rice has become porridge,’ right?”

Leina froze. Her eyes widened, and her breath caught in her throat.

“Prince Nolan…”

She was about to speak, but Nolan raised his hand to stop her.

“I’m sorry, but that’s my answer. Please leave.”

Without another word, he stood up, turned around, and walked away.

Sharon, Cassiopeia, and Draco followed him.

Watching their figures disappear, Leina wanted to stop him, but she held herself back.

What right did she have to do that?

As Nolan had said, the rice had already become porridge.

The once-good relationship between the Great Velmora Empire and Kaldarion had been destroyed by the king’s negligence… and by her own as well.

But suddenly—

“Wait! Nolan, don’t just leave like that!”

Jisha stood up and stopped him.

Nolan paused, then turned to look at her with a hesitant expression.

“What do you want?” he frowned. “You don’t intend to help them this far, do you?”

Jisha pursed her lips, then replied firmly, “The princess of the Kingdom of Kaldarion is my junior sister. I promised her father that I would help. So please, give them a chance.”

Her eyes carried both hope and sadness.

Jisha had a beautiful face. However, unlike Sharon’s mature and charming beauty, she looked more like a freshly blossomed youth—delicate, with a body that seemed more developed than her age suggested.

Nolan recalled that in his previous world, people from the ordinary class were fond of animations from eastern countries.

The characters in those animations were diverse—older sisters, mature women, and young girls whose bodies didn’t quite match their age.

And Jisha clearly belonged to the latter.

If ordinary men saw her sorrowful expression, they would surely feel their hearts soften.

But who was Nolan? He was a realistic man who believed men and women were equal.

It was impossible for him to be captivated by Jisha’s charms.

Even so, he didn’t reject her outright. Instead, he chose to tease her.

“Alright, I’ll help you.”

His answer made Jisha and Leina brighten with joy. But before that happiness could last, Nolan’s next words shattered their expectations.

“Of course—but on one condition. You know what that is, right?”

Nolan’s purple eyes swept over Jisha from head to toe.

Jisha froze, not expecting him to look at her like that.

She instinctively crossed her arms over her chest and glared at him.

“What are you looking at?” she snapped, baring her teeth.

Sharon, Cassiopeia, and the others stared at Nolan with strange expressions, clearly surprised by his behavior.

Nolan, however, showed no panic and made no effort to explain himself.

Folding his arms, he spoke casually, “Don’t misunderstand. I’m not interested in you—certainly not in your stature.”

His expression carried clear disdain, as if the idea itself annoyed him.

Jisha: “…”

Veins throbbed on her forehead as she clenched her fists.

“Nolan Lorian… you—”

Before she could finish, Nolan cut her off.

“All I want is your cloak. Give it to me, and I’ll cooperate with the Kingdom of Kaldarion. How about it?”
