Chapter 471: Killing the White Dragon
Nolan turned toward the dragon and looked at her casually.

“Why did I save her? Because I felt like it. Is that good enough for you?”

The white dragon was stunned by his reply.

A moment later, rage filled her face as she lifted her massive foot and stomped down.

Boom!

A violent explosion erupted, and black dust spread in all directions.

When the dragon lifted her foot again, Nolan and Sylvia were gone.

“Looking for me?” A playful voice came from behind her.

Before she could react, a powerful punch slammed into the right side of her face.

Bang!

Her massive body was sent flying more than four hundred meters before crashing into the ground.

“Damn…” the dragon growled in fury.

Because of the earlier black fire, the hard skin covering her body had been completely burned away.

Even when she tried to restore it, its strength was no longer the same as before.

She did not understand why, but she was certain the black fire was the cause.

She stood up and glared at Nolan in the air, carrying Sylvia in his arms.

“I don’t want to fight you,” Nolan said calmly. “So it’s better to stop here. Oh, and don’t attack the surrounding area. Otherwise, I’ll finish you off right now.”

The veiled threat in his tone only made the dragon angrier.

She spread her wings and opened her mouth wide.

Buzz!

A sphere of energy formed in front of her, followed by twenty more appearing between her wings.

“How arrogant! Feel my power, human!”

Whoosh!

She hurled all the energy spheres at Nolan.

A single one was enough to destroy a city—let alone more than twenty.

Unfortunately for the dragon, she was facing Nolan—the nightmare of monsters across this continent.

Just as the attack was about to hit him, the space around Nolan froze.

All the energy spheres stopped as well.

Then an enormous mouth emerged from a crack in space and devoured them all before disappearing.

Witnessing this scene, the dragon was overwhelmed with fear.

“You… who are you? This power should be impossible for a living being to possess!”

Only now did she realize how terrifying the man before her truly was.

He did not emit the slightest aura, as if he were nothing more than an ordinary human.

However, the abilities he had just displayed clearly proved otherwise—he was extremely powerful, even surpassing the woman she had fought earlier.

Suddenly, the dragon recalled the existence of the seven beings who stood at the pinnacle of this world.

“Wait… Don’t tell me you are—”

Before she could finish, a fifteen-meter-long black spear shot out at terrifying speed.

Srck!

The spear pierced her stomach without giving her the slightest chance to react.

The searing pain forced her to release a thunderous roar.

She tried to destroy the spear but failed.

It was as if the weapon had fused with space itself, making it completely untouchable.

Blue-green blood spilled from her body, flowing rapidly downward.

The dragon’s body tried to recover on its own, but it was futile.

Suddenly, the black spear began to spin, forming a terrifying vortex.

At the same time, the dragon’s body started to crumble. Her internal organs fell to the ground, while her limbs tore away and were flung aside.

“No… don’t! I don’t want to… die!”

Her scream was so agonizing that anyone who heard it would feel their soul tremble.

In the end, the dragon’s body vanished completely, leaving only scattered limbs and internal organs on the ground.

Nolan slowly descended and landed casually. He placed Sylvia on the ground, then walked toward the remains of the dragon.

“Hah…” He let out a long sigh. “How annoying. I shouldn’t have killed her. After all, the dragon was still useful for my plan to suppress Glarvic.”

If the dragon hadn’t attacked him, he would never have killed her.

Unfortunately, what was done could not be undone.

Raising his right hand, the dragon’s limbs and internal organs floated into the air.

Black flames appeared and burned them. The process lasted a full hour before finally stopping.

When the flames disappeared, a thick red liquid remained, floating in the air.

Nolan took out an empty bottle and filled it with the liquid.

“This should be enough to awaken the dragon’s bloodline in the egg,” he muttered.

Since he had killed its mother, he had no choice but to take responsibility for the egg.

Taking care of a dragon was troublesome, and he had initially rejected the idea.

However, after some thought, raising a baby dragon seemed quite interesting, so he changed his mind.

After putting the bottle away, Nolan rubbed his chin, as if deep in thought.

The death of the white dragon had disrupted his plans. It was his fault, so he needed to find a solution.

Suddenly, an idea surfaced, and a faint smile appeared on his face.

…

“Hah… hah… hah…” Jisha panted, wiping away sweat that wasn’t really there. “Are we going to keep going like this?”

More than an hour had passed since she and Olivia began wandering aimlessly, yet they still hadn’t found any way out.

Olivia looked exhausted as well. She had yet to awaken her powers, and her physical strength was nothing special.

“Do you want to… rest?” Olivia asked softly.

Jisha shook her head. “No, we can’t rest.”

The snowstorm was closing in from all directions, and without her magic, both she and Olivia would freeze to death.

But maintaining that spell consumed a huge amount of mana.

If they stopped moving, it would only worsen the situation—especially for her.

On top of that, there was always the chance that monsters could appear at any moment, which would be extremely troublesome.

Olivia said nothing and only nodded weakly.

Suddenly, she sensed movement to her right. Turning her head, she saw an old man appear, dressed in thick winter clothes.

He was hunched over, his face wrinkled with age, and his body looked frail.

Yet strangely, in the heart of the raging storm, he seemed completely unaffected, standing there with an inexplicable sense of strength.

Olivia felt a surge of sympathy and was about to step forward, but Jisha quickly stopped her.

“Excuse me,” Jisha said cautiously, “who are you?”

It was impossible for an old man to appear in the middle of such a violent storm, especially in a deserted forest.

The old man did not answer immediately. He simply pointed in a certain direction and whispered weakly, “If you want to survive, go that way. You’ll be able to return to where you came from.”

After saying that, he turned around and left without another word.

Jisha was clearly confused. She couldn’t understand why a complete stranger would give them directions home.

“Do you think he can be trusted?” Jisha asked.

Olivia nodded firmly. “He can be trusted. I don’t sense any deception from him.”

Hearing the certainty in her voice, Jisha said nothing more and chose to follow the direction the old man had indicated.

What they didn’t realize was that once they were out of sight, the old man transformed into Nolan, now clad in a black cloak.

He removed his mask and watched them disappear into the storm, a faint smile forming on his lips.
