453: Reversal and the Truth (2) 453: Reversal and the Truth (2) “In that case, please help me, Malverna,” Elina said coldly.

“Okay!” Malverna’s relaxed voice echoed in her mind.

Buzz!

A black light suddenly materialized before Elina.

Its sudden appearance made everyone instinctively shield their faces with their arms.

Moments later, the light vanished, revealing a woman with long white hair standing before Elina.

She was tall, clad in a black dress that accentuated her seductive curves.

A mysterious mask concealed her face, leaving everyone guessing at her features.

Everyone, including Ragan, immediately went on high alert.

“Who are you?” Ragan asked cautiously.

For some reason, the woman exuded a subtle pressure that pierced his soul.

His body trembled under the force of her presence.

It wasn’t just Ragan-even the Singularity of Light sensed the danger radiating from her.

He instinctively pushed Adalen, Dariel, and his relatives back while staring at her intently.

Malverna fixed Ragan with a cold gaze and said, “You don’t need to know.

The important thing is that I’m here to defend Elina Lorian against these accusations.” Her gaze then shifted to Cassian, who was barely twenty meters away.

Cassian swallowed hard and stumbled back, fear overtaking him.

‘D-Demon Emperor Zerathos!

H-Help me!

This woman is terrifying!’ He cried, panicked.

Her gaze seemed to pierce his very soul-truly terrifying.

Zerathos remained silent, not out of choice, but because he was just as frightened as Cassian.

‘Who is she?

Why do I feel… an inexplicable familiarity?’ He muttered, biting his lower lip.

The deepest part of his heart screamed for him to run.

Otherwise, death was certain.

He had never felt fear like this, not even from the two transcendents who had once killed him.

“What do you mean Elina is innocent, Miss?” Ragan asked cautiously, his confusion obvious.

Malverna didn’t answer.

Under everyone’s gaze, she clenched her right fist.

A blackish-blue flame erupted from her hand, instantly scorching the area within a two-hundred-meter radius.

The Singularity of Light was shocked and ready to intervene, but Malverna moved far too fast.

Whoosh!

She thrust her fist toward Cassian.

The punch cut through the air like a massive fist of blue flame, slamming into him.

Boom!

A colossal explosion shook the ground.

Everyone’s ears rang violently, as if their eardrums had been struck.

The fiery punch moved so fast that Cassian had no time to react.

Boom!

The impact unleashed an even larger explosion, sweeping everyone around him off their feet.

Only Adalen’s supporters, shielded by the Singularity of Light, remained standing.

Even so, the force of the initial blast hurt their ears so badly that blood trickled from their ear canals.

Black smoke blanketed the area within a three-hundred-meter radius.

“Cough!” Ragan coughed, clutching his aching chest.

“Damn… what happened?

Who… who was that woman?” He growled in frustration and tried to stand but failed.

His legs felt weak, and both his ears throbbed with pain.

“Your Majesty!” Lyra’s anxious voice came from behind.

She quickly moved to support him, helping him stand carefully.

“Are you okay?” she asked, worry etched on her face.

Ragan waved his hand weakly.

“I’m fine.

How about you?

Are you all right?” Lyra exhaled in relief.

“I’m fine, Your Majesty.” Her gaze swept the smoke-filled area.

“But I don’t know about the others.

The attack came so fast, I didn’t even have time to react.” The mysterious woman’s power was overwhelming.

Her aura alone made her shiver.

And when the woman had struck, Lyra hadn’t been able to defend herself, leaving her heart heavy with guilt.

Ragan gritted his teeth, a hint of panic in his voice.

“Quick, get rid of this smoke!

We have to save Cassian!” The masked woman’s attack had been aimed squarely at Cassian.

The force alone had sent Ragan flying several meters-what chance did his son have if he had actually been hit?

Lyra said nothing.

She raised her right hand, and the black smoke vanished instantly, as if swept away by a gust of wind.

Ragan rushed toward Cassian-but froze mid-step.

His eyes widened, chest heaving with heavy breaths.

Lyra beside him was equally stunned.

She pressed her palm to her mouth, unable to believe what she saw.

“Ahem!” Cassian coughed, slowly opening his eyes.

“Am I… still alive?” He looked around at the devastation.

The ground beneath him was cracked, forming a hole half a meter deep.

Only the ground directly beneath his feet remained intact.

Cassian let out a long, shaky sigh as he rubbed his chest.

“Thank God I’m safe.

Demon Emperor Zerathos… Was this your doing?” “Yeah,” Zerathos’ annoyed, dissatisfied voice echoed in his mind.

“I took over your body to block that woman’s attack.

I didn’t expect her to strike with such a terrifying force.

Did she mean to kill you?” The attack had been so powerful that he’d needed to expend fifty percent of his strength just to defend Cassian.

Keep in mind-he had been a very powerful Demon Emperor in the past.

Even now, though no longer at his peak, his power remained considerable.

Not to boast, but he could have taken on Lyra one-on-one, repeatedly.

Yet a single strike from the masked woman had forced him to use half his power.

It would be a lie if Zerathos claimed he wasn’t afraid.

Cassian shook his head weakly.

“I don’t know either… but judging by her attack, she definitely wants to kill me.” Suddenly, he sensed something strange.

He looked up to see his father and everyone around him staring with expressions he couldn’t read.

‘What’s going on?

Why are they all looking at me like that?’ he wondered, his face twisted with confusion.

Still unsure, he decided to ask.

“Father… What’s wrong?

Why are you looking at me like that?” Ragan didn’t answer.

His eyes burned with disbelief, anger, and despair.

He lowered his head, clenched his fists, and roared, “You bastard!

You’ve been the culprit all along, and yet you blamed your sister earlier?

I’m ashamed to have a son like you!” Cassian froze, unable to comprehend what he was hearing.

“Father… what do you mean?

Why am I being blamed?” “Still pretending to be ignorant?

Even in front of everyone?” Ragan panted, eyes blazing.

Confusion overwhelmed Cassian.

He glanced at the nobles and his siblings, only to see the same accusatory expressions reflected in their faces.

Then, with a mocking smirk, Elina pointed at his head.

“Look at your head, fool.” Cassian’s hands flew to his head.

His eyes widened in terror.

“Horns?”
