400: A Sign of the Demon Emperor’s Rebirth 400: A Sign of the Demon Emperor’s Rebirth Elina let out a small sigh when she saw the shadow appear.

With its presence here, she no longer needed to worry about being attacked by the assassin.

“I’m sorry for troubling you,” Elina said as she tried to get up.

The pain from the assassin’s blow had subsided, but it still felt sharp.

The shadow-none other than Malverna-shook her head.

“It’s okay.

It’s my job to protect you.

Now, go back.

Let me handle this,” she replied indifferently.

Elina nodded slightly.

Without saying anything else, she turned and ran toward her mansion.

The man was surprised and wanted to chase after her, but his steps were immediately blocked by Malverna.

“I am your opponent,” she declared coldly.

“Who are you?” The man narrowed his eyes warily.

He could feel the terrifying power coming from her.

The shadow slowly transformed into a very beautiful woman.

“You don’t need to know who I am.

What’s important now is that I’m going to teach you a lesson, you weak demon.” Malverna smiled slightly.

Hearing the mockery, the man grew enraged.

“So you know I’m a demon, huh?

It seems I’ve found a worthy opponent.” He opened his left palm, and a black sword with a terrifying aura appeared in the air.

He gripped the hilt and lunged toward Malverna.

“Die!” Raising his sword, he swung it at her.

If it had been Elina, she would have died instantly.

The sword was a demon blade that had absorbed countless human blood essences.

Its deadly power was so strong that it could kill anyone struck by its edge-let alone be decapitated by it.

However, his opponent was Malverna.

Facing the attack, Malverna casually raised her hand and pinched the blade between her index and middle fingers.

“What?” The man was stunned.

Before he could react, Malverna clenched her left palm and punched him in the stomach.

Bang!

The blow was so powerful that it created an explosion in the air.

The man’s body was thrown dozens of meters before crashing into a row of trees and destroying them.

“So weak,” Malverna muttered with a small sigh.

“Have the demons of this era become so spoiled?

How embarrassing.” For the first time, Malverna felt disgusted with her own race.

The demons of her era had been very strong.

It was no exaggeration to say that even the weakest among them was equivalent to a trained soldier.

But just now, a simple punch had sent the man flying.

If the demons of her era knew about this, they would be deeply embarrassed and sad.

“Ahem!” The man coughed while covering his mouth.

When he looked at his palm, there was a spot of blood.

Damn…

who is she exactly?

Why is she so strong?

He wondered fearfully.

With just one punch, he felt as if he had come face-to-face with the Reaper.

If his body weren’t far stronger than the average demon’s, that single blow would have ended him.

“Come on, show me your strength.

Is that all you’ve got?” Malverna made a provocative gesture.

“You…” The man gritted his teeth in anger.

In the past, he was the one who often made such provocative gestures.

But now, his enemy was doing the same thing, and it made him very angry.

“Don’t get too excited!” The man gritted his teeth.

He thrust the tip of his sword into the ground.

Then, he pressed his palms together.

A moment later, demonic power burst out like a crashing tidal wave.

The surrounding pressure spiked, and the air turned noticeably colder.

Fortunately, no one else was around.

Otherwise, they wouldn’t have been able to withstand such a sudden drop in temperature.

Whoosh!

Four black lights appeared beside the man.

Moments later, the lights formed figures identical to him.

They held the same demonic swords-even their auras were the same.

In a flash, the four of them, along with the man, charged toward Malverna.

Slash!

One of them swung his sword at Malverna’s neck but missed.

Malverna dodged effortlessly.

As she was about to retaliate, another figure appeared above her and tried to slash her head, but she dodged again.

A fierce battle erupted, and at first glance, it looked like Malverna was at a disadvantage.

“What’s wrong?

Having trouble now?

Hahaha!” The man burst out laughing.

“Don’t worry.

After I kill you, I’ll eat your flesh and become much stronger!

So get ready to be my meal!” He spun his body and slashed Malverna in two.

Red blood spurted in all directions; her body split to the right and left.

“Hahaha!” The man laughed again, filled with joy.

“You… lost!” “Lost?

Who says I lost?” A playful voice sounded from behind him.

His smile instantly froze.

With stiff movements, he turned around and saw Malverna sitting on a tree branch, swinging her legs.

A thin, mocking smile spread across her goddess-like face.

“You… How did you get there?

And…” He glanced at Malverna’s split “body” and saw that it had turned into a black doll.

“A doll?

What the hell is this?

Have I been tricked?” Seeing his panic and shock, Malverna exhaled softly.

What a foolish demon.

Demon Emperor, you have truly destroyed your own race, she muttered, her voice full of disdain.

She slowly climbed down from the tree trunk, landing gracefully.

With no shoes or coverings, her perfect white feet were fully exposed, and the night breeze occasionally lifted her skirt to reveal her white thighs.

“All right, enough playing around.

Let’s end this.” She raised her right hand.

Instantly, the space around the man seemed to condense.

The man panicked as he found himself unable to move even a single finger.

“What’s happening?

Why can’t I move?” No matter how hard he struggled, it was useless.

Then, a ten-meter-wide magic circle appeared above him.

In the next second, a purple-black fireball shot down like a meteor from the circle.

“No… Don’t kill me… I’m sorry!

No!

Demon Emperor, please help me!” Boom!

The fireball struck him and exploded.

Within a fifteen-meter radius, purple-black flames engulfed everything.

Fortunately, Malverna had set up a barrier to prevent the fire from spreading beyond the area.

Otherwise, the town of Virella might have been reduced to ashes.

Malverna stared indifferently at the scene, considering the man’s last words.

“Demon Emperor?

Don’t tell me… He’s been reincarnated in this world.” Her eyes narrowed, filled with murderous intent.

Come to think of it, it made sense.

Nolan had once said that her bastard disciple would rise sooner or later.

“Hehehe…” A beautiful yet terrifying laugh escaped her lips.

She lifted her head toward the dark, cloud-choked sky.

“My dear disciple, you’ve finally returned.

But don’t worry-this time, let your master guide you to hell…” ——– A/N: Thank you for your support!
