393: The Emergence of the Sea Monster, Kraken 393: The Emergence of the Sea Monster, Kraken Sharon stared at the octopus in amazement.

“An… octopus?” She muttered in confusion.

Instead of a fish, Nolan had caught an octopus-and it was huge, over two meters long.

If she hadn’t hurriedly cast a spell to restrain it, they wouldn’t have been able to hold it back.

Nolan was just as surprised as Sharon.

He stared at the octopus intently.

Its skin was black, and it had fifteen wriggling tentacles.

Strangely, its teeth were very sharp, like razors.

It was clear this was no ordinary octopus.

“What should we do?

Are we going to keep it?” Sharon asked.

Although it was a little creepy, the octopus had a lot of meat.

If cooked or barbecued, it would definitely be delicious.

Nolan fell silent for a moment, then replied, “We’d better let it go.

For some reason, I have a bad feeling about this.” The feeling came suddenly, and he was sure it wasn’t a good thing.

Sharon felt it was a shame to just let the octopus go.

However, since Nolan said so, she wasn’t going to force her will on him.

Just as she was about to release the spell binding the octopus, the calm sea suddenly turned turbulent.

A black shadow appeared and slowly grew larger.

“Not good!” Nolan exclaimed.

He hugged Sharon and pushed her backward.

Boom!

An explosion erupted in front of them.

Water splashed in all directions, even hitting Nolan and Sharon in the fishing area.

“Ahem!” Sharon coughed and peeked over Nolan’s shoulder.

When she saw the source of the explosion, her eyes widened in fear.

“A… monster!?” Nolan also turned around and saw a giant black octopus.

It was tens of meters tall, and a deafening roar came from its terrifying mouth.

“Kraken?

Why would it appear here?” Nolan muttered.

He never expected that the worst thing he imagined would actually happen.

The Kraken fixed its gaze on its child, who was floating in the air, wrapped in magic nets.

Its eyes flashed with anger and hatred.

Quickly, it swung its tentacles and struck the ship where Nolan stood.

Fortunately, Cassiopeia had planted a magic barrier around it, so the Kraken’s attack was blocked.

Even so, the impact was devastating.

The ship swayed violently, and the crew on deck could barely stay on their feet.

“Damn!

It’s the legendary monster-the Kraken!” Jack shouted in panic.

Among all the monsters, the Kraken was the one he least wanted to encounter on a sailing journey.

Compared to other monsters, the Kraken was extremely ferocious and cruel.

While others might not destroy a ship immediately, the Kraken was the opposite.

It would destroy any ship it encountered-even if the ship was simply passing through its territory.

But oddly enough, Jack remembered that they weren’t anywhere near Kraken territory.

The monster should have been in much deeper waters, about five hundred kilometers from here.

How could it have appeared here?

“Captain, what should we do?” one of the crew members shouted.

The others also looked at Jack, waiting for orders.

“Don’t panic!” Jack replied firmly.

“Five people stay and control the ship, while the others take their positions at the cannons.

Shoot the monster without mercy!” “Yes, Captain!” they responded in unison.

Jack didn’t stay still.

He had to ensure the safety of Nolan and Sharon, who were in the fishing area at the bottom of the ship.

Not long after Jack left, Cassiopeia and Draco ran onto the deck with serious expressions.

But when they saw the cause, their expressions relaxed again.

“A monster, huh?

It looks really strong.

Maybe it’s equivalent to a country-level monster,” Draco said casually.

Country-level monsters were extremely powerful and terrifying, named for their ability to destroy a kingdom or empire.

If the monster were a land creature, Draco and Cassiopeia might have been wary.

But since it was a sea monster, they weren’t worried at all.

They could unleash their power freely and finish it off without fearing collateral damage or harming innocent people.

They didn’t move immediately, waiting for the monster to tire itself out first.

Fortunately, a magical barrier protected the ship.

Boom!

Boom!

Explosion after explosion erupted as the crew fired their cannons at the monster.

Roar!

The monster let out a roar of pain.

Every attack struck its vital points.

Luckily, it had powerful healing abilities, allowing its wounds to regenerate quickly.

Even so, the cannon fire did not stop.

Instead, it only grew more intense until the monster was overwhelmed.

Meanwhile, Nolan and Sharon went up to the ship’s deck with Jack.

Cassiopeia and Draco turned around and noticed their clothes were soaking wet.

“What happened to you two, Your Highnesses?” Cassiopeia asked in confusion.

Sharon smiled awkwardly and explained, “Earlier, Nolan and I were fishing.

Unexpectedly, we caught a baby octopus.” She snapped her fingers, and a giant octopus two meters long appeared.

From its appearance, it didn’t look like an adult octopus but a baby.

It squirmed around, as if curious about its surroundings.

“This…” Cassiopeia was taken aback.

She looked at the raging monster, then at the octopus.

“Don’t tell me this is its baby?” It was impossible for the Kraken to appear and attack them without a reason.

Moreover, they weren’t even in the area where the monster was supposed to be.

“Well…” Sharon scratched her head in embarrassment.

“It seems that’s true.

This octopus must be its child.” The atmosphere went silent.

A moment later, Cassiopeia sighed deeply and glanced at Draco beside her.

“Talk to the monster.

Tell it that if it doesn’t want to die, it should stop its attack.

We’ll return its child,” Cassiopeia said.

After learning the reason, she felt there was no need to kill the monster.

Unless a monster appeared without reason and intended to kill them, she would definitely take action.

So resolving it peacefully was the wiser choice.

Draco nodded slightly.

He walked toward the ship’s railing, opened his mouth, and let out a dragon’s roar.

As a representative of the constellation “Draco,” he could communicate with animals or monsters, whether on land or in the sea.

When the Kraken heard his roar, it halted its attack and stared at Draco suspiciously.

Draco roared several more times before the Kraken’s anger slowly faded.

“Throw that octopus into the sea,” Draco ordered.

Cassiopeia snapped her fingers.

Instantly, the two-meter-long baby octopus floated upward, then shot off the ship and vanished into the sea.

The Kraken gave Draco a small nod.

Then it waved one of its tentacles, and suddenly hundreds of fish of various sizes burst out of the water, falling onto the ship’s deck.

The Kraken then returned to the depths of the ocean, leaving Nolan, Sharon, Jack, and the rest of the crew in silence.

“It seems…” Cassiopeia chuckled softly.

“We’ll be eating fish for the next few days.”
