373: The Mystery Behind the Ghost Ship (2) 373: The Mystery Behind the Ghost Ship (2) For the first time in his life, Nolan felt his heart race.

Even when facing a catastrophic monster, he had never experienced this sensation before.

He stared at the document in his hand, a mixture of surprise, doubt, and confusion on his face.

What is really happening?

Why are there words and language from my world?

Nolan muttered, dazed.

Ever since he first heard of the ghost ship, he had a lingering hunch that it didn’t belong to this world but to his previous one.

Yet the thought had always felt strange and unreasonable, so he had set it aside and never considered it again.

Now, after seeing the words and language in the document he held, the hunch he had once dismissed as absurd came rushing back.

It should be noted that a famous legend existed in his former world.

The legend spoke of a pirate ship from the late eighteenth century.

It was said that the ship constantly harassed passing merchant ships, often sinking them.

Its name was the Crimson Leviathan.

Strangely, in the tenth year of the nineteenth century, the ship suddenly vanished and was never seen again in the waters it once prowled.

Many speculated that it had been destroyed by the navies of countries fed up with its actions.

Yet no evidence ever confirmed this.

Even today, the disappearance of the Crimson Leviathan remains a mystery.

What Nolan still remembered was the pirate ship’s emblem-two crossed swords beneath a pirate hat.

He sank into deep thought; the situation made it nearly impossible to think clearly.

Still, he forced himself to calm down and began reading the document in his right hand.

Some parts were damaged or torn, but most of it was still legible.

A moment later, he set the document down and muttered, “So this ghost ship really is the Crimson Leviathan…” The guess that had once seemed absurd was, in fact, true.

“The Crimson Leviathan didn’t vanish because the navies that hated it destroyed it… but because it was brought to this world.

By whom?” Nolan’s mind raced.

From the moment he was first reincarnated into this world, he had known he wasn’t the only one who had been transported.

One proof of this was the presence of two transcendent heroes from his previous world.

The Ashbourne and Lionheart families were their descendants.

Even so, these heroes had not appeared by chance.

They had been summoned through special rituals carried out by the kingdoms and empires of this continent to oppose the Demon Emperor’s dominion.

No matter how Nolan thought about it, he could not find the answer.

The only way to uncover the truth was to read every document on the desk.

He quickly sorted through the pile, separating the legible documents from those too damaged to read.

Then he began reading them carefully, one by one.

Nolan had no idea how long he had been reading; there were no clocks here.

He estimated it had been anywhere from half an hour to an hour.

“So that’s how it is…” Nolan narrowed his eyes as he placed the last document on the desk.

By now, he finally understood the situation.

As he had suspected, the ship had been transported to this world by some mysterious entity.

The pirate ship’s captain, Levi Crussade, had written a fairly detailed account of their journey in this world.

On the first day, the crew had been confused and panicked, finding themselves in unfamiliar waters they knew nothing about.

They tried to gather information, but it was useless-the ship was in the middle of a vast, uncharted ocean.

According to Levi’s notes, they encountered terrifying monsters, including krakens, dragons, and more.

For sailors in general, such creatures might not have been shocking.

But Levi and his crew were from Nolan’s world-sea monsters like these existed only in legends.

Naturally, they were shocked, even frightened, upon encountering the creatures.

In time, they adapted, though it took a long while.

They also came across merchant ships, which they attacked to obtain much-needed food and search for information.

Unfortunately, language barriers prevented them from learning anything useful, and they continued to drift aimlessly.

At some point, all of Levi’s comrades had died-either from illness or old age-leaving him completely alone.

In his final note, he wrote a chilling line: “The sky suddenly opened up, and a black shadow emerged from the dark vortex.

The figure called itself a god and promised me eternal life.

But what exactly did it mean by ‘eternal life’?” Reading this, Nolan couldn’t help but think of one person who might be behind the ghost ship-the Singularity of Death.

Levi’s brief description matched his own memories perfectly.

The Singularity of Death had always been strange and irritating.

He considered himself a god, superior to all other beings-even other Singularities.

“If that’s true, everything makes sense,” Nolan chuckled softly.

“But…” His eyes turned cold.

“Turning others into ghosts isn’t exactly a good deed, you know?

Let’s see how I’ll teach you a lesson.” Coincidentally, Nolan had always wanted to punch that annoying man.

Until now, he had never had a good excuse-but now he did, and that was satisfying enough.

“All right…” Nolan stretched his aching body.

“Time to find my sister.

She must be worried about my disappearance.” One mystery remained: who had brought the Crimson Leviathan into this world?

He was certain it wasn’t the Singularity of Death.

Neither he nor the other six Singularities had the power to do something like that.

It was possible that an even more powerful entity was pulling the strings behind the scenes.

He didn’t know who it was yet-but he had a guess: the god… *** “Nolan, where are you?

Nolan?” Sharon hurried down the corridor of the ghost ship, panic rising in her chest.

She had been searching for him for almost half an hour.

Yet she still hadn’t found him, and with each passing second, her anxiety grew.

“Nolan, where-” Before she could finish, she felt a sudden tap on her right shoulder.

Her body tensed instinctively, but only for a moment.

She stepped forward, spun around, and delivered a backward kick.

The figure dodged with ease.

“Oops!

That was close!

Sister, you’re so mean!” Sharon froze in surprise.

Her eyes landed on the figure-and she realized it was her brother, Nolan.
