300: The Mysterious Seira 300: The Mysterious Seira Inside his room, Nolan leaned back and relaxed, sipping his morning coffee.

His legs were crossed, and his eyes were closed, as if he were imagining himself resting in nature.

But suddenly… “Guess who I am?” Two soft, fragrant, rubbery things pressed against his neck as a pair of palms covered his eyes.

The corner of Nolan’s mouth twitched as soon as he realized who it was, but he didn’t answer right away.

Instead, he pretended to think.

“I don’t know who you are, but your scent feels familiar,” he said, rubbing his chin.

Behind him, Seira smiled faintly and leaned closer, pressing her chest even tighter against Nolan’s back.

The scent of chamomile filled his nose, making him involuntarily snort a few times.

“You almost guessed right.

Try again,” Seira teased.

“You must be a woman, judging by that… cow-like chest.

As I recall, Elina wasn’t this well-endowed, so you’re definitely not her,” Nolan said with a small chuckle.

Seira’s expression darkened.

She pulled her hands away from his eyes and pinched his cheeks.

“How dare you call your sister a cow!

Nolan Lorian, you’ve gone too far!” she scolded, tugging at his face.

Nolan’s cheeks twisted like dough as he quickly apologized.

“Sorry, Big Sister!

I was just joking!

Please let me go!” “No!

You’ve crossed the line this time!” Seira huffed.

“I’m going to punish you until you lose your composure!” That was the beginning of an older sister’s special punishment for her unruly little brother.

Ten minutes later… Nolan lay on Seira’s lap, his face a complete mess-cheeks flushed, hair disheveled.

He looked up at her with annoyance and grumbled, “Big Sister, you’re really cruel.

If my handsome face ends up ruined like this, how am I supposed to attract women?” He let out a long sigh.

Only in front of his sister and mother was he truly powerless.

If anyone found out about this, he’d die of embarrassment.

Fortunately, it was just the two of them, so he had nothing to worry about.

Seira smiled in satisfaction but feigned concern.

“I’m sorry, dear little brother.

I might’ve gone a bit too far earlier.

Does it still hurt?” She gently rubbed his cheek as if she were truly worried, though the smile on her lips gave her away.

Nolan could only roll his eyes.

When he tried to get up, Seira stopped him, pressing his head back onto her lap.

“Stay like this.

I’ve missed you so much, you know?

Or do you just hate seeing me?” Her gaze sharpened slightly.

Nolan took a deep breath and forced a smile.

“What are you saying?

How could I ever think that?” Seira laughed and nodded in satisfaction.

“Good!

Then stay like this.” She gently stroked Nolan’s black hair, her touch tender and careful.

Nolan didn’t resist-he simply enjoyed the warmth of the moment.

Though he always appeared strong on the outside, there were times when he felt exhausted.

Only in moments like this could he truly relax, free from all worries.

“By the way, have you heard the news about the Red Obsidian Trading House?” Seira asked softly.

She picked up a grape from the table, unintentionally pressing her chest against Nolan’s face.

The sweet fragrance, mixed with the overwhelming softness, made Nolan surrender to his fate-though he certainly didn’t mind it.

“Of course I’ve heard,” Nolan replied calmly.

“That news has already spread across the Empire.” “You’re right,” Seira agreed with a nod.

She plucked a grape from the stem, popped it into Nolan’s mouth, and continued, “What do you think will happen to Belfor Horven?

Will he lose the trial, or somehow win?” The trial was set to begin in two days.

Logically, he should lose.

The scandals he had caused were too severe to be forgiven.

However, things didn’t always go as they should.

One major reason was Concubine Melinda’s involvement in the case.

It wasn’t impossible that she would ask the Emperor to intervene on Belfor’s behalf.

Nolan chewed the grape and said, “Isn’t the outcome obvious?

Belfor Horven will face severe punishment.

No matter how much Concubine Melinda begs, I’m certain Father will do what’s necessary.

Otherwise…” A faint smile tugged at his lips as he added playfully, “His title as the iron-fisted Emperor won’t mean much, will it?” Seira thought over his words and found them reasonable.

Her father’s title of “iron fist” came from his reputation for fairness and firmness in every decision.

If he wanted to protect that image, he would have to be just.

“Do you know who’s behind all this, dear brother?” Seira asked with a faint smile.

“To me, this case feels strange-too sudden and too smooth, as if someone had already set the stage for Belfor to become the scapegoat.” Nolan glanced at her smile and, for some reason, felt she already knew the truth but was pretending otherwise.

Don’t be fooled by Seira’s gentle demeanor-she was sharp, with a mind as deep and unpredictable as a stormy sea.

If she had joined the battle for the throne, Nolan doubted that Cedric, Adalen, Aldric, Cassian, Zarak, or even Elina could have defeated her.

Fortunately, she chose not to.

Otherwise, the battle for the throne would have turned into utter chaos.

Snapping out of his thoughts, Nolan shook his head lightly and replied casually, “I don’t know, Sister.

But if you think about it, it’s only natural.

Belfor has offended plenty of people-it’s about time he faced the consequences.” Seira simply smiled and said nothing more, though a spark of understanding flickered in her eyes.

…

Nighttime… In the southwest of the imperial capital lay a vast area stretching nearly four hundred hectares, encircled by high, sturdy iron walls.

This was Thal’ren Prison-the Empire’s largest.

It held criminals of every kind, from petty thieves to the most dangerous offenders, and was said to be a living nightmare for anyone locked inside.

Given the choice, every inmate would have preferred another prison.

But that was only natural, considering the strict surveillance and the ruthlessness of the wardens.

At this moment, in one of the special cells deep within the prison, a short, plump man sat confined.

He was Belfor Horven-the man who had dominated the public’s attention and incited widespread hatred over the past few days.

With his trial set to begin in two days, his transfer to a high-security holding cell in the capital was inevitable.

Staring into the darkness, Belfor felt anger welling inside him, though in the end, he could only swallow it.

“It’s fine,” he muttered, rubbing his chest.

“I’ll get out soon.

Once I do, I’ll disappear from this Empire for good.” Tomorrow was the day Nolan had promised him.

Though he wasn’t entirely sure the young man would keep his word, Belfor trusted that Nolan was not the type to break a promise.

Lost in thought, he was interrupted by approaching footsteps and the voice of a warden.

“Belfor Horven, you have a visitor.”
