418: 418 418: 418 They two figures landed several meters apart, panting heavily, their energy still flaring wildly.

Roosevelt glared at her and raised his sword again.

“Just go to hell!” he shouted, slashing down with all his might.

Selena screamed and unleashed her charm energy in full force.

The explosion of power from both sides collided, creating a blinding flash that shook the battlefield.

…… Meters away, Hans stood facing a massive demon with a huge belly that looked like a swollen sack of flesh.

Its skin was dark purple, covered in strange runes that pulsed with light.

Its face was grotesque, with sharp teeth and drooling lips, and its eyes gleamed with hunger.

Hans tightened his grip on his weapon.

“Demon of Gluttony,” he said calmly.

“Mind telling me your name?” The demon tilted its head, its voice rumbling like thunder.

“Why do you want to know?” Hans smiled faintly.

“It’s disrespectful to fight an unknown enemy.” “Ohh,” the demon chuckled, licking its lips.

“That’s… pleasing to hear.

My name is Karoga Beelzebubs.” Hans nodded once, lowering his stance as energy began to surge around him.

“Then, Karoga Beelzebubs,” he said quietly, “let’s fight.” With that, Hans moved, and the ground beneath him cracked as he charged straight toward the demon.

The battlefield trembled as Hans and the Demon of Gluttony faced each other again.

The air between them was thick with tension and the stench of corruption.

Dark mist leaked from Karoga Beelzebubs’ swollen body, curling like snakes through the broken stones.

His massive belly rose and fell, rumbling with a deep growl that echoed like thunder.

“You’ve got spirit, human,” Karoga said, his long tongue sliding across his teeth.

“Let’s see how long it lasts when everything you are gets devoured.” Hans adjusted his stance, gripping his sword with both hands.

His armor was cracked and blackened in places, his left shoulder bleeding from the earlier blow.

Yet his eyes burned with unshaken focus.

“Try me,” he said quietly, his voice cold and sharp.

Karoga laughed, the sound like rocks grinding together.

“Then feast begins!” He raised his bloated arms, and the ground cracked open beneath him.

From the fissures, dark hands burst out, each ending in claws dripping with black saliva.

They clawed at the air, shrieking as they lunged toward Hans.

The attack was fast and suffocating, the hands overlapping like a storm of shadows.

Hans moved.

His sword gleamed faintly, tracing silver arcs through the darkness.

He swung in precise motions, cutting down the reaching claws one after another.

The air cracked with every clash.

The cut wind sliced through the demonic mist, opening narrow gaps of light.

“Steel Flow,” Hans whispered, spinning his blade and slashing upward.

A crescent wave of energy erupted from the tip, sweeping across the battlefield.

The ground split open where it passed, and several demonic hands were severed cleanly, disintegrating into ash.

But the victory was short-lived.

The severed hands melted into sludge and crawled back toward Karoga, fusing into his body.

His grin widened, his belly glowing faintly.

“Gluttony’s Renewal,” he murmured.

The ground pulsed.

The air shimmered with a wave of distortion, and suddenly Hans felt his strength drain.

The demon’s power was feeding off the world itself, swallowing vitality and turning it into raw energy.

The color faded from the nearby people, the soil cracked, and the wind itself turned cold and thin.

Hans coughed lightly, his breath visible in the frigid air.

“So that’s your trick.

You eat everything.” “Yes,” Karoga said proudly.

“Life, death, pain, fear.

It all tastes the same to me.” Hans steadied his sword again.

“Then let’s see if you can swallow a blade forged by war.” He moved.

The ground shattered under his feet as he charged.

His body blurred, a faint crimson light trailing behind him.

Karoga swung his arm down, and a torrent of black slime shot forward like a tidal wave.

It roared across the ground, devouring everything it touched even the remains of demons and humans nearby.

Hans leaped into the air, twisting his body mid-flight.

“Crimson Edge!” The sword flashed red as it cut downward, slicing through the black torrent.

The impact exploded, scattering the wave into burning mist.

The shockwave that followed cracked the earth for dozens of meters around.

But before Hans could land, Karoga’s other hand moved.

“Feast of Flesh!” Several’s mouth opened on the demon’s arm and spat out countless small teeth that shot toward Hans like bullets.

Hans crossed his sword in front of him, blocking most of them, but a few tore through his armor and cut into his shoulder.

He landed roughly, blood trickling down his arm.

Karoga laughed, his voice echoing.

“Still standing, commander?

Or are you about to become my next meal?” Hans took a deep breath, his chest rising and falling slowly.

“I’ve fought worse things than you.” His tone was calm, but his gaze burned brighter.

He pointed his sword toward the demon, and the ground beneath his feet began to glow faintly, reacting to his will.

Karoga’s grin faltered for the first time.

The human’s aura thickened, pressing down like an unseen mountain.

The air trembled, and faint sparks began to dance along the edge of Hans’ blade.

“War’s Echo,” Hans muttered, stepping forward.

His figure blurred and multiplied for a heartbeat, leaving behind echoes of his movement as he dashed in.

Karoga swung his arm, and another wave of sludge came crashing, but Hans was already past it, slashing across the demon’s chest.

The cut sent black blood spraying, sizzling as it hit the ground.

Karoga howled, his fury shaking the battlefield.

“You’ll regret that!” “I already regret not finishing you sooner,” Hans replied through clenched teeth, readying his next attack.

The two clashed again, their powers colliding violently.

Crimson against endless darkness.

The ground caved in beneath them, and the shockwaves sent dust and debris swirling into the air.

Neither side showed signs of stopping.

Karoga’s hunger grew stronger, while Hans’ resolve burned fiercer.

The battle raged on, each strike heavier and faster than the last, their roars echoing across the battlefield.
