412: 412 412: 412 The human army slowly and steadily pushed forward, step by step, forcing the demons to retreat.

Blood and snow mixed under their boots as they reclaimed the frozen ground.

The sky hung grey and lifeless, but the soldiers’ hearts burned bright.

After days of fighting, the demon army was finally driven back across the border, retreating to the base of their dark fortress.

The four passages of the northern, eastern, western, and southern routes-were now firmly under human control.

The soldiers could finally move freely across the war-torn lands without fear of ambush.

The camp roared with cheers and laughter as the soldiers celebrated their long-awaited victory.

The morale of the human army was at an all-time high.

However, not everyone shared that joy.

“This isn’t making sense…” Kael muttered quietly, chewing on his lower lip.

His brows furrowed deeply as he stared at the map spread before him.

His hands fingers traced the demon territory lines.

Verion, sitting nearby with his armor half undone, looked up and grumbled, “What doesn’t make sense?

We’re winning splendidly, isn’t it?” Kael didn’t respond.

He rubbed his chin in thought and looked toward Martina, Hans, and Roosevelt, who stood around the table.

“Don’t you think the demons are retreating too easily?” Kael asked finally.

His voice was calm, but there was a clear hint of unease in it.

“I noticed that too,” Roosevelt admitted, crossing his arms.

“Except for the first day, there hasn’t been much strong resistance.

They fight, but not like before.” Martina leaned over the table and nodded slightly.

“Yes.

It doesn’t fit their nature.

The demons don’t retreat out of fear.

Not like this.” Verion scoffed, folding his arms tightly.

“What’s there to think?

These puny demons are just brainless and getting crushed by our strength.” Kael’s sharp glare immediately silenced him.

The air around him grew colder.

“Never mistake demons for fools,” Kael said in a hard tone.

“You’ll regret it when it’s too late.

Not everyone is an idiot like you,Prince Verion.” Verion’s mouth hung open, but no words came out.

He looked away awkwardly while scratching the back of his head.

Hans stepped forward, his face tense.

“Kael is right.

We need to be careful now.

This could be a trap.

The demons don’t fight without a reason.” Kael closed his eyes for a brief moment.

He remembered the battles of the past-the terrifying strength of Roman and his command.

Alongside him were three other leaders, each capable of massive destruction on their own.

They weren’t enemies to underestimate.

Yet, for some reason, none of them had appeared since the start of this war.

‘Was it because we beat them on the first day they had become cautious?’ He felt a chill run down his spine.

“Roman is clever,” Kael said quietly.

“If he’s staying hidden, there’s a reason.

Maybe they’re planning something worse.” Roosevelt frowned.

“Then should we just go for an all-out attack and destroy the fort before they can recover?” Kael thought about it.

He wanted to say yes.

But something inside him screamed no.

His instincts had never betrayed him before.

As they discussed their next move, a sudden silence filled the tent.

The four of them stopped speaking at once.

Kael’s eyes widened slightly.

He turned his head slowly, his body tensing.

“Did you feel that?” Hans asked in a trembling voice.

“Yes,” Martina replied, her face pale.

Her hands were shaking slightly as she reached for her sword.

“But what is this feeling?” Kael’s face darkened.

The air around him grew heavy, almost suffocating.

“It’s the Domain of Wrath…” he said in a grim tone.

The others froze.

The name alone sent chills down their spine.

Kael didn’t waste a second.

He slammed his fist on the table and shouted, “Quickly!

Call for help!

Tell the others to prepare!” …… At the ground, the chaos was already unfolding.

The battlefield was a sea of death.

Human soldiers clashed with demons under the falling snow, their swords slicing through flesh and armor alike.

The ground was painted crimson as the wounded screamed in agony.

Bodies of both sides littered the icy plain.

A soldier swung his spear through a demon’s chest, only to be torn apart by another’s claws.

Another man fell to his knees, holding his bleeding side, gasping for breath as his vision blurred.

The clang of steel and the roar of demons echoed through the mountains.

SWOOSH Then, everything stopped.

A sudden, chilling sensation swept through the battlefield.

Every soldier, both human and demon, froze in place as an unseen force pressed down upon them.

It felt like the air itself had turned solid.

The next moment, an otherworldly aura exploded across the land.

A grave pressure slammed into every living being, crushing their spirits and bones.

Many fell to their knees instantly, unable to move.

SWOOSH!

SWOOOSH!

The wind roared like a living creature.

Their blood boiled inside their veins.

Their minds turned into chaos.

“KYAA!” a soldier screamed, clutching his head.

Another vomited blood, his eyes rolling back.

“What is this…?” “Krgghh…!” “Arghhh!” The weapons held by the soldiers started falling to the ground as men gasped for air.

Their faces twisted in pain as they struggled to breathe.

Even the demons nearby staggered, feeling dizzy and weak.

Everyone looked around in confusion when they saw it-a crimson haze spreading like a flood across the battlefield.

Those touched by that sinister intent began to lose their minds.

“Arghhh!” “Bastard!” “I will kill you!” The soldiers were consumed by rage, their eyes bloodshot as they turned on each other.

The battlefield erupted into chaos as comrades fought among themselves, driven mad by wrath.

The demons tried to resist but couldn’t hold for long.

That was when a deep, cold voice echoed through the storm.

“Step back.” RUMBLE!

RUMBLE!

BOOOOOOM!

A crimson pillar of energy exploded upward, piercing the dark clouds.

The ground split open beneath its force, and the air burned with violent heat.

Inside that crimson glow, a figure appeared-tall, terrifying, and wrapped in flames that burned like fury itself.

His presence alone made hearts pound and blood boil.

He looked almost human but carried an aura that screamed death and destruction.

One glance from him was enough to make even the bravest tremble.

Kael rushed towards the place as his eyes narrowed as he stared at the figure from afar.

Martina, Hans, and Roosevelt followed right behind him.

Their expressions hardened as they felt the suffocating pressure coming from the distant light.

“FUCK…

He unleashed the domain even before the fight started!” Kael shouted, his voice filled with disbelief.

He clenched his fists and screamed, “Quick!

Everyone, release all your aura and strike together!

If we don’t suppress it, the soldiers will lose their minds!” “Yes!” BOOOOM!

The ground shattered under the weight of their combined power.

Roosevelt, Martina, and Hans released their full aura and leapt forward, their energy flaring violently.

Crimson power burst from Kael as the four of them combined their strength.

Their joined pressure crashed against the crimson intent that flooded the battlefield.

The invisible clash tore through the land, sending shockwaves in every direction.

The ground trembled.

Lightning crackled in the sky.

The air screamed under the weight of their power.

“Damn…

He’s holding against the four of us!” Roosevelt shouted through gritted teeth, sweat dripping down his face.

They pushed harder, forcing their aura forward as the crimson energy fought back.

The sky seemed to twist and break apart when suddenly, a loud thud echoed.

Then a figure landed on the ground, his boots cracking the frozen earth.

He looked at the four humans with burning crimson eyes and a twisted grin spreading across his face.

“What a great lineup,” he said with a dark chuckle.

“This Duke of Wrath is delighted to be welcomed by geniuses from the human side.

This is fun…

Hahahahaha!” His laughter sent chills crawling down their spines.

He slowly removed his cap, revealing his sharp features.

His hair was blood-red, his skin pale, and his eyes glowed like molten fire.

His armor was black and crimson, engraved with strange runes that pulsed with rage.

“I am Dominic Satan, called the Duke of Wrath,” he said, his grin widening.

“I hope you liked my greeting.” He pulled out a jagged, crimson sword that hummed with killing intent.

“He’s attacking!” Kael shouted in alarm.

The others barely had time to react.

They drew their weapons in a rush, but in the next instant, everything went silent.

Then, an invisible line tore through the air.

BOOOOOOM!

The world itself split apart.

A massive ravine carved across the land, swallowing everything in its path.

The shockwave destroyed everything it touched.

Everything before the attack, all turned to dust in a blinding flash.

Hans, Roosevelt, and Martina were thrown back, their bodies cut and bloodied as the wave tore through them.
