Chapter 235: Chapter 235 : You better win or Drown
The air in the training chamber was thick with heated desire.
Their initial kiss had erupted into a passionate, consuming frenzy.
They tumbled to the padded floor, a whirlwind of limbs and frantic motion, each demanding more.
Alex found himself on top for a fleeting second, only to be swiftly flipped by Alicia, her movements as competitive as they were passionate.
They wrestled in a joyous, desperate battle for dominance, their lips never separating. Suddenly, Alex’s hands clamped around Alicia’s hips, lifting her with a surge of strength.
Her legs instinctively hooked around his waist, locking him in as he rose to his feet.
He walked backwards, carrying her weight effortlessly, until the cool, solid surface of the wall pressed against her back, trapping her between the immovable stone and his warm, demanding body.
For another minute, the kiss continued, a relentless assault of lips and tongues, until the sheer need for air became unbearable.
Their mouths finally parted with a soft, audible smack, a thin, silvery thread of saliva stretching and breaking between their lips.
Both were breathing heavily, chests rising and falling rapidly. They stared into each other’s eyes, their faces flushed crimson—a mixture of raw desire and sudden, acute embarrassment.
Then, a soft, stifled giggle escaped Alicia. Alex, still reeling from the intensity of the moment, looked at her in confusion. “Why are you laughing?”
A wide, mischievous smile bloomed on her face. “For months I’ve been waiting to see if you would ever take the initiative—to see if you really see me the way I see you. Now, finally, you have taken the initiative.”
She paused, her eyes sparkling. “It’s always supposed to be a lady who tests a man’s patience, but here it was the opposite.” She leaned in, her voice dropping to a teasing whisper. “You’re even worse than a Lady.”
Alex’s face went from flushed with passion to burning with annoyance. He tightened his grip on her hips. “Shut up. I’m not dumb like people of your gender.”
Alicia’s eyebrow gave a faint, irritated twitch, but before she could formulate a retort, Alex continued, his tone softening slightly.
“You already know that I don’t trust people easily. That’s why I always take my time, especially considering relationships.” Alicia nodded, her understanding replacing her pique.
She gave him a ridiculously cute pout. “Well if you put it that way, I guess I can let that slide.” Alex smiled, his gaze full of warmth. Then she grew serious. “I’m the first one, aren’t I?”
Confusion returned to Alex’s face. “First what?” Alicia’s smile grew wide and knowing. “The first one you have ever kissed willingly.”
Understanding dawned on him.
‘I guess things like that are important for girls. And she is right, she is the first girl I have ever kissed willingly.’
The Alarms and the Excuse Alex’s smile returned, a hint of his usual arrogance in his voice. “You should be honoured.”
Knowing exactly how to shut down his pride, Alicia bit down gently, yet firmly, on his neck.
Alex winced, a startled yelp escaping him.
“Hey! We will fall. Don’t forget that I’m carrying you. And believe it or not, it’s no easy as you’re not exactly ligh—” Before he could finish the sentence, Alicia clapped her finger over his lips, her expression suddenly turning serious, almost dreadful.
“What were you about to say?” Beads of sweat instantly formed on Alex’s forehead. ‘I slipped again ? I shouldn’t have said anything!’ He scrambled for a save.
“That you’re so light that it’s so easy to carry.”
He immediately adjusted his grip, pulling her hips even more tightly against his own body. A soft, breathy sound—a small, involuntary moan of pleasure—escaped her mouth as the pressure increased.
“Anh~”
Alicia’s face instantly became beet-red with acute embarrassment. She broke the eye contact and, to distract herself, started fumbling with the buttons of his outer coat.
ALARM BELLS started ringing loudly in Alex’s mind. He immediately set her down, releasing her so suddenly that she stumbled slightly. He took a hasty step away.
“What the hell are you doing, woman? Have some shame!”
His voice was an panicked whisper. “I just took a big step forward today by kissing you!”
Alicia clicked her tongue
” Tch ”
a sound of supreme impatience.
“Stop acting like a little girl.”
A vein pulsed visibly on Alex’s temple. He strode forward, pinning her back against the wall once more. He leaned in close, his voice low and dangerous.
“You asked for this.” A flushed, victorious smile bloomed on Alicia’s face. Alex captured her mouth again, kissing her with a ferocity that demanded submission.
His lips slipped away, moving down her jawline to the tender skin of her neck, where he latched on, delivering a sharp, passionate bite that would surely leave a visible mark—a hickey.
A deep, passionate moan broke from Alicia’s throat, her fingers digging into his shoulders.
“Anh~”
“Stop wait don’t stop”
Alex hand found the edge of her sports wear—the bra she wore beneath her shirt. He shifted his grip, his fingers curling, preparing to pull the material away.
Suddenly, Alex froze. He broke the kiss instantly, his head snapping up, eyes focused intensely on the dark entrance to the training chamber.
Alicia, dazed and flushed, looked up at his rigid, suddenly distant face. “What happened?” she whispered, her voice husky.
“Someone’s coming,”
Alex muttered, his hand dropping from her chest. Alicia’s mouth twitched with annoyance. She pushed against his chest and started kissing him again, her movements desperate. “Stop trying to make excuses!”
“Wait!” Alex insisted, but Alicia was not listening.
But Alex’s tone was serious now. “No, I’m not kidding—”
When suddenly the door to the training chamber burst open.
A tall handsome, brown-haired man stood there, his voice booming through the entire chamber.
“Guess who’s here, darling! Dad has come to give you a surprise visit! I know you’re training hard, but I just couldn’t wai—”
He froze mid-sentence.
Reynard Crestvale, the Duke of the Northern Territories, stared blankly at the scene before him. Alicia—his precious daughter—was in a rather compromising position with Alex Dragonheart.
Their proximity, their flushed faces, the way Alicia’s hand was gripping Alex’s shirt as if she had been mid-motion…
For a moment, Reynard’s entire world seemed to shatter like a glass mirror. His mind went blank, unable to process what he was seeing. He blinked twice, rubbed his eyes, and blinked again.
‘No… no, this can’t be real… my sweet daughter… not her… not with Him!’
Meanwhile, Alicia, realizing what her father was seeing, turned pale. Her lips trembled as her mind went blank from embarrassment.
Alex, still half-leaning forward, sighed. “I told you someone was comi—”
Before he could finish, a fist slammed straight into his face, followed by a sharp kick to his stomach that sent him crashing to the ground.
“Kyaaaaa!” Alicia shrieked, her entire face turning crimson as she tried to hide her embarrassment.
Alex groaned, clutching his stomach. ‘Why is it always me? Even when it’s her fault… it’s always me.’
Alicia quickly erected a shimmering barrier around herself, hiding her form from view. A few seconds later, the barrier dispersed, revealing her in fresh clothes, her hair slightly damp as if she had taken a lightning-fast bath. Her outfit was modest this time—thankfully.
“D-Da—Fa—Father!” she stammered, her voice cracking. “What are you doing here!?”
Reynard, still standing frozen in place, looked as though his soul had left his body. His eyes twitched.
But Alicia’s trembling voice brought him back from his daze. His face turned red—not from embarrassment, but from fury. His sharp, commanding aura exploded outward as he glared at Alex.
“You! How dare yo—”
Before he could finish, Alicia stepped in front of Alex, spreading her arms protectively. Her tone turned firm, steadying her emotions.
“Father, stop. You already know I like him, so quit getting angry at him every single time!” she declared.
Reynard’s mouth fell open. Alicia continued, her face flushed but determined. “I was the one who initiated it, not Alex!”
Behind her, Alex smirked, rubbing his jaw. “Did you hear that, old man? I’m not the one at fault here.”
A vein popped on Reynard’s forehead. His fists clenched so tightly that the air crackled around them. ‘Damn brat! If she weren’t standing there, I’d turn you into a pancake!’
Alex’s smirk only widened, his expression smug.
Alicia sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. “Both of you, enough. At least try to get along for once.”
Reynard snorted. “I will never approve of this brat!”
Alicia exhaled slowly, then her eyes glimmered as an idea struck her.
“Father,” she said sweetly, “what if Alex defeats both Ethan and Alden in the upcoming duel? And if he loses… we’ll never see each other again.”
That instantly caught Reynard’s attention. His mind spun like a well-oiled machine.
‘The condition’s not bad… besides, no one knows yet that Alden has awakened as an avatar of a powerful god. There’s no way that brat could beat two avatars without divine backing.’
His lips curved into a sly grin. “Very well. If that dumb brat defeats both Ethan and Alden, I’ll approve of your relationship.”
‘Perfect,’ he thought. ‘There’s no way he’ll win.’
Alicia smirked internally. ‘Bingo.’
She turned to Alex, her expression shifting from gentle to deadly in seconds. Her aura flared—golden, divine, and terrifyingly intense.
“Did you hear that?” she said, her voice dripping with threat. “No matter what happens, *don’t lose.* Because if you do, your body will be found floating in that river we talked about earlier. But this time, the limbs won’t be attached to the body.”
Alex gulped audibly as sweat trickled down his face. The playful look vanished completely. ‘She’s serious… oh crap, she’s really serious this time.’
Reynard smirked, amused. Alex’s mouth twitched.
Alicia’s voice came again, this time sharper. “Do you understand, Alex Dragonheart?”
Alex instinctively saluted. “Ma’am, yes ma’am!”
Alicia nodded approvingly. “Good. Then what are you waiting for? The duel starts in half an hour. Go!”
Without hesitation, Alex bolted toward the exit like his life depended on it—which, given the circumstances, it probably did.
But just as he reached the door, he paused, glancing back with a mischievous grin.
“Oh, by the way,” he said, “your daughter’s lips are more juicy than strawberries. I almost lost control.”
And then—he ran.
Like. The. Wind.
Alicia’s face turned bright red, steam practically rising from her head. Meanwhile, Reynard’s expression shifted from confusion to unholy rage.
“LET GO OF ME! I’LL BURY THAT BRAT ALIVE!” Reynard roared, trying to storm after Alex.
Alicia held him back desperately, shouting, “F-Father, stop! Or You’ll cause an incident at the academy and the head master will get involved!”
