Chapter 221: I Want to See (M)
Kael’s control was hanging by a single thread.

He could hear it in the air—the unholy sound of Riley’s mouth working over him, the soft suction that made his own breath hitch, the wet heat that pulsed around him with every movement.

To think he’d thought of holding back.

How naive he’d been to assume it’d even be possible when every sound, every swallow kept shredding another layer of restraint.

His fingers trembled where they rested in Riley’s hair. And just stopping his hand felt like a full-time job when his body seemed to have a will of its own, bending to the human as every low hum sent a wave through his spine.

But then it happened.

Between the shallow breaths and the steady rhythm, Kael saw it—Riley’s hand sliding lower. Not to steady himself. Not to please Kael further.

No.

That hand kept moving.

Downward.

Fingers brushing over the thin silk of his pajama pants that were doing a miserable job of hiding what was underneath.

Kael’s breath caught, and if that chair hadn’t been enchanted, it would’ve collapsed on them by now.

“Riley,” he warned, voice rough enough to scrape against air.

But the mortal didn’t stop.

Dazed green eyes looked up to meet Kael’s golden ones. But they weren’t asking for permission.

The same daring little hand slipped between the folds of silk, fingers tracing the shape of his own aching arousal, palm gliding faster until the mortal’s hips gave a small, helpless roll.

The sight was too much for Kael to bear.

A guttural growl escaped his chest, deep and feral, as his hand gripped the back of Riley’s head and his hips bucked forward, driving himself deeper into that warm, sinful mouth.

“Ugh—!”

The primal warning bled into a groan as his mortal moaned in surprise around him.

Heat surged from the base of his spine, fierce and unrelenting. His claws dug into the backrest, this time splintering the wood as his head fell back.

With a strangled curse, the dragon lord’s body seized, pleasure crashing through him like fire. His hand clenched around Riley’s hair, his hips thrust once more, and he spilled hard into the mortal’s mouth, his groan filling the room like the sound of thunder breaking.

But even as Kael tried to pull away, the determined human didn’t allow for it.

Riley tried to swallow, eyes half-lidded, mind blank with heat. The taste hit him—heady, warm, alive—and his body trembled harder, fingers still wrapped around himself, the fabric beneath his palm darkened with his own need.

Kael’s hand trembled where it tangled in Riley’s hair, trying to steady him, but his body refused to obey. His breathing was ragged, his eyes half-lidded, watching helplessly as they both rode out every last pulse.

Riley drew back slowly, lips wet and swollen, a thin string of saliva connecting them for a fleeting second before it broke. His breathing was uneven, chest rising and falling, pupils blown wide as he looked up through his lashes.

Kael could only stare. His body still burned, his blood still thundered, and yet the only thing he could think about was the trembling human kneeling between his legs, his hand still pressed against his own arousal as if caught halfway between guilt and want.

Riley swallowed hard, voice hoarse. “Told you,” he whispered, shy but unrepentant, “boyfriends can do everything else.”

Kael’s breath hitched again. The words sank deep, reckless and true, and something dark and possessive curled inside him all over again.

An idea refused to leave his mind, and therefore had to be dealt with as fast as possible.

To think their breathing hadn’t really evened out yet.

But even so, Kael still looked good as he sat back on what was now a very dented-looking chair while one human knelt before him, flushed and trembling, trying not to look too proud of himself.

Although it would have been better if the very naked golden dragon hadn’t suddenly pouted.

“…Yes. But you didn’t show me.”

“Huh?” Riley blinked, voice dazed and hoarse, his brain not quite back online.

Kael lifted a finger and pointed downward. Straight toward Riley’s lap.

“You didn’t show me.”

“!!!”

Riley’s soul nearly left his body. “What? No, I’m sure you already know that one!”

“That’s different.” Kael’s voice was low, still gravelly from earlier. “You’re different.”

The mortal froze as those golden eyes met his again.

“I want to see it.”

There it was—that tone. That mix of command and quiet yearning that made Riley’s heart betray him.

“Hmp.”

“…”

Ugh. Sure enough, he was really weak to this dragon’s pouting.

And so the human who had just confirmed that he was a healthy male, after being able to recover just by being in the presence of his boyfriend’s once again erect member, started to take off his remaining shield—those dirtied silk pants.

In truth, Riley’s mind screamed.

But just as always, his body didn’t listen.

The air felt too heavy, too warm, as he slid the fabric down, freeing himself completely. Every inch of exposed skin seemed to catch Kael’s gaze, and that was the problem.

Because the golden dragon wasn’t hiding it.

Those golden eyes followed every movement—slow, deliberate, consuming. And Kael watched him like he had every right to.

Riley felt the weight of that look like a touch. It ran down his throat, across his chest, lower still, until his breath hitched. He should’ve turned away. He should’ve felt shy. But he didn’t. He couldn’t.

Not when Kael looked at him like that, drinking in everything he could see.

There was nothing distant or polite about it. It was hungry. Possessive. A quiet claim that said, you’re mine without ever needing the words.

And Riley, trembling but rooted in place, realized that maybe this was why he never stood a chance with him—because every time the dragon looked at him that way, his body remembered who it belonged to.

He told himself he wasn’t an exhibitionist.

Well, at least he hoped he wasn’t.

But when Kael’s gaze burned like both worship and ownership, the poor mortal realized it would’ve been better if he shut up about such things, especially when he’d always been one to curse himself by speaking too early.

Because what do you know—when Riley made the mistake of asking, “So… what did you want to see?”

Kael didn’t hesitate.

“I want to see you touching yourself.”

“!!!”

“What? W-why?” Riley stammered.

“Because I want to know what would make you feel good.”

“Huh? But didn’t I just—”

“…”

“Fine,” Kael said, voice dropping to something darker. “It’s because I need to know what to imagine. So you have to show me.”

Riley’s mouth opened. Then closed.

The silence between them stretched, thick and electric. Kael wasn’t going to budge.

That was clear.

He was decisive. Determined. Dead set.

And that was how Riley, the newly minted exhibitionist, found himself perched on the dragon lord’s enchanted and very ancient work desk as maybe the table’s first human deliverable.

__

It could’ve been awkward.

Should’ve been.

But it wasn’t.

Because when your audience was as eager as this dragon lord whose entire existence was a worthy material, how hard would he be?

‘Could it be!’ He meant, could it be!

Kael sat back in the chair, one arm propped against the rest, his golden eyes locked on Riley like a man starved.

And Riley… was really trying not to die.

He was sitting on the desk, leaning slightly back, one foot resting on Kael’s armrest while the other bent closer, elbow braced against his own knee. It was almost artistic, if art involved nearly dying of embarrassment.

But Kael’s stare burned.

He was staring so hard that Riley couldn’t help it.

Before starting, he leaned forward, caught the dragon’s chin with his trembling fingers, and pressed a quick, breath-stealing kiss against his lips.

Then, pulling back just enough to speak, he murmured softly, “At least blink sometimes.”

Kael’s lips curved faintly, but his eyes never wavered.

And as Riley’s hand finally moved—fingers curling around his own flushed length—he squeezed and started stroking himself slowly and deliberately.

“Mnn…”

He arched his back as he did it—hips rolling forward into his own hand—his legs spreading wider and wider as if inviting Kael to take him right then and there.

The dragon lord didn’t even breathe.

How could he?

Every stroke drew another sharp inhale from Kael, every faint whimper from Riley feeding that fire burning behind those golden eyes.

The silence turned heavy.

The sound of skin and breath filled it.

Riley’s face was burning, his lips parted as his hand moved faster and faster, chasing the edge of release he didn’t want to admit he needed.

His body trembled under the weight of Kael’s gaze, that unblinking hunger fixed on every movement—on the way his wrist twisted, on the soft catch of his breath.

Kael leaned forward slightly, one claw tracing the desk’s edge as if resisting the urge to grab what was clearly being offered to him. His jaw was tight, his voice barely steady when he spoke again.

“Riley,” he breathed. “Look at me.”

The command hit harder than it should have. Riley hesitated only for a heartbeat before obeying, turning his head until their eyes met.

Kael was watching him shamelessly. There was nothing restrained about it—his golden eyes were dark with want, possessive, reverent. It was obscene how openly he looked at him, how the dragon didn’t even try to hide what he felt.

Riley’s breath broke. The moment their gazes locked, his hand stuttered, his body tightening helplessly.

“Yes,” Kael murmured, voice low enough to vibrate in Riley’s chest. “Show me.”

And that was all it took.
