Chapter 304: 304 – Fight or flee, worm.
In total, Feiyan’s pills sold for 55 million crystals of superior Qi, enough to keep the world of the mind running at full power for many years.

Even after fees, 5% national and 2% from the auction house, there was still around 51,150,000 left for Qingyi.

Wealth that, after redeeming, he handed over to Meilin, leaving the auction house and placing her in Ruxue’s world of the mind.

“The bastard with my fragment is moving…” Ruxue’s voice echoed in Qingyi’s mind, who nodded silently, hurrying towards the northern part of the city.

Stopping briefly, he looked back and activated his draconic eyes.

He could see strange movements of Qi, but there didn’t seem to be anyone following him.

Sighing and shaking his head, he moved on, leaving the city walls and heading for the vast forest in the northern region.

On the horizon, he saw a pillar of flame rise briefly.

“This idiot is even using flares… he must be excited to get his ass whooped.” Qingyi smiled, activating the lightning flash.

His body transformed into lightning as he tore through the forest at absurd speed, quickly arriving at a wide clearing where he saw two figures.

Wang Haoran, young master of the Wang family, his hands firmly gripping his long, elegant saber.

Beside him, a shadowy figure, protected by heavy armor and exuding a powerful Qi.

”Early enlightened soul realm…” Qingyi whispered, looking around.

Fortunately, there were only the two of them, but it still wasn’t going to be an easy fight.

“Has you finally shown yourself? Coward!” Haoran roared, showing off the fragment he had bought at the auction. “That’s what you want, isn’t it?”

“For someone who brought help to a one-on-one duel, you really love calling others cowards, don’t you? Just don’t go running off and crying to your daddy.”

Qingyi giggled, the heaven-defying thunder sword sliding out of its sheath with a sharp hiss.

“Come to me, alone or both, I don’t care. But know that I won’t be as pious as my wife, I won’t stop at just turning you into a woman.”

Hearing those words, Haoran’s body shuddered, his eyes filling with rage. “You’re going to die here!”

“Let’s see.” Qingyi swung his sword, his body turning into a blur as he advanced, using the first form of the Tempest Monarch’s sword art.

His blade hit Haoran’s with a thud, the ground beneath his feet cracking for dozens of meters.

“Damn you!” Haoran roared, gritting his teeth, his wind Qi colliding with Qingyi’s wind Qi.

He forced his muscles to the limit, pulling out every drop of Qi and pushing it all towards his opponent.

With the difference in cultivation, how could he not expect an easy victory?

Unfortunately, the difference wasn’t big enough. His feet tore the ground as he was slowly pushed back, Qingyi’s thunderous Qi spreading across his blade and tearing the skin of his hand.

“Fuck!” Haoran finally retreated, unable to bear the pain and falling to his knees.

Obviously, it was incomparable to the pain of having his testicles twisted, but it was still horrible.

“This young man seems to have a strange lineage, should I intervene, Young Master Wang?” The guard asked, bowing gently.

Behind Qingyi’s back, the huge figure of a black dragon watched them coldly. Even the guard felt his cultivation being suppressed, a sense of danger taking over his body.

“No… I’ll defeat him alone!” Haoran punched the ground, advancing towards Qingyi again, his body splitting into dozens of identical images, each covered in wind Qi and pointing their blades at the handsome young man.

“Interesting technique…” Qingyi spoke, using the second and third forms of the Storm Monarch’s sword art in succession, already preparing the fourth, dozens of ethereal thunder blades surrounding his body.

“Your cheap tricks won’t stop my family’s secret technique!” Haoran roared, all the ethereal images advancing towards Qingyi at the same time, attacking from all angles.

Meanwhile, he finally used his law, the temperature around Qingyi quickly reaching thousands of degrees Celsius.

Qingyi could only cover his body with black scales, the ethereal blades surrounding his body also advancing, colliding with the images formed by Haoran.

They remained in that stalemate for long seconds, the ground beneath their feet shaking as Qingyi’s patience ran out.

Haoran was an annoying enemy, not only unable to shut up for a moment, but also hiding among the dozens of images formed by that strange wind technique.

“I think I’ve seen enough.” Qingyi stretched out his hand, also calling for his law.

A small gray flame formed on the tip of his finger, lasting for a brief moment before spreading out in a violent explosion, consuming everything around him.

“FUCK!” A heartbreaking scream echoed as Haoran left the sea of gray flames.

All the Qi outside his body had been consumed, his arm burnt to the bone as the flames continued to rise.

Just before reaching his shoulder, the guard acted, swinging his blade towards Haoran’s arm, cutting it off.

He managed to stop the flames from reaching Haoran’s torso, but not from climbing onto his sword, forcing him to throw it away.

That was a powerful spirit sword that he had gotten as a gift from the captain of the Wang family guard as soon as he reached the enlightened soul realm.

Even so, under Qingyi’s flames, the steel surrounded by protective spiritual matrices immediately melted, soon turning to ash.

“Ugh… fuck, what are you waiting for? Kill that son of a bitch!” Haoran whimpered, grabbing what was left of his arm.

“Yes, young master.” The guard’s eyes took on a deadly hue as he took a step forward, feeling the dragon’s gaze behind Qingyi as he took another sword from his spatial ring.

Now that it was focused on him, he had to admit that that lineage projection was truly frightening, his power suppressed to a fraction of what it was before.

“Young man, hand over your head and the Wang family promises a quick death.” The guard overcame the hesitation in his heart, readying his blade.

“Uh… since when does the Wang family allow insects to make threats in their place? Fight or flee, worm.”
