87: Some Tailoring 87: Some Tailoring Chapter 87 [No name Rank: B- Class: Artifact Type: Defensive, Mana restoration(limited) A type of armor artifact developed by a group of experts to protect its wearers from attacks and it also helps the wearer restore their mana under a set limit.

Additional information: Due to its peculiar form, it is suitable for the female class only.

Men can wear it if they want to.

Effects: Defense: +100 Mana restoration: 22] For a B- artifact, the effects were a bit lackluster if I have to say so myself.

But the main point was its look.

Aesthetically, by my standards, I would have to give this dress a five, or six at best.

But then again, I was considering it by my standards.

By the standards of this world, it would be somewhere around eleven.

I still think something is missing though.

“You have done an amazing job.” I praised the team who stood before me terrified out of their wits.

Well some of them were terrified and mostly they were mages and they weren’t terrified of me but Rose from the looks of it.

It seems leaving Rose to watch over them was a good decision.

Rose may be a little strict but I am sure she knows where to draw the limit and not be excessive.

I turned to Berta and said, “Rose tells me she was satisfied with your performance so I have decided to appoint you as the leader of the smelter team.” Berta nodded and fell on one knee, “It would be my honor, Your Highness.” I nodded and turned to Stephanie who stood there like a frightened duck.

“Although the competition between you and Mister Tanner is tough, after the advice of my attendant, I have decided to appoint you as the leader of the mage team.” She visibly heaved a sigh of relief but realized she hadn’t thanked me so she hurriedly fell on her knees and thanked me in a high-pitched tone, “Congratulations, Your Highness.” [She’s quite nervous] Enough to exchange gratitude with congratulations.

I chuckled while the rest of the people in the room were terrified.

“Sure,” I said with a smile before she panicked even more after realizing her mistake.

“Since there are only two of you now,” I turned to address the tailors, “I will hold on deciding in your case for now.” They both nodded and kneeled without saying anything.

“Now,” I continued and once they were all attentive, added while putting a stack of papers on the table, “Let’s talk about the payment procedure.” I divided the stack into three categories for each professional category and handed it to them personally.

It was a contract.

Since only the mages could read, I asked the head butler to read for the rest.

Still, once they heard the terms of the contract, all of them were dumbstruck.

Even the servants on my side were dumbstruck by the represented terms.

‘Huh!

A primitive era indeed.’ These are actually terms on the low side from where I come from.

A salary of two thousand gold for the tailors, three thousand for the smelters, and four thousand for the mages.

Accommodations and medical insurance were granted by the company.

Only limited to the employee and their direct family such as parents, siblings, wife, and children.

A weekly holiday of their own choice and a vacation of a week or seven days that they can take at once or one by one once every three months.

[Consider the era though] That I can’t refute.

The general income of a well-off family is five hundred gold a month if they are a government official or something equivalent.

I was giving four times of that just to tailors who would at most earn a hundred gold coins a month if they were having a good month.

However, the fact still cannot be ignored that compared to what I will earn, I was underpaying them hence why the additional amenities.

“No need to be shocked.

This is fair for the work you all will be putting in.” I said while they were all still in shock.

“Is there enchanted thread still left?” I asked the mages who were still not over their shock.

There was no reply since they were still in shock but I didn’t have much time so I shouted, “HALLELUJAH!!!” Yeah, the whole villa heard that for sure.

But it did the job and my employees were now out of their shock.

“Is there enchanted thread still left?” I politely asked again to which the tailors nodded and said, “There is still some left worth five dresses.” I nodded and turned to Berta while giving her the eye of recovery and asked, “Can the same procedure be applied to this one like the slime cores?” She took the artifact and examined it greatly.

She then nodded confidently and replied, “It will take some effort but it will be done in an hour at most.” I nodded and said, “Good.

Get to work then.

I need this in an hour.” Berta left with the smelter team and the mages also left with her to preserve the qualities of the artifact while it was being smelted.

As for the tailors, they had nothing to do for now so I asked Rose to take them to the accommodation that I had just mentioned.

I myself just waited.

It wasn’t long before Berta and Stephanie came to give me the good news regarding the success of the smelting of the artifact.

Not only had they successfully persevered the effects of the artifact, but Stephanie and the mages had also succeeded in enchanting it with a defense of higher quality.

It was enough to make seven dresses.

I smiled and went straight to the tailor sections where Skinner and a few smelters had just brought the thread.

Time to make something for the girls.

===== [No name Rank: B+ Class: Artifact, Bounded Type: Defensive, Mana restoration It is a type of armor artifact made by an expert to protect its wearers from attacks and helps the wearer restore their mana once a day.

Additional information: Due to its peculiar form, it is suitable for the female class only.

Men can wear it if they want to.

It is a bounded item that hasn’t been bound yet.

To bind it to the host, blood must be smeared on the crystal in the dress.

Effects: Defense: +300 Charm: +200 Mana restoration: Once a day (Cooldown: 24 hours)] ‘I am calling you Ell-Chantelle.’ As soon as I named the dresses, their name section changed.

I now knew what I was missing.

There was no charm effect on the dress made by the team earlier.

Anyway, for Laura, the dress was designed completely black with the bottom part completely like a frock.

The bustle was a little wider compared to the others to give it a little different image.

The embroidery on the dress was done with blue color to match Laura’s eye color.

For Alicia, the dress was almost the same but of color white, only hers left her shoulders a little exposed.

Her bustle wasn’t so large but it was still enough to meet the standards of a bustle.

Her embroidery was done with gold smelted from gold coins.

It came along with a blusher since Alicia was extra sensitive with revealing her face compared to Laura who used to do it because of her scars.

I made sure to leave her eyes exposed for visual purposes.

However, when it came to Rose, it was quite difficult to make a dress matching her pink hair.

In the case of Laura, a matching dress was made with her hair and eyes, and as for Alicia, contrary to her hair color which suited her quite well.

After a long deliberation, I decided to go with a white and pink combination with gold embroidery.

Her dress’s upper part was pink with a slit between her chest that was strapped by gold laces.

Her abdomen and waist had a combination of white and pink stripes next to each other and sashes made of the same combination flowed from her forearms to her feet.

Her bottom part onward from her torso was white in color and not so wide as a frock.

When she would have to walk down the stairs, she would have to grab her dress from the sides and lift it up to avoid stepping in it.

It was safe to say that most time and deliberation went into Rose’s dress but it turned out to be fantastic.

Now all that was left was for them to wear them.

Rose could wear it right now but the same couldn’t be said for Alicia and Laura.

Their breakthroughs have been going on for a long time now and it was starting to worry me a bit.

But I was hoping that the system’s party system would warn me in some unforeseen circumstances.

Still, these dresses are best given on a festive occasion so I will store them in my inventory for now.

The same would go for the leftover thread that I might need in the future.

[In the future?] ‘Well, the system is forcing me to marry Asmara.’ [And you are forced?] ‘What can I say?

I have to do it for the sake of the stability of the universe.’ [So benevolent] ‘Benevolent indeed.

For the sake of this universe, I’m willing to be seduced by a red-haired, very busty beauty.’ [You’re hopeless] ‘So I have heard.’ “Rose.

Time to kick your training up a notch.” I called Rose as soon as I came out of the tailor’s room.

Right now, Rose doesn’t need to attend classes.

In fact, screw the academy.

Rose is a talent that I won’t let them have any credit for.

Let’s level her up like crazy.

Naturally, of course.

====== In a dark room, the atmosphere currently was very heavy.

It wasn’t so because the people in the room were powerhouses of their respective forces.

No.

It was because of a piece of new information that had recently come to light.

“The laboratory of Hephaestus has been discovered.” A female voice spoke while the rest only listened.

There were seven individuals around a round table, currently addressing various issues that either plagued them or needed their attention.

One such pressing issue was this one.

“And the one to find the inheritance has found it completely?” Another male voice asked, asking whether the artifact had been clear or not.

“It has been completely conquered.” The earlier female voice solemnly replied.

“So the mysterious medicine?” Another female voice asked, pointing at the part that interested them.

“There has been no information of that.

The one to conquer it is said to come out empty-handed.” Another male voice informed.

“So they used them?” The first man asked.

“No one can say but the reports from the empire have revealed that the conqueror has a space ability to store items.

Maybe that is the case.” The first woman added.

“And who is the one who conquered the artifact?” The first man asked.

“The fifth imperial prince of the Cortum empire and the third crown candidate.” The female voice replied.

“Isn’t he said to be a waste?” A calm and serene voice, that hadn’t asked anything before asked.

“The information regarding him is a little peculiar.

He lost his memories and now, it’s as if he is a new person.

Another person some might say.” The first female replied.

“Hmmm…” The first male voice hummed and then asked the first female voice, “How long does your queen have?” “At most a year.” She replied.

“Very well.

We will try two methods.” The first man spoke.

The rest attentively listened.

“First, since the humans don’t know that you and we are allies, you can initiate formal negotiations with them.

There is a chance that they don’t know what the item does so they don’t know of its true value.” The first suggestion was unanimously accepted since it sounded reasonable.

“What of the other method?” The first female asked.

“We will have to push our plans a little forward.” He stated the next plan which the rest weren’t so sure about.

“Don’t worry,” He spoke to placate them before there were any objections.

“We won’t send anyone to reveal our alliance.

My son and one more from another side, you can choose who that will be, will attack them together.

It will seem just like a terrorist attack while we will complete our own objective.” The rest of the people in the room contemplated and nodded since it sounded like a reasonable plan.

“Good.

Now that we agree, let us find out the weaknesses of this prince in the meantime.” The first man spoke.

“There is no need for that.” The first female spoke and slid a crystal on the table which soon displayed the image of a black-haired and blue-eyed girl.
