I hope you enjoy this and continue to support me in the future.
Also, I had asked that if the readers find the content in the previous chapter offensive but since no comments were made about that, I would be leaving it as is.
However, if you want, let me know anytime and I can replace it with another scenario.
That’s it.
Enjoy!
===== Chapter 76 The embarrassing part was giving the potion to this old man.
He looked at me skeptically like he was looking at a scam artist.
I didn’t speak and let Heim do all the talking.
“How about we make sure of the effects by hiring an appraiser?” Heim’s suggestion was accepted and an appraiser was hired even though they are usually very expensive.
To my surprise, the appraiser they hired was someone I was very familiar with.
The appraisal master of the Flame Dragon auction house, Asnor.
When he entered his gait was very arrogant however, when his eyes fell on me, he immediately forgot about the master of the house and came to greet me in a very flattering way.
“What a surprise seeing you here, Your Lordship.
I didn’t know you were familiar with the Pritchett house.” He said while bowing to me.
So the name of this family is Pritchett.
Who cares.
“I am not familiar with them.
I am just here for a business purpose.” I stated my intention.
The others in the room weren’t shocked by Asnor’s behavior.
I’m an imperial prince, if Asnor is aware of that fact, then of course he would be subservient to me.
“Ah is that so?” He said and then his haughty attitude towards them returned.
“What is it that you want me to appraise?” He arrogantly asked.
Heim didn’t mind Asnor’s tone and hurriedly gave him the potion I had given them.
As soon as Asnor’s eyes fell on the potion, he turned to look at me.
I simply nodded and he got back to work.
After a brief flash, he was shocked down to the core.
“This is… This is a treasure!” [Seriously?] ‘You don’t know how big of an issue it is for men.’ [But still…] ‘There is nothing to be estranged about.
That’s a normal reaction.’ [Men are idiots] ‘You won’t hear an argument from me on that.’ “Heim, you must bring it to the auction house.
If this is put up for auction, the entire world will sell their fortunes for it.” Asnor excitedly said.
[…] ‘Fine, I will say it for you, ‘Seriously?’.’ [Make something for women as well] ‘How would I know what women want?’ [You know everything] ‘No, I don’t.
Not when it comes to women.’ [This is ticking me off] ‘Look, we’re here for the weapon.
We will take it and then just go.
No need to get so deeply involved in this.’ “If you confirmed the potion then you also need to check this one.” I interrupted the situation that would soon get out of hand so I needed to get out of here.
“Ah…
Yes, yes.” Asnor hurriedly complied and took the enhanced potion from my hands.
The reaction this time was also pretty much enhanced but before it could again get out of hand, I turned to the old man and said, “This confirms the effects.
This one is for my mistake in the past.” I slid the first potion and then got to the main point, “This one is for the chain around your neck.” I pointed at the chain he was wearing.
The old man didn’t even think twice before he threw me the chain and said, “There you go.
Now leave.” His demeanor was anything but respectful but I didn’t care.
I got what I needed.
Now I just needed to wait.
Either I would get the achievement right away, or when I take the treasure that Eric had obtained from the artifact in the third test which was still quite some time away.
===== Despite Asnor’s attempts at asking me about the potion, I disclosed nothing and left.
But, I still kept the recipe in mind since I might need it.
[Yeah] [You would also get old one day] ‘One, I won’t.’ I replied and continued, ‘And even if I did, I wouldn’t need something like that.’ [Why not?] Allison curiously asked so I replied, ‘I literally have the element of life.
Figure the rest out yourself.’ Anyway, it had been an hour but I still didn’t get any notification regarding an achievement so I guess I would have to wait until I get to the artifact.
I couldn’t take anything else because of the reasons stated earlier and I couldn’t leave Bellator City for a long amount of time to take the less important ones.
So waiting is all I can do.
[But what if it works?] ‘Then I would take almost all of the less important things that Eric would need in the future and compensate him properly.’ And even if I can’t, who cares?
He can die for all I care.
[You don’t know what that would bring] ‘Yeah, about that.
I intend to find out about that soon as well.
Only then will I decide what to do about it.’ Whether Eric is important to me or not, I need to test it properly.
If he isn’t, then there is nothing stopping me from making his life miserable but if he is somehow important to this world, then unfortunately I will have to put him under my protection.
And to check that, I have a perfect plan in mind.
I will though have to wait until the tournament event of the academy to find out.
But since it isn’t so far, the wait isn’t much.
===== I didn’t return to the training room but decided to head to a mountain to train my skills.
I had no time to train myself while making the girls stronger but now that I have time on my hands, I should focus on myself too.
[Skill ‘Heal’ has evolved to the higher stage ‘High Heal’] [Skill ‘Magic bullet’ has evolved to the higher stage ‘Magic cannon’] [Skill ‘Divine shield’ has evolved to the higher stage ‘Celestial guard’] [Skill ‘Bless’ has evolved to the higher stage ‘Sacred Blessing’] [Skill ‘Regeneration’ has evolved to a higher grade] My focus was mostly on the skills regarding the life branch since it took a long time to level them up.
I spent two days on the mountain and when I had leveled up everything, it was already Sunday midnight and it wasn’t far from the Monday dawn.
[Name: Adrian Von Deus Lux LV: 172 [EXP 55,700,000220,000,000] Age: 16 Race: Human HP: 3421750 MP: 01720 STR: 231 AGI: 231 END: 316 PER: 231 INT: 391 CHR: 271 LUCK: 181 SP: 0 SKILLS: High Heal LV: 1 (0100) Celestial guard LV: 1 (0100) Magic cannon LV: 1 (01000) Sacred blessing LV: 1 (0100) Decay LV (intermediate) LV: 1(231000) Shadow verse LV: 2(187200) Regeneration (advanced) LV: 2(12492000) Monarch of Frost LV: Max TITLES: None Achievement(s): 2] I have to say, the improvement was massive.
‘Magic canon’ was a higher form of the magic bullet with this bullet the size of a fist.
It was a bummer that the price was now 5 MP per usage, but the attack power was significantly greater than even 20 magic bullets combined.
And I could still use the Magic bullet at the cost of 1 MP.
As for the ‘Celestial guard’, it used 50 points of MP to use now.
Still, the improvement was quite good.
I would have to check it properly but I guess I don’t have to worry about attacks even from B ranks.
It now even had a duration of 5 minutes.
High heal was just a superior form of heal and it now healed in tandem to MP used.
Each MP would heal me 10 HP, which means I won’t have to worry about my health anymore.
As for ‘Scared blessing’, it increased my stats by a whopping 30 percent now for the cost of 100 MP.
But I think that this is it for this skill and it won’t evolve any further while the rest of the skills could.
I would still level it up though.
It was a pity I couldn’t evolve regeneration but I was now dead tired and in desperate need of a bath so I chose to end the training and head back to the villa of the Lux family.
I wonder how the girls are doing.
[Your party member Rose is now level 230] It seems Rose leveled up from all the training.
She would soon reach her breakthrough point.
Although the stat requirement has changed, the level requirement is still the same.
This means at 250, Rose would enter the A rank.
Since there was no notification for the other two, I assumed they were still going through their breakthrough.
I was tempted to visit the Kobold dungeon, the other C rank dungeon in the city during my practice to increase my level but I decided to focus on just one aspect.
I will properly focus on leveling up next week.
I need to reach level 200 soon anyway.
It would be difficult however because my earlier stroke of luck with the overflowing number of slimes won’t happen for about a year.
As for the kobolds, I doubt there would be more than a hundred in the entire dungeon so it would be a while before I level up to 200.
As soon as I reached the villa, the servants approached me to greet me but they were curious about my appearance at the moment.
I chose to ignore them and went straight to my room.
After a very long bath and a change of clothes, I went straight to the kitchen and asked the chefs to prepare something for me.
It was almost morning so they were busy preparing breakfast for the rest of the family.
I took a few dishes and filled my stomach with them.
As far as my palate was concerned, the dishes served here were all just so-so.
Done with everything and with a lot of time on my hands, I left for the Academy to check up on Rose.
The earlier notification indicated she hadn’t slept.
Opening the door to my training room, I found Laura and Alicia still sitting cross-legged, busy with their breakthrough.
Michelle said that it hadn’t been decided what to do about them so they were still on hold.
As for Rose, just as I had expected, she was still sitting in the array, focused on the current while enduring the pain that comes along with it.
Impressive I have to say.
This girl went straight for two nights in a row without a break.
The mana crystals and cores I had left her were all out so this was her last round.
Since there was still some time, I decided to wait until she ran out.
I also wanted to check her progress.
After a few minutes, the mana finally ran out and the array stopped, Rose opened her eyes and turned to the pile of the mana crystals only to see she had run out.
“How about you rest for now?” I spoke while she was contemplating her next step.
Hearing my voice, she was startled and hurriedly stood up only to stumble and almost fall before I caught her.
“Take today off.
You’re tired.” I said without listening to what she had to say and pressed her vessels that not only made her feel better but also passed out.
I bought a few blankets and a mattress from the shop and placed Rose on them after setting them.
One glance at the girls and I was sure of their progress.
I couldn’t tell how close they were to the end of their breakthrough, but it shouldn’t be long now since it had been almost a week.
I left the girls and headed to the class.
I had never been to a class this early before.
I still had an hour on the clock.
I opened the door and it turned out that even though I was quite early, I wasn’t the first one to be in the class.
There was one more student who was sleeping on her desk.
Her blue hair was sprawled around her and some were even on the floor.
Her pale frosty skin created a different symphony under the rays of the sunlight and her face seemed very calm, and her small breaths signifying her peaceful sleep.
Layla Evergreen.
The true frost queen only her actions were far from that.
I didn’t have any interaction with her before.
I didn’t have any with the entire main cast except for Sophien so I didn’t know much about them aside from the novel.
When I closed the sliding door, she hurriedly stood up while her expression was still sleepy and said loudly, “Who’s there?!” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Bad_Wolf_7811 Have some idea about my story?
Comment it and let me know.
