483: Do Not Read 483: Do Not Read Chapter 443 Bam!

Bam!

Zap!

Shaa!!!

In the sky, lightning flashed as it fell on one particular person who managed to dodge it or block it, but the result was not going anywhere.

‘I’ll run out of mana at this rate.’ Karl thought as he reinforced his spells and blinked closer to Wei Jun to deliver damage very closely so Wei Jun would have a hard time dodging.

Wei Jun managed to follow Karl’s movements but it was still too much to dodge a direct strike from lightning though the attack damage was not much more than an electrical shock.

But it did what it was supposed to do.

Neutralize Wei Jun for a moment.

“Kugh!” Wei Jun grunted as he was engulfed in fire and other attributes from the attacks of the mages from the castle.

As much as Natasha and Mark Wilson were distracting them, they were still only two and the number of mages in the castle was in hundreds if not outright in the thousand count.

“This is damn annoying.” Wei Jun said as he threw a bout of death spears at the castle, hoping to stop the onslaught of spells for a moment but it was for naught as their were many mages who could cast shield spells and as long as his attention was basically split between the academy and the headmaster, he wouldn’t be able to achieve his full firepower.

No matter how hard Wei Jun tried, it was still very difficult for Wei Jun to be able to deal with both enemies at the same time.

And the bad news was…

‘It’s decreasing.’ He didn’t know the situation of the battle going on far away but he could feel Morial’s presence decreasing as time went by.

Although Morial wasn’t a typical party member and he wasn’t bound by penalties since he was basically a slave, he was still a party member so Wei Jun could tell what was happening to him, especially his emotions.

He could feel his turmoil and desperation.

He was in a deep pinch and Wei Jun knew he wouldn’t last for a long time.

He needed to finish here much faster if he wanted to keep Morial alive.

All said and done, regardless of his status, Morial was a valuable asset Wei Jun couldn’t afford to lose.

He hadn’t absorbed the green dragon’s power fully yet so he was still weak but he had potential to surpass a ninth grade cultivator.

But finishing things there was easier said than done.

There were too many variables to deal with.

Mages were a bad match for Wei Jun as well.

‘With him gone, there’s no one to ask either.’ Wei Jun thought inwardly.

With the overseer no longer connected to the system, Wei Jun couldn’t receive his guidance anymore.

Si Jie was not only a cultivator but a powerful mage as well so he knew best how to deal with mages but Wei Jun never needed such information before this day.

The last time he faced a mage, he was too weak to act on his techniques to deal with mages so he ignored them and then the topic was just forgotten in his chaotic life.

No matter how hard Wei Jun tired, there was no opening either nor was there any indication of the fight ending any sooner.

Not at least until the incomplete draconian would be done in which case it would be very difficult to carry out the operation and there was a great chance Wei Jun would have to flee.

But fleeing was the last resort.

An entirely last resort that couldn’t be used unless he was at the death’s door.

If he thought he could somehow win even while losing all his limbs, he would do so.

‘So, let’s just use bait.’ Wei Jun decided inwardly as he raised his hand and a plethora of death spears fell on the castle but it once again allowed the headmaster to strike him with a spell.

[Sword of the Mountain King] [Effect(s): #1: Return damage +10% #2 Damage reduction +10% #3: Armor penetration +20% #4: Lifesteal +10% #5: Base User attack +20%] A sword appeared in his hands and without caring for the strike coming from the headmaster, he swung it at the castle while the residents of the castle were busy defensing against the death spears falling like rain on them.

The death Qi enveloped the sword and a sword slash of the death Qi fell on the castle walls, reaping the lives of some of the mages.

The mages to die weren’t much but they still activated the sword’s features.

The attack from the headmaster did the same and then added factors all combined to create a that no one would have expected.

“Kugh!” “Argh!” “GAAH–!!!” Three different types of grunts, well…

The last one was a scream.

Yeah, a scream.

The headmaster’s attack fell on Wei Jun, frying his insides and the intensity of the attack was somehow higher than those before so perhaps that was why it hurt that much.

But the damage reduction effect took hold and he was able to bear the attack without flying away like last times.

Not to mention, the added factor of the life steal that took the health of those mages he had killed, he barely incurred any loss.

Though he did feel a lot of pain so he wasn’t entirely safe.

The headmaster took damage unexpectedly because of the damage return function.

Since Wei Jun had given a clear window unlike his earlier moves where his defense was very tight, the headmaster hadn’t held back and delivered a strike with his full power.

That ended up in his disadvantage as the damage that returned from Wei Jun was only ten percent of his own attack but to a mage like him, such a damage wasn’t anything to scoff at.

Wei Jun grinned and jumped at the headmaster while trying to bear his pain.

Unfortunately, the headmaster was prepared for such situation and casting a blink spells, he ended up between the high ranking mages at the inner castle’s walls while the others began to rain down spells on Wei Jun.

‘This is a bit tougher than I thought.’ Wei Jun remarked as he shielded his face from the spells that fell on him.

At most they only managed to take away a hundred of his HP and as long as the sword was in his hand, the return damage and the damage reduction effects were still in hold.

The problem was that there were hundreds of attacks and only one attack, at random, activated the return damage function at once.

So if there were ten spells falling at him at the same time, only one would activate the skill while the other nine would remain unscathed so if there were hundreds of them, the attack damage on Wei Jun just increased that much.

Slash!

Slash!

Slash!

Still, he wasn’t just blocking his face and defensing, when window opened, he would also emit slashes from his sword, mimicking sword movements from Xing Xiaomei.

He wasn’t at her level when it came to incorporating Qi in his sword movements, but if it was simple slashing, then even he was confident in doing such an easy thing.

And it was working as well.

With each slash, at least two to three mages fell, replenishing his health ever so slightly.

But…

‘It’s not enough.’ At that rate, the battle would go for a day.

The mages were switching those who had run out of mana to the back while those who had recuperated would take their places in attacking Wei Jun.

All day was something he didn’t have.

An attack.

A decisive attack.

An attack that couldn’t be blocked.

If he were to activate all his backup cards, it was possible to do it, but then he would be incapable of fighting the incomplete draconian.

That wasn’t something he was willing to afford.

But what?

What should be the shape of the attack?

What could it be that could engulf everything and destroy everyone?

What could it be that couldn’t be blocked no matter who tried it?

His mind flashed.

There was an attack.

An attack he had felt with not only his body but his soul as well, as he was burned down to his skeleton, his organs, and even his soul felt the overwhelming heat coming from that attack.

“An attack that engulfs everything.” Wei Jun muttered before he retreated.

All movements suddenly stopped.

From both sides, no one attacked anymore.

Everyone was on guard.

Especially the ones on the opposite side.

They were hesitant.

Stopping the attacks meant giving him the opportunity to come up with something terrifying but the risk was double edged.

If he did come up with something terrifying and they were too exhausted to stop it because they were tired frm attacking, when then?

The answer was simple.

Defense took priority.

As long as they managed to hold on, the great ancestor would come.

They just had to hold on until he came to their rescue.

Until then, they kept their eyes on the black haired man who stood in the distance far away but enough to remain in sight with his eyes closed and a calm rhythm of breath.

And then…

Fear gripped everyone’s hearts.
