391: Do Not Read 391: Do Not Read Chapter 339 Wei Jun arrived at the military base and was welcomed by the General Ming and the first thing she said was, “It seems you don’t intend to honor our agreement.” “I’m here, aren’t I?” Wei Jun asked.

“You mean to tell me you will clear so many dungeons in such a short time?” General Ming asked.

Wei Jun nodded and said, “Lead the way.” General Ming remained silent and although skeptical, she took the lead and brought Wei Jun to another area where there were two dungeon gates, not one.

There were also two teams getting ready to enter but once General Ming arrived, they stopped what they were doing and gave her a firm salute.

They also noticed Wei Jun but made no note of him.

He was simply with the general but that didn’t mean he deserved attention and respect of any level.

“This is mercenary R.

He will be taking charge of the dungeon B.

You are to divert your focus on dungeon A.” General Ming, without even returning their salute, gave an order that required no argument.

She may have been a potential enemy, but Wei Jun couldn’t help but admit that she possessed natural leadership that demanded respect from her subordinates.

“Yes, ma’am!” They all shouted in unison, acknowledging her command.

Wei Jun didn’t interfere with any of it and let things play out.

As long as his contract conditions were fulfilled, it wasn’t his place to meddle.

He wouldn’t want anyone ordering his subordinates as well.

In about ten minutes, both teams were ready.

At General Ming’s command, four people were to accompany Wei Jun while the rest of the soldiers of that company were added to the other team that was raiding the dungeon A.

Wei Jun didn’t ask whether they were ready or not because he had a strong feeling they wouldn’t answer him since he could sense strong dislike from them.

He wasn’t there to make friends so he didn’t bother to even try.

As he appeared on the other side of the dungeon, an intense stench that even boggled him for a good three seconds assaulted him, forcing him to place his hand on his nose.

However, he couldn’t stop the intense stench from flowing in.

“Hahaha,” He heard laughter from the people behind him but he didn’t understand why they were laughing until he heard one of them, a woman, say, “What kind of a cultivator can’t purify what they take in?

Isn’t it most of the basic things?” “Yeah,” Another woman agreed while the two men remained silent on their remarks.

[Simply empower your nasal tunnel with Qi] [It will purify everything that enters your body] [It is done at a small scale on its own] [But for big scales like this] [You’ll have to do it as well] Wei Jun thanked the system internally and did exactly as it said.

It was a little uncomfortable and he didn’t get right the first time.

But the second time was better and at the third time, he had perfectly managed to do so.

He sighed and without minding the earlier laughter, simply relished the fact that the terrible stench which he could still somehow sense was no longer assaulting him as badly as before.

He turned to the four and was about to speak when the woman who had laughed and remarked on Wei Jun’s lack of Qi knowledge raised her hand and said, “Look, buddy.

I don’t care who you are and what kind of special relationship you have with General Ming.

But we don’t intend to follow you.

The order was to accompany you inside.

As far as I can tell, we’ve done that, we’re inside.

What we do from here depends on us.” “…” Wei Jun remained silent.

He looked at the woman for a few seconds before he nodded and said, “Suit yourselves.” “Good.

At least you’re understanding.” The female soldier, who seemed like the leader of the group replied before she said, “I don’t care where you go or if you just remain here, but when we kill the dungeon boss, we’re not waiting for you.” Wei Jun once again nodded and turned to the left, letting the soldiers pass.

But before they could disappear from sight, he said, “I hope this goes without saying, but the same applies to you as well.” “…” It was the woman’s turn to remain silent but Wei Jun didn’t wait for her to say anything.

The soldiers were heading south of the dungeon but Wei Jun, who had the element of death and strong senses, sensed a powerful mass of miasma from the west so he disappeared into the forest.

It was a swamp-type dungeon but Wei Jun couldn’t tell what kind of monsters there were.

All he knew was that they were extremely smelly and that alone was enough for him to want to massacre them.

And, his wish was granted sooner than he expected.

He couldn’t have traveled a kilometer into the forest when something attacked him from his left.

It was a concealed ambush but with his stats, it was impossible.

Not to mention ever since he could sense miasma, he could tell where the monsters were.

Wei Jun dodged what seemed to be a spear and grabbed it once it was past his face.

The creature who held the spear tried to withdraw the spear but… “Kiek?!” It wouldn’t budge.

Wei Jun kept a firm hold on it and even pulled it toward himself, pulling the creature along with him.

Wei Jun grabbed the creature that was at least six feet high, scaly, and incredibly ugly.

[A lizard man, huh?] Wei Jun didn’t wait for specifications.

Since every being could die if their neck was snapped, he wasted no time in trying if his hypothesis stood correct in the case of monsters as well and he wasn’t surprised to find out it was.

[You have slain a creature of the underworld] [You have obtained leather hide x3] [You have obtained lizard man eyes (pair)] [You have obtained lizard man teeth x46] [You have obtained a miasma crystal (B)] [Your Death Qi has increased by 1] Pleasant surprise one after the other.

Not only did he obtain a lot of things from a single monster, but he also obtained a miasma crystal of a rank he had never had before.

He was tempted to try it out but he didn’t need it.

It was better to save it for someone else.

However, that surprise was nothing compared to the Death Qi increment.

Even when he killed the cult masters, he didn’t obtain much Death Qi from them yet one kill and his Death Qi already increased by one.

He couldn’t wait to see what other surprises this dungeon had for him and as if the universe was finally on his side and didn’t want to disappoint him, he sensed three more presences heading in his direction at an immense speed.

Two of them were similar to the one he had just killed but one of them was different.

Not so much different, but he just couldn’t tell by just sensing them.

He could simply tell the third presence was different.

Like a superior or something.

All he could do was wait for them to appear.

While he waited, he also stored the lizard man’s body in his inventory.

It was incredibly filthy, granted, but it was still worth a lot of money.

He was sure Yue Peng would be able to make some use of it.

As he waited, the distance between him and the arriving monsters became closer.

However, before they could appear, something else was thrown his way.

A mass of air.

His senses reached their maximum as he had a hard time sensing whatever it was and as he managed to barely dodge it, he couldn’t help but turn his head to where the sense mass of air had struck.

Boom!

The tree shattered from the middle and the trees behind it were severely dented.

However, that wasn’t all.

His senses picked up another one, and then another one, and then another.

“What the…” He flipped using Qi discharge and then moved to the side but even he couldn’t dodge all of them.

He was hit by the third one and before he could even take damage, another one, the fourth one, which he had failed to pick up, struck him as well and he realized, whoever he was facing was an intelligent being because… [HP -4] [HP -23] The first three strikes were to restrict his movements.

It wasn’t that he could pick them up, the enemy wanted him to pick them up.

As he did, he had no choice but to avoid them and that ended up restricting his movements.

He couldn’t dodge all three of them and was struck by the third one but that barely did any damage.  But before he could relieved by that fact, the real strike struck him dead on and he was blown away with air knocked out of him.
