With a downcast expression, I sat in the jeep which was making its way through a city that was thoroughly destroyed but it didn’t look like it was destroyed by zombies but by guns.

And it didn’t seem one-sided.

These were the signs of a proper gunfight with proper explosives in the fold.

Whatever it was, there was more than a zombie apocalypse going on around.

I turned to the tense driver and asked, “Where are we going?” He was trembling and for some reason, he didn’t even make the effort to look at me.

He was instead doing his best to not engage with me in any way.

I understand.

He must be afraid of falling for me.

Still, I needed an answer so I asked again, this time a little gently, “Hey.

All we know is that they appeared one day and began to take over humanity.” The man replied.

We simply cease to exist.” At his words, everyone in the jeep trembled.

From the words of the man, it was clear that there was something deeper to his words but until or unless I saw it with my own eyes, understanding his words might not be that simple.

In a short while, we arrived at the camp.

It wasn’t any different as shown in the movies.
