328: Another deal 328: Another deal Chapter 328 No, it was not my neck that cracked.

It was the metal cup in Tae Yong’s hand that broke.

Crushed, crumbled into many pieces.

I simply looked at that before I turned my gaze to her.

While it was scary, it was nothing to be worried about.

Geum Ha already knew her secret and was using it against her.

I didn’t know why she couldn’t kill him, but whatever it was, she couldn’t openly call it out because doing so would risk revealing the information.

The cusp of the issue was that I wasn’t the only one who knew this information but even if I did, in the end, I was an outsider.

She didn’t need a special condition to kill me.

But to kill Geum Ha, she’d need to explain well which would also expose her secret.

So among the two of us, I was the best bet in every way.

She took a long breath before she gazed deep into my eyes, her intent to rip me apart couldn’t be more clearer.

“I can only hope you wouldn’t make me regret trusting you.” Tae Yong said.

I smirked which simply relayed my stance on the matter, “I have nothing against you.

I gain nothing from making you an enemy.” But I did stand to gain a lot from being on her side.

Such as a chance to put my personal opinion on the table of the court that would be held tomorrow.

Tomorrow or whenever.

She nodded and said, “That is true.

Then, what do you plan to do?” She was getting straight to the point.

Someone was in a hurry.

I guess Xin Tae Yong wasn’t just in some simple trouble.

There must be something else to the story but that would only be revealed once I involved myself in it.

“I need some time.

Some time with you.” I simply replied.

Not just like this, but publicly.

I needed others to know that I was with the heavenly demon.

And those who were with me were also accountable.

She looked into my eyes for a while before she nodded and said, “I can arrange that.

What should it be about though?” Well, a man and a woman can’t just stay in a room for a long time, alone, and without a reason.

So the simplest reason would be… “I refuse!!!” Rose, the one who showed the least of her emotions was yelling around the room.

It wasn’t just her, Alicia was also looking at me suspiciously while Sophien was just silent.

Asmara and Sasha showed no reaction though which I couldn’t really pinpoint.

As for Laura, well, she was always the special one among all of them.

“If you change your plan,” Laura whispered seductively in my ear, “I will let you do any~~thing to me.” Followed by a blow of air in my ear, she was definitely trying to tempt me.

Well, she was mashing into me from behind so that sensation was very compelling as well.

However, there would be plenty of time for that.

For now, I needed to do what was necessary.

I shouldn’t lose sight of my mission just because the offers I was getting were irresistible.

[Tell me] [How much of your willpower did it take to say that?] ‘I’m stabbing my thigh, aren’t I?’ But what I said was the truth.

Nothing came before the mission.

Even a fun time.

And while it was very tempting to give in to Laura, I needed us all to go home as well.

Well, their home, not mine.

That was also why I couldn’t tell them the plan.

Since nothing came before the mission, I needed to make sure everything was perfect.

Fool your friends to fool your enemies.

It was the perfect phrase to relay what I was about to do.

If they knew what would really go down, then there was a chance one of them might slip up.

After all, no matter how good they were, they were still children who hadn’t really experienced the cruelty of the world yet.

“No,” I replied before I stood up, leaving a shocked Laura on the floor as I turned to the others and said, “Nothing is certain.

She just proposed.

There’s nothing conclusive.” The ruse was simple.

The heavenly demon proposed that I marry her sister.

Now in the upper circle, proposals weren’t a matter of love but a matter of benefits.

A business deal, if put simply.

And as everyone knew, it was a universal rule to negotiate a business deal.

The heavenly demon and I would be negotiating in a room.

There would be no interference from anyone and no one would be allowed to enter until the negotiation were underway.

~~ There was a problem with our plan and that was the trial that was to be held on the next day.

The heavenly demon had to be the one to pay this time.

The request was accepted by both the imperial family and the Murim alliance.

While the imperial family didn’t ask for anything, the Murim alliance asked for the gold they had given to the Cheonma to be returned which Tae Yong did without a second thought.

Nothing was more important to her than her daughter so she didn’t really care if she didn’t get the gold.

As long as her objective was completed, she was even willing to give up her own wealth.

So tomorrow would be the day our negotiations would be held.

But before that, there was something else I needed to do.

My other plan that I concocted with the Yin Empress some days ago.

However, there was another problem with that too.

If I kill the fatso now and kill Grum Ha in the morning, the news of the fatso’s death would disrupt my plans for Geum Ha.

However, if I didn’t and delay killing the fatso and kill them both in the morning, then it would be a clear point that the heavenly demon sect might have something to do with it.

After all, they were the ones who asked for an extension.

It was a clear-cut point and it could be easily used.

To prevent that from happening, I needed to hide the body of the fatso.

But if I do that, the Murim alliance would raise an issue out of that as well.

There was also an option of killing Geum Ha along with the fatso tonight but people needed to see him alive in the morning before the negotiation between me and the heavenly demon to create a perfect alibi.

While it wasn’t the best scenario at the moment, I was racking my brains to do something about it.

And the solution I came up with was one that was incredibly tricky but if it worked, it would be amazing.

Not just amazing, it would be the best-case scenario even.

The demonic sect would be the last to be doubted.

‘The best kind of kill is one that is done in the presence of the witness yet the witness cannot see you.’ Something my father used to say.

He acted like a brute but each and every move of his was well thought.

He also taught me to deal with situations like these.

Situations in which I could be implicated.

But, I was the one who perfected this method because I was the one with a power that no one else had.

The power of the old school magic.

Sacrifice magic, that would be a little tricky to hide but I didn’t worry about it.

After all, I had an entire night to make it undetectable.

~~ “I cannot express how honored I am to receive Lady Jang’s invite.” A fat man followed an ethereal beauty whose expression was as cold as ice.

It was an insult to her beauty to be seen with such a fat and disgusting man.

Yet, the girl didn’t even flinch in the slightest.

She didn’t care what the fat man was doing and she even didn’t do anything about the blatant ogling of the fat man that was directed to her backside.

‘The thousand year old ginseng.’ It wasn’t that she didn’t care.

She cared but she kept on chanting the words with the image of the magical herb in her head over and over again.

She couldn’t even hate the fat man who made that possible.

She was actually thanking him.

Once they were alone, she turned to him and asked, “Are you certain no one knows of our meeting?

I cannot have my honor besmirched.” The fat man nodded, his gaze set on her chest as he nodded frantically as if in a daze and replied, “Yes, yes.

I didn’t tell anyone.” “Good,” The girl replied before she stepped a little away and said, “Come with me, lord Shiu.

I will give you an experience you’ve never felt before.” Hopes raised, the fatso hurriedly followed the girl as if his patience had run out.

“What…What will you show me?” He hopefully asked when the girl stopped.

The girl smiled but didn’t speak.

However, words were still heard, “An experience never felt before.” The fatso hurriedly turned only to be faced with a handsome young man.

The young man grabbed the fatso’s head and said, “After all, death can only be experienced once.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Bad_Wolf_7811 Creation is hard, cheer me up!
