319: Blood bond II 319: Blood bond II Chapter 319 Cold hard betrayal.

If I collected a dollar every time that happened to me, I would have saved enough to buy a planet and no, I was not exaggerating.

That’s just how many times I was betrayed.

So, I took precautions.

Honor was a good thing and believing your fellow humans was a trait of a bigger person.

Unfortunately, I was neither.

I didn’t have a shred of honor when it came to people and I was the pettiest person present in this big wide world.

I was only talking about this one or Isis because, in the real world, I was probably only second.

[Second to your dad] ‘Of fu**ing course!’ “That’s a good play,” I replied, playing along with the amateur plan of the Yin Empress.

It was true that I wasn’t strong enough to stop her unless I were to use the skill ‘Archangel’ which would be devastating for this world.

But putting that aside, I didn’t need to worry about it as well.

“But there’s just one thing that you’ve missed,” I said, before I whispered, “You didn’t need to ingest my blood.” “What?” She asked, obviously confused.

I smirk and without a warning, stabbed myself in the thigh after I quickly equipped a knife from the inventory.

“Ah!” She yelped.

A stab in the thigh and that’s all she did, yelped.

Showed how high her pain tolerance was.

She, confused, looked down and saw her thigh bleeding.

She was smart enough to put the pieces together and as soon as she did, she turned to me but I quickly stabbed myself in my lung.

“Gahh!!” This time, the pain was a bit too much for her.

I mean, lungs were quite important to breathe after all.

“In simplest of words,” I began, unfazed even after stabbing my own thigh and lung.

Well, that was because I was already healed thanks to my superhuman endurance.

“The blood bond.” That was correct.

The bond of blood.

Binding two bodies through blood.

Now in some cases, the person with whom the blood bond was being created becomes loyal to you but not only that, they share your feelings as well.

Your anger makes them angry, your love makes them love, your hate makes them hate, your sadness becomes their sadness, and your happiness becomes their happiness.

Now usually, it was a great thing but for a guy like me, and I repeat, a guy like me, wouldn’t really want men to feel emotions of that high range for me.

Or bit*hes like these so to remedy that, I tweaked the formula a bit.

Instead of making them a partner for life, I made them a slave for life.

The hatred, in some cases, remained but they were bound to me forever.

In the case of Derrell, he was the happy slave.

A slave that I bought him to save him.

While this one, well, she was the slave that was planning to take over the moment she was freed.

So of course I was going to take precautions against that.

She would hate me for that, and I didn’t care in the least, but she wouldn’t be able to defy me, ever.

While it would have been funnier to make her kneel and lick her own feet which, now that I say it, sounds a bit hot, I decided to make her realize via pain.

The funny thing about blood bond was that while I would heal from injuries, my bonded individual wouldn’t.

Of course, I have to want to hurt them, otherwise, Derrell would have been meat-paste by now.

[Sounds weird, this blood bond] Believe it or not, it was actually a marriage ceremony between two people.

[I don’t] Well, it was the perfect way to marry someone.

Be connected emotionally, not just physically.

I say that was the perfect marriage.

Or the weirdest one, from another normal perspective.

“You… coward,” The Yin Empress said while she clutched her stomach.

The rest of her disciples moved in but I simply stabbed myself in my kidney, making the Yin Empress gasp in pain as well.

“Seriously, you were about to stab me in the back figuratively but I do it literally and you call me a coward for that.

Have some shame.” Like I said, they had honor in abundance, just not when it was against them.

[Technically, you didn’t stab her in the back] ‘Good point.’ I replied before I quickly stabbed myself in the back.

“Ahhh!!!” Her back perched, she screamed in pain and clutched her back.

[Not what I meant] [Breath of Life] I healed myself and the Yin Empress once she was well familiar with the pain.

Once she knew her place well, I allowed her a little reprieve and healed her as well.

I took the ‘Snow Storm’ as well, of course.

It was the entire reason I was here.

Well, not the entire.

But the most part of it.

The other part was… “What?!” The Yin Empress loudly yelled as she stood up, her eyes looking at me like looking at a lunatic.

“What?

It’s an easy peasy lemon squeezy task for you.” I replied.

“Assassinating the son of the leader of the Murim Alliance isn’t something that could be so nonchalantly said.” She said, her tone as cold as ice which relayed how much she disapproved of my idea.

Seriously, I mean, couldn’t she just wing it?

“Fine.

Don’t do it yourself.

I will do it.” I replied before I added, “You just have to get me inside.” “And how do you expect me to do that?” The Yin Empress asked.

“If you have to ask me that, then you’re an idiot,” I said before my gaze went straight to her gigantic, plump-looking, temp- [Focus] Right.

“Seduce him.” I simply said.

“That is beneath me,” She said, her anger flaring but she kept her tone calm as hell.

I nodded and said, “Fine, then have one of your disciples do it.

I did my research and I know of the incident between the prince and one of your promised disciples.

Just go with her.” The Yin Empress looked at me a little amazed which actually hurt a little.

Did she honestly think I wouldn’t know anything like that?

The idiot is attending eunuch classes because of that.

It was hilarious to hear.

“While it is a god suggestion, I do not want to do anything my disciple is unwilling to do.” The Yin Empress put a firm stop to my idea and it solely depended on the girl who was harassed by the moron.

While I could have used my influence, some shady methods, and her own sect master to convince her, but since I was a gentleman, a gentleman, I decided to give her the option coupled with a reward.

“I will offer you a thousand-year-old ginseng if you were to do this task for me.” I offered the girl who was brought in, without further ado, and all she did was looked at me suspiciously.

Not just her, but everyone in the room did.

[Can you blame them?] [You crawled your way in using the same herb and you ended up slaving their sect master] ‘When you put it like that…’ It wasn’t the best but I had kind of lost my reputation with that so I decided to go with the straightforward option and pulled out the herb from the inventory.

It wasn’t actually a thousand-year-old herb, it was originally around a hundred years old when I found it.

Even a hundred years old would have been a treasure but I doused it in my blood coupled with the element of life and made it more powerful than ever.

The glowing herb with a few leaves and roots still attached to it captured everyone’s attention.

Even now this thing was letting out pure Qi, just imagining it releasing the same thing in their bodies was sending shrills down their spine.

[You have no idea what you’re saying, are you?] ‘I do now.’ “So, is that enough to make you agree?” I asked, looking at the smack-jawed girl who was still fixated on the herb.

She unconsciously nodded her head.

I was sure if I asked her to jump out the window, she’d definitely do so.

Well, with that out of the way, the next thing I needed to do was to set the stage.

If everything went according to my plan, then the imperial family would be heading over to the Cheonma sect right now.

According to the setting, the just alliance would also be following shortly.

If human stupidity wasn’t cured, then the evil faction would also be formulating a ploy in the shadows.

And, if the setting was truly, truly clichéd, then there would be another hidden power in the shadows looking forward to using this opportunity and taking over the world of Murim in one swing.

[So everything going according to the plan] ‘Every one thing going according to the plan.’ CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Bad_Wolf_7811 Creation is hard, cheer me up!
