312: Assignments 312: Assignments Chapter 312 “You take this, you take this, and you take this,” Since we were already here, I thought giving these kids something to go on would be a good decision.

“What are these?” Zefton asked.

“Your main blessing is defense, right?” I asked before I added, “Well, this is a technique that makes your body harder than stone.” Literally.

Don’t underestimate the Shaolin techniques.

While their religious activities were doubtful, their power was the real deal.

For Zefton, who was built like a bodybuilder, this art was good.

After all, just strengthening outside wouldn’t be good, now would it?

It wouldn’t help if the person wasn’t strong from the inside too.

The Shaolin breathing technique would help with that.

Of course, that technique was modified for Qi while these guys had mana, a smoother and tamer power.

Still, it would help Zefton greatly.

“What I gave you will help you with that,” I said before I turned to Derrell and said, “What you have is the art of the Archer Saint.

There is no equivalent to that art in this world so make sure to understand it before we return.

You wouldn’t be able to master it, but you’d still be able to practice it when we get home.” Sera got the attack techniques of the Lunar Fairy.

While Lunar Fairy’s attacks were moonlight-attributed and hers were light-attributed, the core between the techniques was the same and it would allow Sera to increase the skills in her arsenal.

I gave Layla the art of Yin Palace.

While being a virg*n was also a requirement, Layla didn’t need that part because she wasn’t going with Yin energy but mana and turning her mana into cold might just be possible with this.

Even if it wasn’t, she would still be able to pick up quite a good number of techniques so that wasn’t exactly a waste.

Sasha, unfortunately, didn’t have an attributed art for her but I knew someone who could help with that so I’d take her there after this.

Asmara was to be taught by the heavenly demon so I left her as well and focused on the rest of the girls.

I gave Laura the breathing technique of the heavenly demon.

While it wouldn’t turn her mana to demonic energy because her mana was already converted to a superior element, it would make it purer and denser over time.

I gave Alicia the healing techniques to master.

Unfortunately, just like Sasha, there was no attribute like her as well but she didn’t need one.

She had my guidance in that term.

I gave Sophien the shadow art of the shadow demon.

While her own was amazing as well, it hadn’t manifested yet.

Until it didn’t, this art would help her make a strong foundation and she wouldn’t lose herself to the power of shadows like she did in the novel if she had a taste of it already.

Last but not least, Rose.

I didn’t have anything for her as well.

Of course, there were lightning arts in Murim but the path she had chosen was devoid of any guidance.

She didn’t need guidance but needed to figure out things on her own.

“What about me?” Eric asked.

I forgot about him.

“Nothing for you,” I replied.

“What?

Why?

Even he got something!” Eric said, feeling betrayed over the fact that Zefton got something he didn’t.

“Guess he’s a better slave than you,” I replied.

Both of them looked at me with ugly expressions.

I chuckled and said, “Fine.

Here you go.” “What is this?” Eric asked as he opened the paper.

I hadn’t given him any art or anything else.

Eric was strong enough without them and he had a better weapon and a technique than anyone else in the Murim.

He was the main character after all.

That wasn’t what held him back.

No.

What he needed was a reality check.

Good can be evil and evil can be good at times.

They needed to learn that.

Most of them all, he needed to learn that.

“It’s a map,” I said.

“To where?” He asked.

“Villages.

Go there and help people out.

Don’t come back until you’ve helped 1000 people.” I said.

“Why?” Eric asked because that didn’t make him stronger but as soon as he did, he swiftly said, “Fine.

I will do it.” Guess his system did something.

He wouldn’t have agreed so easily otherwise.

“You’re strong enough so you wouldn’t get in much trouble.

Go there and help people however you can.” I said.

“Fine.” He said and left after nodding to Sera.

“All right, you all have your assignments.

Get to them.” I said before I turned to Sasha and Asmara and said, “Come with me.” ~~ “You may leave now.

I want to familiarize myself with my new disciple,” As soon as we arrived at the heavenly palace, we were guided to the training hall where Tae Yong was already dressed in her black training robes.

Her eyes were emotionless and her face was as expressionless as yesterday.

She looked at me and asked me to leave.

Well, it was obvious that me and Asmara were in a relationship and that would cause discrepancies from either side.

As much as I wanted to say that she didn’t have to worry about it, I still agreed with her because I had another place I had to be.

“Thank you once again for your generosity,” I said before I left while I nodded at Asmara.

Asmara had only one problem and that was her body.

She couldn’t keep up with it.

In other words, her mind wasn’t too swift like mine.

That kind of development comes best from training or being guided.

While I could guide her, it would be better from a different perspective.

With that done, we set off for our next destination.

The Blue Pagoda.

The resident of the water demon.

Thanks to our status, we were easily granted access and we were swiftly guided to the courtyard where an artificial lake was.

There was a platform perched next to it and there was a resting place.

I could spot three people in there.

The Water Demon, an old man somewhere between 60-70.

He was the one I had seen yesterday.

The other two were in the court yesterday as well.

One of them was his disciple.

She was sitting with a calm expression on her face as well, just like water.

The other one, however, had an ugly expression on his face.

It wasn’t just because of me, but whatever they were discussing before me wasn’t pleasant for that guy as well.

That guy was none other than one of the disciples of the heavenly demon.

It was obvious why he was there and from the looks of it, he didn’t get what he was there for.

It was a race among the disciples after all.

“Lord Liu, I didn’t think that you would disrespect me by calling foreigners to our meeting.” He said, whatever his name was, before he looked at me with an angry expression.

To that, I just gave the most charming smile on the planet.

For some reason, it only angered him more.

Ah, he must be jealous of this smile.

Who wouldn’t be?

[…] “I thank you for allowing this meeting even when you were busy, Lord Liu,” I said with a courteous bow.

Sasha followed my movements awkwardly and thanked the man as well.

“I cannot let the esteemed guests of the sect master himself wait outside,” Old Liu said before he introduced himself, “This one is Liu Kuang, guests from a foreign land.

Please, make yourself comfortable in my humble abode.

I will tend to you soon.” Flowing water.

Assumed name, perhaps.

And him telling us to wait meant he was showing appropriate respect to the brat next to us but he was also telling the brat that the conversation between them was over and done with.

The brat seemed to have understood as well which turned his expression all the more ugly.

Well, he was handsome enough to make his expression look mildly ugly.

Anyway, he stood up and turned to Liu Kuang and said, “I will return soon.” Now where have I heard something similar?

[From every B-grade villain] Egg-zactly.

So this brat was the B-grade villain in this setting.

Got it.

“I apologize for the display,” Liu Kuang said.

I nodded and said, “We were in the wrong, coming when you had prior guests.” “Haha,” The old man chuckled before he added, “I wouldn’t call him a guest.” “More like a nuisance,” The girl standing behind the water demon said.

“Shi Ang, show the young master appropriate respect for his status,” Liu Kuang said but his tone wasn’t reprimanding in the least.

He didn’t mean a word of what he said.

Well, he was the water demon after all.

His status was way higher than some disciple.

Even if it was the disciple of the heavenly demon herself.

“Now, let us not discuss this issue any further.

How can I help you, guests from far away?” Liu Kuang asked.

I smiled and said, “Esteemed Water Demon.

I am here to make you an offer…” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Bad_Wolf_7811 Creation is hard, cheer me up!
