311: Human nature 311: Human nature Chapter 311 It was vexing.

She was too strong.

So strong that my experience wasn’t making a dent in her.

Not a figurative dent but a literal one.

The challenge was to move her arm but the level difference, along with the stat difference, was too much.

So much so that my experience wasn’t going to help improve this fight.

I hadn’t held back since the beginning and even with using the consecutive sword art, the damage of each strike was increasing but it wasn’t like it made much difference.

At most, my attack damage would be increased by a meager ten percent.

It wasn’t a little increase as no other sword art or any weapon technique gave that increase, but when fighting this woman, that increase was next to nothing.

Frankly speaking, this was my loss.

I had displayed all that I could.

Hundreds of sword techniques crammed into one.

If I hadn’t shown something, then it was the ‘Divine Demon’ sword art and ‘AyaAkusa’.

She’d recognize the ‘AyaAkusa’ since she had read the theory behind it.

As for the ‘Divine Demon’ sword art, given her talent, I was afraid she might pick something up.

‘Divine Demon’ sword art wasn’t as dangerous as ‘AyaAkusa’ but it could be used by her, unlike the latter one which required soul power, the former one could be used with any power as long as one could control it.

That was why I was going to teach it to Asmara.

A sword art that was devoid of any special requirements.

Such a technique would be vastly in demand and if the woman before me managed to figure it out, not only would her own strength increase by a lot, and if she were to teach it to her sect, then the heavenly demon sect would be unrivaled in the world of Murim.

It wasn’t a bad thing, maybe not under her rule.

But there was a reason why I was hesitant to do so.

After all, I gave immeasurable power to my disciple and what he did to the world must still be remembered to this day.

Arriving at this conclusion, either I swallowed my pride and admit my loss… [I didn’t know you had any] …Or I keep on fighting until she won.

Because, in the end, she was going to win.

All I could do was struggle until the bitter end or end my struggle now.

“I concede.” I stepped back and admitted my defeat.

I wasn’t unfamiliar with the concept of losing and I knew how to get over it.

[But not from someone so young] ‘Release all the limits from my body and return the EXP you embezzled and I will turn this world upside down tomorrow.’ [Life is full of ups and downs] [It is not nice to be impatient] Wise words, for sure.

She stole my EXP under the guise of limits.

Of course, the limits were true, and she could have returned it but she didn’t.

She stored it for herself so she could use it to manifest into the real world later.

[Everyone seeks freedom] ‘Freedom at the cost of my power, you mean?’ [Let’s not sweat over small details] [Deal with that chick for now] That chick, which Allison referred to, was none other than Tae Yong, the sect master of the Cheonma sect and the current heavenly demon.

Her expression wasn’t good and she sure wasn’t content with me ending the fight.

But she couldn’t just say that she wanted to fight with me because that would mean admitting to the fact that she acknowledged my skills.

[Well, even if she did, you still won’t fight her] Of course, I won’t.

Why would I intentionally make her stronger than she already was?

While I was gaining nothing from this friendly spar, she was gaining lots.

I bet my left hand she didn’t find one single opening during the entire fight.

A person is open to attacks the most when they are attacking.

I, however, had no such weakness.

Even during wide movements, as long as certain conditions were met, I could still guard myself without leaving a single opening for a counter.

With that said, our short but fierce battle came to an end.

My objective was reached.

Everyone was now looking at me warily.

Granted, I was still an enemy to them, but now I was a strong enemy and they wouldn’t just make any unnecessary move against me.

~~ “As agreed, I will impart my teachings upon you.” Tae Yong said, her expression still neutral as before but I could sense a great deal of satisfaction.

As if she hadn’t reached the cli… [Focus] Right.

“I thank you for your graciousness but I must clarify my request.” I replied before I pulled Asmara forward and said, “I’d like it if you could impart your teachings to my wife.” Asmara was looking at me, confused, however, she did nothing and just stood there.

As for Tae Yong, she looked at me before she turned her eyes to Asmara.

The way she was looking at her was like a hungry beast eyeing a tame deer.

She then once again looked at me, pleased by the attributes Asmara’s natural display displayed, and said, “She seems to be very talented in the ways of the sword.

It would be a great experience to teach her.” I bowed and said, “I would be grateful to you.” “And what of your other wives?” Tae Yong asked.

“Not all of them are my wives.

Some of them are my servants as well.” I replied.

“Really?

Only two of them look like servants.” She said, pointing at Eric and Zefton, both of whom tensed when they saw they were being discussed by her.

“Hahaha.” I chuckled.

It was now official.

They would be my servants in every setting.

“Guide the guests to the Green Pagoda pavilion.” Tae Yong said to one of her servants before she turned to me, “Bring your wife to me tomorrow.

Rest for today.” Today was about to end after all.

And I also needed to solve the language issue somehow.

I couldn’t just be the translator for all of them.

[I can help with that] ‘Thank goodness.’ [Thank me] [And you will stop pestering me about the EXP] Sure, sure.

A small price to pay for it.

Power was something I had in abundance.

It didn’t matter much if she took some of it.

~~ As soon as we arrived at the building called Green Pagoda Pavilion, I wasn’t impressed.

Well, that may have had to do with how luxurious of palaces I stayed before but my team was certainly impressed.

Why?

Because the green pavilion pagoda was almost the size of a castle.

It was almost as tall as a twenty-five-story building.

The top and balcony attached roofs were made of green material while the walls were made of a dark green material.

Even the doors and windows had a tinge and patterns of green on them.

This must be the castle of the Earth Demon.

Earth Demon, along with the other three demons of different attributes, was like a general of the army after the commander who was none other than the heavenly demon, Yan Tae Yong.

Once we settled in, which was easier for me because I was familiar with such designs but once again, my team wasn’t, we all met in the main hall where we were served dinner and then left alone.

Unfortunately, Eric and Zefton had to eat separately because servants couldn’t eat at the same table as the master.

Unspoken rule.

Anyway, once we were left alone and I received eyes of stink from Eric and Zefton, I explained to them everything that was my plan.

I also gave them this… [Language package (Temp)] [Effect: Allows the consumer to understand and speak all and any type of language] [Effect lasts for fifteen days] [Price: 1,000,000 coins] Of course, it was very expensive as well.

I fed the pill to all of them and even though some of them were not my party members, the pill still worked on them and they could understand and speak the language.

As soon as they understood why I had planned, one person didn’t like anything about my plan.

“Why are we staying with people who have obviously made deals with demons?!” Eric angrily asked.

Since he was in disagreement, Sera was too.

However, the rest looked at me, waiting for me to clarify my intentions because they weren’t on board with this plan as well.

Well, it made sense, since the obvious name of the demon was in the title, these guys, who have only known demons as enemies wouldn’t get along with people who have made deals with the demons.

Well, it wasn’t exactly a demon but that would be a too confusing story for these people.

Instead, to let them better understand my decisions, I needed to show them why I had made such decisions in the first place.

The first step in doing that is….

“Why don’t we all sleep for the night and I will show you what to do tomorrow?” I will have to show them the reality of the world.

There was no good or bad in this world.

There was just human nature with which, they weren’t very well familiar yet.

I will be kind enough to show them the human nature.
