291: Queen of thunder, Rose 291: Queen of thunder, Rose Chapter 291 “Is… Is it not a little too harsh?” Laura asked the others beside her.

Sophien and Alicia agreed with her with the accompany of a nod but Asmara didn’t do so.

She had a different point of view on things.

What she saw was different than what others saw.

She saw how Adrian held back even though he didn’t give the impression of such a thing.

Not only was Adrian adjusting well, but he was also making sure Rose wasn’t hurt in any way that could threaten her life.

Spark!

Asmara, as sensitive as she was due to her high physical attributes couldn’t help but notice something.

Her senses tingled, conveying a warning of danger.

The kind of danger she felt from Adrian.

And that was the kind of danger Asmara never belittled.

“Get down!” Asmara held Alicia and Sophien, the two weak physical fighters, and pushed them down.

Seeing them, Laura didn’t hesitate to follow, and just as she did… Boomm!!!

The entire stage was blown away.

Sparks of lightning flooded the entire arena, sparing no one.

Rafael, as if prepared for such a thing, hurriedly jumped down and created a barrier with his mana and spatial energy around the stage, minimizing the damage in an instant but that instant was enough to blow away almost all of the audience.

The power they felt wasn’t that of a mere SS rank.

No, it was SS rank but it was much more than that.

It was much more pristine.

And it was very dangerous.

~~ [Amazing] ‘Right?’ I replied to the smack-jawed Allison whose open mouth I could imagine.

Did that sound dirty for some reason?

[I mean you I expected to be so but her…] She was speechless and quite frankly, so was I.

I had every reason to be.

After all, Rose was assimilating with the element of lightning.

It was crude and basic, but just as long as she had the idea of how to proceed.

She had an idea, all she had to do now was to proceed with it, which wasn’t easy in the least, but it wasn’t something she wouldn’t be able to go forward with.

Given her talent, it wouldn’t be surprising if she were to step past the realm of sparks and enter the true realm of lightning.

[HP -127] Even I was taking damage.

It wasn’t something severe, but it definitely was something to note because my endurance was currently at the divine rank with the [Angel’s blessing] buff active.

Looking at Rose who had a new look to her figure, her hair floating and pale blue in color and so were her eyes, her skin became paler than it was before almost as if she had no blood in her.

There were no other changes to her body, especially to her figure sadly.

[Even in this situation] [You’re a perv] ‘It proves I’m a healthy male,’ I dismissed her remark as something that didn’t matter and focused on the newfound notifications that popped up once the force of mana and lightning from Rose began to lessen.

[Your party member ‘Rose Roosevelt’ is now level 361] Rose jumped from the peak of S rank to straight up the peak of SS- rank.

It was marvelous, to say the least, and there was nothing more to teach her as well.

Now she had to do it all on her own.

It was a shame, I wanted to teach her myself but from the looks of it, she had chosen her own path and it was hers to carve from now on.

[She’s all grown up] ‘Not enough,’ I replied before I readied my punch.

No more holding back now because technically, Rose was stronger than me if I were to consider just level-wise.

But stats wise was a whole different story but that didn’t mean I could be as careless as I was before.

As Rose’s transformation ended, she looked at me, her light blue eyes carrying a hint of enlightenment.

As if the whole world was different.

I wasn’t the type to believe in enlightenment but even I had to admit that Rose was a special case.

She didn’t receive enlightenment by sitting on her cute little butt, but she worked hard for it and that was what mattered the most.

[Angel’s blessing] [All stats +50%] It wasn’t time to hold back anymore.

I pulled out a sword, the one I had given Asmara.

It wasn’t sharp but it was sturdy and I hoped it would be able to hold on to the divine demon sword art.

But I would have to see first if I even need to use it because that sword art was solely created for killing and I wasn’t trying to kill Rose.

Rose looked at me, staring me deep into my eyes before she took a step forward.

A blur was all I saw, and the next moment, she was swinging her fist at me and she was surprised by her own speed.

I dodged, utilizing my speed to the maximum, and countered by a punch of my own.

Boomm!!!

As our fists collided, a massive shockwave was produced and the shield that Rafael had constructed around us began to crack.

I was sure even he would have a look of surprise on his face but true surprise was yet to come.

Rose stumbled back due to the force of my punch being stronger which granted me the chance to counterattack.

I was the one to attack first this time and as soon as she saw me coming, she raised her own hands, and sparks formed on them.

I stopped my charge midway through and dodged to the left side just before two beams of lightning flashed passed me and struck Rafael’s shield.

Two holes were formed in it and the beams further traveled, ripping a hole in the arena wall which was thankfully evacuated for some reason.

I didn’t lose this chance while Rose was still finishing her attack and equipped soul power on my sword.

[SP -5] And swung it, sending a pure, transparent, ethereal slash that ripped through everything in its path and struck Rose who hurriedly formed a shield of lightning around her.

I noticed a slight rigidity in that movement of hers.

She was familiar with the attack lightning but for some reason, her body wasn’t able to process that feeling when she used it to defend herself.

And that was my in.

As much as I would have loved to guide her, she was mine to guide any more.

She had to find her faults on her own.

[SP -5] [SP -5] On another note, I will have to do something about my SP.

My soul power hadn’t changed ever since I gained it.

It was still 210.

The items required to increase my soul power were hella expensive and couldn’t be utilized at my current strength.

Until I completed the fifth step of the Penta enhancement array, the risk factor involved would be too high.

It wasn’t like it would diminish afterward, but it wouldn’t be as much as it was now.

No matter how much I tried, I could never go deep enough into the soul.

One would think life and death were complicated.

That was because they wouldn’t have faced the complications regarding the soul.

The current opponents I needed to face weren’t at the rank that I could face them with my meager strength.

I mean, even now, I needed to put five soul points to put a proper shot that Rose could still block despite her clumsy lightning barrier.

It wouldn’t even leave a scratch if her defense was perfect.

And not just her, even if I were to face Sirius, the amount of soul power I would need to defeat him should at least have to be 3000 which was almost 15 times than I currently possessed.

Rose looked at me as she once again blocked both of my slashes and zapped at me once again.

I knew where she was gonna appear due to my extensive experience with lightning and her movements and I wasn’t disappointed when she chose a linear movement.

I could still follow her, but it was good she didn’t choose a complicated pattern because she still wasn’t used to the power of lightning.

“Fury of thunder!” she loudly exclaimed a skill which was, quite frankly, impressive and dangerous, both to her and me.

Her fist was covered in lightning in the form of a drill but it wasn’t just one drill.

There were hundreds of drills coated above each other in the micro sense.

It meant it was a drill in the serious sense.

Even if I was able to block some of them, my defenses would crumble after the rest of them which would damage me quite significantly.

It was a very good skill and it left only one option and that was dodge but even that was only possible if one was fast enough.

But I didn’t need to dodge.

Why?

Well, that came down to how dangerous it was to her.

Boom!

And there goes an arm.
