283: See you again, brother 283: See you again, brother Chapter 283 Adrian looked around, then his gaze moved to the stunned Zeus who was looking at the [Magic cannon] Adrian had been preparing since the sixth move of the ‘Divine demon sword art’.

With his MP almost unlimited and his control raised to new heights, the magic cannon was able to expand to the limits Adrian had never tried before and still remained stable.

Adrian looked at Zeus, who was slowly coming out of his reverie, and looked at him, his eyes full of hatred yet a tinge of envy could be seen, seeing the power he couldn’t possess even though both of them shared the same origin, same father, same everything yet Adrian was still the stronger one.

Adrian sighed and let the [Magic cannon] that covered the entire burnt forest fall with Zeus in the middle of it.

Zeus knew there was no escaping from this so the only chance was to reduce the power of the attack.

Of course, it was impossible to completely evade the damage, he was at least hopeful he’d be able to reduce the damage to the extent he wouldn’t at least die.

Seeing a giant moon fall on their heads wasn’t a fantasy anyone shared and it wasn’t easy for Zeus as well.

Still, he raised both of his hands as sparks appeared on both of his hands and they began to turn denser.

Soon enough, they took the color of deep blue but didn’t show any signs of stopping until the lightning had condensed to the point that it was more like a ray than a tendril.

Zeus shot two beams from both his hands to stop the falling giant cannon.

The power coming from him was no less than that of a guardian-ranked being, but even that would pale in comparison to the power Zeus was emitting.

Adrian turned into light and appeared above the sky, above the giant ball of destruction that was slowly but surely making its way into the ground, taking Zeus along with it.

Adrian looked at all of it with passive eyes and raised his sword.

A white colored dome began to form around the giant ball.

Of course, it wouldn’t lower the damage and most likely wouldn’t contain it all that much, but at the moment, even a little bit was a higher chance of survival.

Not of Adrian’s of course, but those on the outside.

He knew what kind of power he was releasing and also the kind of power Zeus was countering it with.

The clash of such powers wouldn’t just destroy that artifact but the scale of destruction would be beyond that too.

Even now, the ground was trembling from the collision of two powers, the shockwaves of such a power shaking the entire foundation of the world.

And to that, all Adrian did was wait.

Zeus, on the other hand, was constantly pushing his power into his hands, exerting all the power he could and then more to somehow stop the impending attack which he knew was impossible and even if he somehow managed to survive miraculously, that bubble of miracle would be instantly destroyed by any of the next attack Adrian could muster.

Still, he was going to fight until his last breath and his last breath was nowhere near yet.

He was going to at least punch Adrian once before he died.

However, unfortunately for him, having enough of this, Adrian slashed the sword in his hand and a slash of air struck the giant [Magic cannon] that was half through the ground now.

As soon as the invisible slash consisting of nothing but air pressure struck the stable [Magic cannon], the cannon began to tremble.

‘Fu*k.’ Zeus cursed and as a last resort, shrouded himself in the lightning shell to protect himself from the blast.

Boommm!!!

An explosion that shook the entire earth.

A tremble that brought the end of the world along with it began to run throughout the entire world.

The world, which was slowly deteriorating anyway, began to disintegrate into nothingness faster.

The artifact that was the size of the European continent began to break apart from the middle, the place where Zeus was, cramped in a shell, desperately trying to live through.

The pillars of lava, trapped at the earth’s core began to make their appearance known to the outside world, burning everything in existence.

Adrian turned to look at the other side of the spatial barrier, where the remnants of the city of angels were still standing, about to be destroyed.

He extended his hand, tempted to go there one last time before he clenched his fist and gave up on the idea.

Now wasn’t the time to focus on the past.

It would only hurt more, he decided, and then looked back down at the place, the ground that resembled the image of the apocalypse where everything was destroyed and returned to Mother Earth.

But there was something that was still holding on, desperately.

Desperately clinging to that last piece of hope that he could make an impossible dream of victory come true.

Zeus lay on the ground, bloodied and out of power.

Lightning was protecting him from the destruction around him, protecting him and along with him, a certain area around him.

Adrian sighed and slowly descended to the area that was still protected from destruction but was close to being destroyed.

As he landed on the firm ground, the calm returned to the area that Zeus was desperately trying to contain with his power.

As the trembling in that area stopped and no voice entered that area, Adrian slowly made his way to Zeus who could only follow his movements with his eyes because that was the only part of his body he could move.

“You won.

So just finish this.” Zeus said weakly, his voice great bit sore.

The extent of the damage his body received was beyond repair anytime soon.

Even with his special trait from his father, he would need at least half a day to return to his peak.

Enough time for Adrian to finish him off.

Adrian, however, kept staring at Zeus, seeing the traces of his clothes that he was wearing when he threw him into the dimensional void to forever be stuck.

Of course, given that there was no concept of time in the void, Zeus must have been in there for only a second from his perspective while for Adrian, millions of years of his life had passed since he technically killed his brother.

“You look the same,” Adrian said.

“Hah!” Zeus scoffed at that attempt at small talk and said, “And you look nothing like you.

Now can we get this over with?” “How do you plan on reviving her now that her soul crystal has been destroyed?” Ignoring Zeus’s request, Adrian asked.

Zeus looked at Adrian, pure curiosity in Adrian’s eyes or was it the need to know, made Zeus smile.

“Whatever it is, I’m not giving you the satisfaction of knowing before I die.

I can’t do this again and finding you out there wouldn’t be as easy as I think.” Adrian talked to himself and then looked at Zeus who was once again confused about his words and said, “Then let us meet again, brother.” Saying so, Adrian let go of both the sword and the scythe.

The scythe turned into a flash of lightning before it broke down in many flashes of lightning which then altogether disappeared, leaving only the sword behind which shot up towards the sky but shortly returned, at a breakneck speed and pierced Zeus’s heart, killing him on the spot.

His eyes open wide, Adrian could still see the hatred in them, no sign of it diminishing no matter what.

He waved his hand and the sword returned to his hands, the body of his brother slowly disappearing.

Although he was immortal, he could die if Adrian were at his full power but since he wasn’t, it wouldn’t have been possible for Zeus to die.

However, he was inside a memory of an artifact and that memory was being erased now that the artifact was on the brink of destruction.

Adrian also turned into a flash of light and disappeared from the soon-to-be-destroyed world.

~~ “Remain vigilant,” Astaroth said as he and a party of about two hundred people, including Alastair and a variety of races were trying to make their way through what looked like giant tombstones.

There were strange monsters all around them but none of them attacked them for some reason.

They just remained in their places while this party of 200 made their way to the deepest part of the tombstone, a place where there was nothing but a lot of Sarcophagus, and in the middle of them, a faint light could be seen flowing.

That light wasn’t flowing through a grave but instead, it was a cylindrical device that was set up in the middle of the room, which could be seen through.

Inside of it was green liquid that was producing bubbles as if it was being constantly boiled.

However, that wasn’t what their attention was.

The party’s sole attention was on the black-haired individual suspended in the liquid.
