282: The Brothers (2) 282: The Brothers (2) Chapter 282 Adrian remained in his place, looking down at the barren ground that was now nowhere near the lush green forest it was just a little while ago.

The ground was scorched black and all greenery was dead and turned into ashes.

In the middle of such a destroyed scenery, stood Zeus, huffing and panting as his clothes were gone from his upper body.

Cough!

Zeus coughed blood from his mouth that when fell on the floor sizzled due to how hot the ground was.

Zeus was badly damaged but even now, thanks to who he was, he was slowly healing to perfection.

Of course, he also knew that Adrian wasn’t going to give him that short reprieve.

He looked at Adrian who was midair with resentment and coughed another mouthful of blood as his insides repaired and expelled anything unnecessary.

Adrian saw the scene with his eyes and knew it would take more than that to kill Zeus because even though he was stronger than Zeus, the difference wasn’t too much.

Adrian’s attacks weren’t at their full power so there was also that factor that Adrian couldn’t overlook, aiding Zeus’s survival against him.

Still, the winner was obvious and any resistance was just a waste of time, preventing the inevitable result of this battle from arriving earlier.

But, Adrian also knew that it would be impossible to finish this faster than expected because Zeus was the original one, the son of death, while he wasn’t in his original body so many of his perks were currently gone.

In a sense, Zeus was stronger compared to Adrian and it was solely because Adrian was so knowledgeable and experienced that he was not able to keep up with Zeus, but also defeat him.

“You think this would be over if you kill me?

I will find a way to return.

The Bradshaws have already made a pact with me.” Zeus said.

Adrian didn’t say anything upon hearing the name of his father’s family and said, “If you’re talking about the piece of your soul you extracted thanks to Celina, then that’s no longer an option.

I destroyed it.” Of course, after killing Zeus, Adrian made sure to erase any trace of him other than the dimensional space.

That way, his brother would be half dead, never able to come to his former strength ever again.

And one more thing that he didn’t tell Zeus was that currently, even if Zeus died, he wasn’t really there but just a memory.

The real Zeus was still out there somewhere and Adrian would surely do everything in his power to find him.

“Haha.

Then I guess you will have to kill me here.

Can you do that, Archangel?” Zeus mockingly questioned.

Adrian didn’t reply.

Instead, he raised the scythe in hand and said… [Aqua Empress] Water came into existence from nowhere.

At first, just a drop, it began to turn into a ball and soon, it was a giant ball.

Adrian threw it in Zeus’s direction with the slash of the scythe.

The ball of water that was around the size of a basketball kept increasing until it became as big as an observatory.

It exploded as it hit the ground and a giant wave of water swept the entire land.

That was the technique from Sasha’s weapon.

It was, of course, something Sasha would never be able to do unless she reached the divine stage because the amount of water Adrian produced was something that could drown an entire city.

However, Zeus wasn’t just some city.

He was a powerhouse that could destroy anything that could get in his way and he wasn’t even at his full strength yet because that was the limit this fragment allowed.

[Holy rain] Without giving Zeus any time to rest as he tried to dodge the raging waters on the ground, Adrian shot Sera’s move on the ground, covering the ground in light arrows.

Of course, once again, the power of Zeus showed itself and he turned into lightning and avoided any attack that could harm him.

Up next was Layla’s attack of ice that froze the entire world down there along with the water.

As the spikes of ice appeared on the ground, taller than trees, it was hard for Zeus to maneuver on the ground and take up to the skies.

[Hail of Apollo] Arrows, once again but this time, they were more exquisite in shape and far less than Sera’s move.

Derrell’s move pinpointed the target and followed them until they either hit the target or they ran out of mana.

Since Adrian was using them, mana wasn’t needed and Adrian’s power was more than enough to keep them up for life.

So the only scenario they were going to extinguish was when they hit Zeus which was proving very hard for them given Zeus’s speed wasn’t something to be underestimated.

Still, the arrows never gave up following him and in the end, Zeus had no choice but to waste his power, time, and concentration to destroy the arrows which was exactly what Adrian needed.

[Heracles eternity] From the pointed scythe, shockwaves that were similar to Zefton’s punches, emitted and struck Zeus who was busy dealing with the arrows.

“Ugh!!!” He groaned in pain as the pain that assaulted him wasn’t something to put him down, it similarly wasn’t something he could so easily ignore.

Zeus hurriedly got up to deal with the rest of the arrows.

These five attacks were something that Zeus had to watch out for because of how annoying they were.

They didn’t injure him but they did hurt him and it didn’t take a long time for them to be used as well.

Almost as… ‘As if he’s preparing something big.’ Zeus thought.

But there was no way of knowing that because Adrian was just standing there in the air, doing nothing at all but waving the scythe in his left hand.

While Zeus had just finished dealing with the arrows, taking two of them to sacrifice any grave injuries, suddenly, for reasons he couldn’t understand, cuts appeared on his body.

His cheeks, his forehead, his neck, his chest, his back, his arms, his legs, and his feet.

No area of his wasn’t covered by those cuts.

While the cuts weren’t deep, they weren’t shallow either, delivering just the right amount of pain.

As if they were made by a dagger.

Even in pain, Zeus still kept his gaze on Adrian.

Zeus was well aware that Adrian was doing something else behind the guise of these smaller attacks.

However, he couldn’t find anything out of the norm around the place except for the sun shining brightly above in the sky compared to when he came there first.

‘The sun?’ Suddenly it struck him.

Were there two suns when he first appeared in that strange place?

~~ “That… is that even… possible?” Layla, who was most unfamiliar with Adrian’s power was looking at something she couldn’t even imagine happening.

Adrian wasn’t using just one or two, but all of the apostle’s moves, better and far stronger than any of them would ever be able to.

And the precision was to the point that they couldn’t believe it was their own moves being executed.

“I knew… he was strong, but this…” Sasha couldn’t complete her sentence because she didn’t even know what to say to that.

The magical wavelengths showed two guardian-rank beings fighting each other but it was clear who was in the lead.

What she, along with almost everyone else, thought was that could even a guardian-rank being do what Adrian was doing.

“I don’t know about the rest of you,” Sophien said because she and the girls had an idea of Adrian’s strength before she added, “I don’t think that’s a normal magic bullet.” “Can that even… be called a magic bullet at this point?” Michelle chimed in because she couldn’t get over what she was seeing as well.

A magic bullet, a skill that was the lowest of the lowest, was shining up above in the sky of the artifact, was definitely not the magic bullet any of them could ever even think of.

“What… what would happen if that… sun…” Desmond couldn’t find the right words and asked the magic analyst who understood the question and said, “The artifact is barely holding on because the inheritance has been fulfilled.

If that… sun… fell on the artifact, it would be destroyed, taking a good part of this place as well.” “The… then shouldn’t we evacuate?” A student asked but even she couldn’t tear her eyes from the magical hologram that was showing the fight inside.

How did she expect others to look away?

But, as much as Desmond would have liked to see that fight to its climax, he also knew that dying wouldn’t trump the feeling of this majestic fight.

“Everyone, evacuate,” He calmly said and began to use his mana to create a shield around the artifact.

Michelle also came out of her reverie and did the same.

Seeing them, the other teacher began to do the same.

But everyone in there knew it was useless.

They would never be able to stop an attack from a guardian-ranked being, even if it was reduced to a great degree.
