The Archangel of Death - Chapter 280
280: The Brothers 280: The Brothers Chapter 280 The world shook.
Not just the smaller one they were in but even the outside world was going through events that represented the past and the future.
But while that was all being decided, another person inside the smaller world was going through a series of reactions.
Hatred, fear, nostalgia, hesitation, and many more emotions passed through Zeus’s eyes as he looked at the white pillar far, far away, shaking the entire world.
The trees were being uprooted, the entire landscape was being rearranged.
The force he felt was even pushing him away.
He tried to hold on but Zeus couldn’t match that power.
Even at this moment, his power was increasing but it wasn’t nowhere strong enough for him to bear the pressure pushing all of his being.
He glanced down, looking at the weaklings from earlier but there was a familiar green-colored barrier around them, protecting them from the power that uprooted the entire world.
That helped Zeus reach a consensus.
The people down there were special to his brother or at least some of them were and that was enough of a confirmation he needed.
Soon enough, his power once again increased to the point where he could bear the pressure without raising his arms in front.
So he used his arms somewhere else.
He once again generated an electric storm, the lightning coagulating around him.
The power decreased by a lot due to the power that was being emitted from the white pillar, but it was still enough to kill those down there.
The green barrier, no matter how strong was just a temporary measure, protecting the students from the waves of scattered power.
Power wasn’t concentrated on that barrier otherwise it would have long since broken down.
Zeus was confident with his power, he could easily get rid of the barrier and the students along with it.
[Titan’s wrath: Thunder’s clash] A giant wave of lightning consisting of smaller waves that seemed to have been colliding with each other, producing massive power shockwaves, headed in the direction of the students.
It was a strong attack and there was no way any of them would be able to do anything about it.
The death of the students was inevitable and all they could do was die a quick death because, with the amount of power in that wave, the students wouldn’t be able to feel anything before they died.
A quick death was a mercy.
More than Zeus was willing to grant them so easily but he had no choice.
If there was a chance killing them would hurt his brother, he would always choose that above his personal pleasure of killing them slowly.
Alas… Boommm!!!
Whaaammmm!!!!
The white pillar once again exploded before it disappeared.
A power that was unrivaled flooded the entire world, even affecting the dimensional tear up above in the sky.
As for the attack that Zeus had thrown at the students vanished without a trace, not being able to bear the pressure of the power, it scattered across the entire space, scattered into millions of particles.
The green barriers disappeared.
Everyone felt something warm close to them, something peaceful.
Yet at the same time, they felt a deep-rooted fear for the strong.
A figure clad in white light stood in front of Rose.
Rose raised her head, with little power that she had, and a smile appeared on her face.
“W……h….e..r…e…..” She couldn’t speak more than that but Adrian could guess what she was asking.
He raised his hand and a warm light enveloped her.
Not just her but the girls around her as well.
They were his priority after all.
[Breath of life] The healing power that regenerated limbs at this point healed all five of them in an instant.
As a courtesy, he healed the rest as well.
The white light was still enveloping his entire body so the students couldn’t tell who it was but the girls could and also Eric and the rest of the apostles could sense him as well.
But what they could also sense was the power that was emitting from Adrian.
A power Eric was well familiar with but he could only wonder how Adrian got a hold of it.
As soon as everyone was healed, they were left to marvel at the power in front of them.
They would have to spend years but even then, they doubted they could ever come even close to this being.
Adrian, still clad in white light, raised his hand and slightly shook his middle and forefingers.
As he did, it felt like something in the sky broke like glass.
“Go home for now.” A voice, mixed with three more voices that gave it a feeling of divinity spoke.
“What?!
NO!” Laura yelled, knowing what Adrian was trying to do but before she could even take one step, she disappeared from her spot along with the rest of the students.
However, something didn’t leave.
That was correct; things.
Eric’s sword remained back and not just his weapon, but the weapons of the other six apostles also remained in the fragment.
Adrian could understand why Eric’s sword but he was sure he didn’t leave behind those weapons so they weren’t his.
But the question was; if they weren’t, then why were they responding to his power?
He raised his hand and Eric’s sword moved, coming to his hand by itself.
As he grabbed it, he turned around and looked at Zeus in the sky, his eyes closed and his power rising.
The tendrils of lightning became stronger by the second around him.
Zeus’ strength had risen up to the guardian rank but it wasn’t to the top yet.
The limit of this artifact was the last stage of guardian rank so Zeus wasn’t going beyond that.
Still, Adrian wasn’t going to stand around and let Zeus get to full power which would end up making it a long fight.
Adrian raised the sword in his hand and pointed it at Zeus.
The form of the sword began to change as it did last time when Adrian’s power began to flow through it.
As the tip of the sword was pointed at Zeus, a beam of light was formed at the tip and was soon shot at Zeus.
Although Zeus was busy accumulating his power, he was still attentive enough to know what was coming at him.
A field of lightning formed in front of the beam of light to stop it and it did, for the first few seconds but then Zeus had to stop concentrating on power and avert all of the attention at that beam that was about to pierce him.
But no matter how much of his power he put into it, he couldn’t stop that beam.
The power within was so great that Zeus’s stamina was going down faster than he anticipated with the use of his lightning to stop such a simple-looking attack.
Just before the shield of light was about to break, the beam suddenly vanished, making Zeus pant in exhaustion but when he looked at the source of the beam, there was no one there.
“Divine demon sword art: third move.” “Ethereal slash.” Zeus hurriedly turned around at the voice coming from above him but it was too late.
A slash that was formed from the slash of the sword traveled in his direction, threatening to cut him in half.
Seeing no other choice, Zeus created a shell of blue lightning around him, protecting him from the scattered damage of the slash.
The shell, however, was thrown to the ground along with Zeus and embedded deep into the ground because of how powerfully it was struck.
Still, it managed to hold on and that was all that mattered to Zeus.
As for Adrian, he began to prepare a stronger attack for his next move because he knew a simple attack wouldn’t be able to break that shell.
“Divine demon sword art: fifth move.” “Celestial heavens.” Adrian raised his sword in the sky and then brought it down.
Along with that simple movement, millions of poles made of light also fell along with that, as if a rain of arrows but just concentrated in one place.
The rain of light fell on the shell, breaking it and thawing it slowly, because even with such a strong and constant move, the shell was too strong and Adrian couldn’t use any of his strong attacks because he didn’t know what would happen to the fragment.
After a few seconds, the move ended and the blue-colored shell around Zeus was badly damaged.
But unfortunately, it wasn’t pierced.
Zeus was still kicking inside, restoring his stamina and raising his strength as time passed by.
Adrian sighed and had no choice but to pull his sword back as if in a pierce and prepared a stronger attack that he was sure would pierce the shell but wasn’t sure of the extent of damage it would do to the fragment.
However, before he could do that, the shell began to break.
From the cracked parts of the shell, intense blue light began to emit in all directions and wherever that light fell, the place was scorched in blue flames.
Soon enough, the shell exploded, lighting a good part of the area on fire.
As for Adrian, he simply used [Celestial Guard] to protect himself from the onslaught of the concentrated blue lightning.
As the attack ended, he glanced down, looking at Zeus who was standing in the middle of a giant crater, blue fire all around him as tendrils of lightning fell on everything from him and scorched that place too even though everything around him was already burned to a good degree.
“Long time no see,” Adrian said before he added with an expressionless face, looking at Zeus who had his eyes closed, “Brother.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Bad_Wolf_7811 Creation is hard, cheer me up!
