271: Ressurection?

271: Ressurection?

Chapter 271 The cry of a newborn baby.

Everyone was familiar with that cry at one point in their lives.

Some were delighted, some were tense while some didn’t just know what to do.

However, the man currently holding the baby girl knew exactly what to do.

The middle-aged man handed the baby to the exhausted mother and said, “Look at our baby girl.

She has your eyes.” The mother smiled involuntarily when she saw the adorable little baby.

The middle-aged man smiled when he saw the soothing expression on his wife and said, “Shouldn’t you name her?” The woman smiled even more but she didn’t say anything.

She turned to the middle-aged man, her husband, and said, “Have your father name her.

She will truly be blessed then.” The man smiled and said, “She would be blessed by father anyway.

But if it is what you truly want, I shall do as you say.” The woman smiled and nodded.

The middle-aged man spent some more time with his wife until she fell asleep after feeding the baby.

Once the baby was well-fed and asleep, the man took her and went out of the luxurious room while still holding her carefully.

However, he wouldn’t have walked much when the baby woke up and began to cry.

He tried to calm her himself but the cry of the baby just went on and on until they got too much that the man was worried she might hurt herself.

“You’re not holding her well.” The man heard the voice of another man, a younger one.

He turned to see the man who was standing in the corridor of the palace, dressed in a white suit, his hair and eyes both white.

“Father.” The man said with a smile, calling a man half his age his father, which would have been strange for everyone but it wasn’t.

The young man was old, older than anyone else in the entire empire.

“And who is this little loud creature?” The young man asked with a smile as he extended his hands.

“She’s your granddaughter.” The middle-aged man said with a smile and handed the baby girl to his father.

The young man took the baby in his embrace and as soon as he did, the baby stopped crying and looked into the eyes of the young man with her half-closed eyes.

The young man couldn’t help but be melted when he saw the adorable expression on the baby’s face.

“What’s her name?” The young man asked.

“We haven’t named her yet, father.” The middle-aged man replied.

“Why not?” The young man curiously asked.

“We were hoping you could.” The man replied, his eyes hopeful and his expression that of a plea.

The young man laughed and said, “You’re still a little boy, aren’t you, Malcolm?

Be not afraid.

I will name her for you.” The young man looked down at the baby who was also now looking at him, her face devoid of any expression but she didn’t need an expression to relay her adorable features.

“Alvira.

The harmony of truth.” The young man said before he added, “The little angel of the empire of angels.

The angel of truth.” The middle-aged man smiled at the name given to her daughter and couldn’t help but be happy about the fact that she would forever remain under the blessing of the Archangel.

~ “What are you doing there, Andrew?” Aliya asked as she entered a corridor that would have been better off called a black corridor because of the dark tiled interior.

At the end of the corridor, was a door that led to a giant vault.

A giant vault of treasures.

“Nothing,” Andrew replied.

Aliya laughed and said, “You don’t even believe that.

So, what are you trying to steal anyway?” “It’s not stealing.

I’m a Smith.

It belongs to me.” Andrew argued.

“A great logic for a six-year-old.

But not so much for you.” Aliya said before she added as she stepped forward, “I can’t let you take that, Andrew.” “Why?

Because it’s wrong?

Why is it wrong if I want to pursue my happiness?” Andrew asked.

“The dead cannot be brought back.

As the son of death, you should know that better than anyone else.” Aliya said but even she knew that there was nothing to be done.

Andrew was too far gone for reasoning.

The only way left for her was to stop Andrew.

The hard way of course since talking was never going to work.

Andrew looked at Aliya, what he needed in his hands as he said, “I still have to try.” “You know what you have to do, right?

What happened to you, Andrew?

When did you become this?” Aliya asked.

“When my own brother murdered the love of my life,” Andrew replied before he just stopped talking.

Talking wasn’t going to do anything anymore.

Nothing was going to do anything anymore.

“Get out of my way,” Andrew said.

“No.” Aliya simply replied.

“You think you can stop me, a Smith when you have nothing but a borrowed name?” Andrew said as tendrils of lightning began to emit from his body.

“True.

I am adopted and not a true Smith.

But do you who I am then?

I am the daughter of the man who could go toe to toe against death.

What makes you think you can get out of this alive?” Aliya wasn’t offended by Andrew’s words and asked.

Andrew burst into lightning and appeared behind Aliya, about to attack her and pierce her heart with lightning when he was struck by an unseen force and thrown back, going through the walls of the building before he came into the open air.

Before he could even compose himself, he saw a pair of red glowing eyes in front of him when a foot was lodged into the side of his neck, throwing him far away to the ground.

Crackle!

He turned into lightning once again before he hit the ground and appeared somewhere above the ground but he still couldn’t escape the red eyes that appeared in front of him and grabbed him by his neck.

“Kugh!” He tried to resist, tried to burst into lightning but he could do nothing.

The grip on his neck wasn’t even strong.

It was a soft grip yet even though he expended every bit of power in his cells, he couldn’t free himself from Aliya’s hold.

“You know what I liked about Andrew?” Aliya asked before he slammed him into the ground and stomped his stomach with her foot, breaking the ground beneath Andrew and crushing his insides.

She once again bent down and grabbed him by his leg before she spun him around and threw him away while she said, “Nothing.” Before Andrew could fly anywhere, Aliya appeared on top of him and punched him in his stomach, throwing him down on a cliff, and breaking everything in the path.

“Since the day you walked into my life, I’ve hated you.

Do you know why?” She slowly approached him before she pressed her foot on his hand.

“Arrgghh!!!” Andrew grunted in pain, massive pain actually.

He tried to resist, he tried to put power into his limbs but whatever he did came back negative.

He was powerless.

“You made him choose.

Between me and you.

He never had a choice before, it was always me.” Aliya once again grabbed him by his throat and lifted him up.

“But you made him choose.” Andrew was once again struck by an unseen force and was thrown miles away when he was stopped by a hand on his back.

Aliya was already there and stopped his advent, “When that bit*h finally died, I thought finally he was mine but then no, you showed up.

I wasn’t important anymore.” Aliya slammed him into the ground, face down before she skidded his face across the ground to scrape it off the ground.

She stopped before she raised him and came face to face with him and asked, “Tell me, Andrew, how am I supposed to feel anything good for you after that?” She slammed him again before she threw him up in the air, but once again, she up before Andrew and she grabbed him by his throat.

“Tell me, why should I feel anything for you when you have taken something important from me?” By now Andrew was bloodied and bruised but he knew.

He knew that Aliya wasn’t really hitting him.

She was hurting him, but all of that was surface pain.

“I know what you’re thinking.

I could have killed you in one blow then why am I torturing you with these easy blows?” Aliya let go of Andrew who succumbed to the gravity and could only go for one place, the ground.

However, just before he hit the ground, he turned into lightning and made it miles away from the place.

No matter how fast Aliya was, she wasn’t faster than lightning.

Alas, he was dead wrong.

Just as he materialized, a hand grabbed him by his throat and this time, the hand wasn’t holding him softly.

This time, the grip was deadly.

“I’m hitting you lightly because I want you to feel pain.

I don’t want your pain to end in one hit, I want to extend it to thousands.” Aliya said with a charming but maniacal smile.

But suddenly, she let go of him, just before he was about to die.

She let him fall to the ground before she said while throwing something at him, “But if I kill you now, he will hate me forever.

So it’s better to just show him what a monster you will become so he would be the one to finish you himself.” Saying her piece, Aliya turned and began to walk away while leaving with last parting words, “Enjoy your resurrection, Andrew.

Because you might need it when he finds out.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Bad_Wolf_7811 Creation is hard, cheer me up!
