267: Who are they?

267: Who are they?

Chapter 267 “Where is he?” Andrew asked Aliya as soon as he entered her office.

“Stay away from him.” Aliya simply said.

“He’s my brother,” Andrew replied to that requestcommand.

“I know.

That’s the sole reason I tolerate you.” Aliya replied.

Andrew didn’t mind.

He knew she wasn’t in a good mood and neither was he.

They were both having troubles of their own and they all revolved around one person.

“What did Dad mean when he asked me to love the right person?” Andrew asked, “What did Gabriel do that was so bad?” “Why can’t you just stop talking about her?!” Aliya yelled as her eyes began to turn red, a terrifying power began to bend the space around her.

“Her?” Andrew, however, wasn’t very fazed.

He wasn’t afraid of Aliya because she wasn’t much stronger than him.

Or at least that was what he thought.

“So to you, this is all about your love?

Does he not matter?” Andrew asked.

He wasn’t very perceptive but even he could tell what kind of look Aliya had and since he was familiar with that look, he also knew what the story was.

“Of course, I care!” Aliya stood up and said as she slammed the table and tore it in half.

Yeah, tore, not broke, because of how effortlessly it was done.

“I’m the only one who does care!

He doesn’t even care about himself and I care!

That’s all I’ve ever done!

CARE!” The power around Aliya wasn’t spiraling out of control.

It was getting denser and denser.

“Yet that bit*h always somehow comes back.

Her name somehow pops up and it messes up his life all over again.

Why can’t everybody just forget about her?!!!” Aliya finally couldn’t take it anymore and yelled, so much so that the entire building shook.

Andrew worriedly looked around.

He was afraid something he might not be able to control was about to happen soon enough.

Just as it looked like his hunch was about to come true, the door to Aliya’s office opened and a stunning but domineering blue-eyed woman entered.

When Andrew saw her, he couldn’t help but lower his head.

It was none other than his father’s wife.

As far as he was aware, the legitimate one.

“Leave us.” The woman said and Andrew hurriedly complied.

Andrew left and the woman turned to Aliya who was now trying to calm herself.

The cold expression on the woman’s face melted, replaced by one full of love as she worriedly made her way to her daughter to console her.

~ Just like that, a few weeks passed.

The hectic atmosphere at the Smith Enterprises passed.

Gabriel returned after a few days, he faced punishment from his mother for making Aliya worried and also making her cry which made Gabriel cry, literally.

Gabriel and Andrew apologized to each other but some awkwardness still remained.

After all, they both had done something very uncharacteristic of each other.

Gabriel had speared someone who had harmed children for the first time and Andrew had let someone die for the first time.

Of course, it would be awkward between them.

However, today, Gabriel had come down to relive that awkwardness.

He was there to run the monthly brotherly ritual.

Monster trucks.

“Can’t,” Andrew replied which left Gabriel with a mopey expression as he said, “Oh, come on!

You can’t still be going on about that guy!” “I’m not.” Andrew replied, “I’m going on a date with Julie tonight.” “Seriously?

You would rather go on a date with a woman who you will spend the rest of your life anyway than go monster trucking with your brother?” Gabriel argued.

“Hmm…” Andrew hummed before he raised both his hands and opened his palms, “Let me see, a very romantic date with a very pretty girl,” He waved his right hand and then waved his left hand, “And watching giant trucks bash into each other with a loudmouth.” “I can see how the choice can be obvious,” Gabriel said while giving in to the argument but he made his own point, “But you have the rest of your life to spend with her anyway.

I’m your brother only until you get married.” “I’ll always be stuck with you.” Andrew countered.

“Now you just sound like that’s a bad thing,” Gabriel said, clearly offended.

“I want to say it isn’t, but it is,” Andrew said without any guilt and left while Gabriel was left alone with an angry expression.

In the end, Gabriel sighed and made his way to the only person who was left to go trucking with him.

He knew Aliya didn’t like monster trucks but she might change her view this time around.

As they say, the thirteenth time’s the charm.

~ “I don’t see it,” Aliya said as she saw the madness around her.

Not in the arena, where some monster trucks were ramming into each other, but around her.

Around her lay the injured, broken, and mangled bodies of all those who tried to hit on her, and no, they weren’t hurt by Gabriel.

They were hurt by her while Gabriel watched the race of the monster trucks against time while bashing into one another like an excited five years old.

“You will, one day,” Gabriel replied.

Aliya smiled when she saw his excited expression and just shook her head.

She returned her attention back to the race to see if she could see some, if not any point of it.

But that was when she saw a person on the other side of the arena.

A familiar person.

But that wasn’t what intrigued her.

What intrigued, but then shocked her was the blonde woman next to that person.

“Gabe,” She called Gabriel who was sitting next to her, still too busy with his own excitement.

“What?” Gabriel asked.

“Look over there,” She asked.

Gabriel did just that and when he saw what, or who, Aliya was pointing at.

Gabriel’s eyes widened to the point as anger began to flow through them, “How dare he!” “Gabe,” Aliya tried to calm him down to show him the real point of it but Gabriel was too focused on the other part.

“Andrew!” Gabriel stood up and yelled.

Now his voice should have drowned in the loud noises in the place, and it did, but Andrew could have even heard a whisper of his name, so a loud shout, let alone from a familiar voice was loud and clear to him.

He froze and turned his attention to the place where Gabriel’s voice came from.

“You!” Gabriel shouted again, “Yeah!

You!

You can forget about coffee from now on!

You traitor!” Andrew panicked and without another thought, he grabbed Julie’s hand and lightning flashed in their place a second later after which, they were both long gone from their place.

Gabriel was about to chase after them when Aliya stopped him.

“No.

Let me go.

I’m gonna teach him a lesson.” Gabriel said.

“Gabriel listen to me!” Aliya yelled which successfully grabbed Gabriel’s attention and he asked, “What?” “I can’t see it.” She said.

“Can’t see what?” Gabriel asked.

“Future.

I can’t see her future.” Aliya hurriedly replied.

“Her?” Gabriel was confused because the only person Aliya couldn’t see the future of was Andrew.

What did she mean by ‘her’?

“The girl with Andrew,” Aliya replied since she didn’t know who Julie was but she could guess who it was now.

“What?

How’s that possible?” Gabriel was more confused but he couldn’t arrive at an answer.

“I can’t see her future.

But I can see her in yours.” Aliya said and before Gabriel could ask anything, Aliya continued, “And I saw you…” ~ Zip!

Gabriel appeared in front of the elevator which led to his father’s office.

In front of the elevator, four individuals who stopped Andrew stood.

“My apologies, Prince.” The woman among them spoke, “But you cannot go up.” “Out of my way, Mikaylah,” Gabriel said, not a happy expression on his face.

“I can’t do that, Prince,” Mikaylah replied.

Gabriel closed his eyes momentarily to calm himself.

The next time he opened them, they were shining brightly and there was nothing but stillness in those shiny eyes.

“I won’t say it again,” Gabriel said, “Move.” Mikaylah’s eyes began to turn dark as well, as well as the man behind her.

While the other two men, standing on the left side, their eyes began to glow golden like fire.

“I see,” Gabriel replied before he took a step forward.

~ Ding.

The elevator door opened which led to a dark room.

Gabriel entered the room and dusted his jacket as if cleaning any dirt on it.

He saw his father sitting in his usual spot, looking outside the window, at the city that never slept.

“I thought I left them there so they wouldn’t let you guys disturb my peace time,” Bruce said, referring to his guards who were down in the lobby, injured and passed out.

“Yeah, they managed to buy you 29 seconds of peace,” Gabriel said with a cold glint in his eyes.

“Haha.” Bruce let out a short laugh before he said, “That’s my son.

Not even the strongest predators and the dragonkin can stop you.” “Who’s Julie?” Gabriel asked.

“She’s Andrew’s fiancée, as far as I remember,” Bruce said while feigning ignorance.

“Then let me rephrase my question,” Gabriel said as he took a step forward, a powerful bright glow emitting from his body while lighting up the dark office but not just that, it lighted up the entire night sky.

He took another step and the building began to shake under the pressure of his power, threatening to destroy everything, “Who is Andrew?” Bruce smiled, as a dark power, enchanting to look at, began to emit from him as well.

It was nothing flashy like Gabriel’s, but it was way more dangerous than anything Gabriel had, “Why don’t you make me answer, son?” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Bad_Wolf_7811 Creation is hard, cheer me up!
