251: Mission 251: Mission Chapter 251 Assimilation.

A simple process of becoming something itself.

For example, my assimilation with life and death made me everything they truly were.

For example, assimilation with life made it harder for me to die.

All the skills in my possession thanks to the element of life raise my chances of surviving, making it harder for me to die.

But life ends in the end.

So even if assimilation with life makes me younger, almost eternal, the keyword of almost remained the same.

That was where the element of death came in.

Not this vessel, but my original body was already assimilated with the element of death with my father being death and all.

So although this vessel of mine wasn’t eternal, my original body was eternal.

And yes, by eternal, I mean immortal.

Eventually, assimilation with death would make this vessel immortal as well.

But let us not talk about these elements for a minute.

These were major elements, the mommy and daddy of all elements in creation.

It was out of the question for the people, normal people, even my mother to assimilate with these elements.

But let us go lower for now.

To the level of the normal people.

Normal but talented people.

It was a very difficult task to assimilate with elements.

Any of them, let alone fully reach assimilation.

It was even more flabbergasting because I was teaching Rose to assimilate herself with lightning.

No.

I was simply teaching her to make the movements of lightning fluid.

However, Rose didn’t just do that.

No.

She went beyond that.

Way, way beyond that.

[Your party member Rose Roosevelt is now level 329] [Assimilation with the element of thunder at 100%] If Sirius had a heart attack earlier, now he would lose it because here was not only an S rank student, but one that was lightning itself.

Rose sat on the floor, cross-legged and her eyes closed.

Her tremendous mana wasn’t just mana anymore.

It was lightning.

The tendrils of lightning surrounded the entire room.

I had to protect the five in the back so they wouldn’t be harmed by this.

Her hair raised and her entire body emitting blue lightning, she looked like someone straight out of a fantasy.

This wasn’t just talent anymore.

It went beyond that.

Eric was talented.

Alex was talented.

Rose wasn’t just talented.

It was entirely something else.

It wasn’t long before what was emitting from Rose wasn’t mana anymore.

It was lightning itself.

Pure, destructive lightning.

Sting.

When one fell on me, it stung even me.

Me.

The body that could endure even the attacks from the divine rank blessed was stung by a tendril of lightning from Rose.

Forget it.

I was just going to teach this monster the entire authority of lightning.

And then… Then even more.

****************** “Calm down.” A beautiful blonde woman said to a pacing Alastair.

The woman’s beauty was enough to charm hundreds of men and have them do her bidding.

And her most striking feature, her elongated ears added another charm to her.

“I can’t,” Alastair replied.

“This is a joyous occasion and you are spoiling it by worrying about something out of your control.” The woman stood up and said as she made her way to Alastair and put a stop to his pacing.

“Come here.” The woman led Alastair to the bed holding his hands with hers and sat down on the bed with Alastair.

“The Saintess wouldn’t let him die.

They need him more than you think.” The woman gently explained to Alastair before she grabbed his hand and guided it to her stomach and said, “Go ahead.

Calm yourself with this heartbeat.” Alastair melted as he put his hand on the woman’s slightly swollen stomach.

A clear sign of her pregnancy.

As he felt the heartbeat of another, other than the woman, he felt calm and at ease.

His bubbling anger subsided as he couldn’t help but chuckle at the sensation.

“Have you thought of a name for him?” The woman asked.

“What if it’s a ‘her’?” Alastair asked with a smile.

“Then have you thought a name for both cases?” The woman asked.

Alastair thought for a few moments before he said, “I haven’t thought of a name in case it is a boy, but if it is a girl, I am going to name her after my aunt.” The smile on the woman’s face hardened as she asked, “The Saintess of darkness.” “Mhm.” Alastair nodded.

He knew what worried the woman so he explained, “She loved me like her own child, Nyla.

I never felt the absence of a mother in her presence.

But father…” Alastair paused, emotional momentarily before he resumed, “He tore this family apart for his own selfish reasons.” “She fell in love with a human, Alastair.” Nyla said before she continued, “And not just any human.

The strongest human and the holy Saint of light.” It was a major issue for the demon empire.

The fact that the princess of the demon empire and more importantly, the Dark Sanitess, fell in love with the prince of the Cortum empire, the blood enemy of the demon empire, not to mention the status of the prince as the Holy Saint.

The backlash alone was massive.

The world was glad it didn’t lead to a war.

But the destruction the couple caused, both in the Demon empire and Cortum empire, was more than enough to warn the entire world that they were not to be trifled with.

But Alastair knew the real reason behind his aunt’s betrayal like that.

He knew how his father treated Alastair’s aunt, his own sister.

She wasn’t the liberated Saintess as everyone assumed her to be.

No.

She was a prisoner and had she not been chosen as the Dark Saint, she would have remained a prisoner her entire life.

Alastair was glad she broke every relationship with his father and ran away with her dream prince.

The man who was willing to fight and cripple his own family for her was the greatest man she could have ever asked for.

Alastair had only ever seen her expression happy when she was with him, or with the man from the Cortum empire.

That day she left, she had the happiest expression on her face.

For Alastair, only two people had been important to him all his life.

One, his uncle, who was more of a father to him than his actual father, and his aunt, who never let him feel that he didn’t have a mother.

And now, one of them was gone while one of them was on the verge of death.

And the worst part about all of that was that he couldn’t do anything about it.

Nyla could tell what was going through his fiancée’s head so she stroked his head and said, “We shall name them after whoever you want.” Alastair smiled and pulled his fiancée in for a kiss.

As Alastair pulled away, he saw the sweetest smile on her face which made him happy as well.

As they were talking to each other, the door of Alastair’s room opened and a servant entered.

When Alastair saw someone enter without properly announcing anything, he got mad and was about to lash out when Nyla held his hand and said, “Calm down.” Alastair stopped, took a deep breath, and nodded before he turned to the servant and asked “What is the meaning of this disrespect?” The servant trembled and said, “My lord, the lord of all demons, the demon emperor wishes to see you in the allied meeting room.” “Tell him I am engaged elsewhere,” Alastair said and gestured for her to leave.

“But…” The servant wanted to say something when Nyla spoke, “You may leave.

I will have him attend the meeting.” The servant bowed and left.

As for Alastair, he turned to Nyla and said, “I don’t want to go.” “Go now.

You need to work for the empire as well.” Nyla said to the unreasonable Alastair who didn’t want to go.

Seeing his fiancée like that, he sighed and although unwilling, he still left for the meeting after kissing her.

After a few moments, he was in front of the meeting room.

Without further ado, he opened the door and entered.

With serious faces, everyone sat inside.

All the seats for the representatives were filled.

Six figures with burnt faces who Alastair was quite familiar with.

However, the last person, the newcomer to the meeting was someone he was familiar with as well.

Only, he was surprised to see that person there.

The vampire king, Vermont Siren.

Before Alastair could express his surprise at the presence of someone at the level of his father, Astaroth said, “Now that you’re here, let us begin in earnest.” “What is happening?” Alastair asked.

In earnest meant it was something important and Alastair wasn’t usually included in anything important at the protest of the other races.

“The time for the mission has come.

“Astaroth said before he turned to Alastair and said, “You will be entering the ‘Dungeon of Diamonds’ with us.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Bad_Wolf_7811 Creation is hard, cheer me up!
