The Archangel of Death - Chapter 246
246: To the point of death 246: To the point of death Chapter 246 “Uhhh… Darling, have we done something wrong?” Laura asked me as she fidgeted nervously.
Not just her, the rest were also trembling as if scared.
Asmara, a newcomer, was a little bit confused by their demeanor but she didn’t speak.
Her presence earned me some nasty stares but now wasn’t the time to punish me.
Now was the time for them to put their all in.
“Why?
Have you done something wrong?” I asked as I put on my gloves.
“Not that I recall.
Or are you angry about my earlier remark?” Laura asked, her nervousness increasing for some reason.
“No,” I replied as I put on my helmet as well.
“Then why are you dressing up like that?” Sophien asked.
I don’t know why she was scared.
She hadn’t even trained with me yet.
Or maybe she heard some stories.
“Ahh… Your Highness…” Max nervously called me.
If there was anyone trembling more than the girls, then it was this dude.
“What?” I asked.
“Can I take a leave today?
I’m not feeling very well.” He said.
[Breath of Life] I cast the breath of life on him without another word and said, “There.
Even if you had lost an arm, it would have been healed with that.” Since the [Breath of Life] was an upgraded version of all types of heals, it contained powerful regenerative abilities.
Not to the extent of the actual regeneration itself, but still, it could easily do the regeneration on par with [Moon shift vitality].
Max remained silent at my word and I finally finished dressing up.
“Rose, your role is to dodge.
Each hit increases all of your training duration by one hour.
The same goes for all of you.
You fail to complete your assigned task; you all suffer together.” I said.
There was about to be some grumbling but just one stare from me shut everyone who was about to say anything.
“Max, you dodge even once, one hour of training.
Laura, you failed to hit me ten times in ten minutes, training increases by one hour.
The same goes for Alicia and Sophien.” I assigned the rest of their tasks as well.
I finally turned to Asmara and said, “Go in that corner and practice sword slash.
A straight sword slash.
It isn’t straight, you start again from the bottom.” “How many?” Asmara asked with a disappointed look.
Of course, as a swordsman, she must have done that routine.
“A hundred?
A thousand?” She asked.
“For now let’s do a hundred thousand and move on from there,” I said which widened her eyes.
“Bu–” She was about to protest when I shot her a look as well.
She also clamped her mouth shut and made her way to the corner quietly with her sword.
“Where are you going?” I asked.
“What?
You asked me t–” she replied but I interrupted her, “Did I say with that sword?” I purchased a simple, heavy, and blunt sword from the shop that only cost me one thousand coins because of how useless it was.
I threw the sword at her once the purchase was complete.
She caught it from the handle but as soon as she did, her arms went down with the sword, attracted by the gravity.
Oh, did I mention it was heavy?
I think I did.
“Use that sword.
I want a perfect hundred thousand straight sword slashes by the end of today.” I said.
Asmara, although she wanted to complain, didn’t speak.
[Her body’s more honest when it comes to fear of you] She obediently dragged the sword to a corner but she still couldn’t lift it up.
Well, I didn’t expect her to complete the slashes and it would be a miracle if she could get used to the weight by the end of the week.
I turned to the rest and pulled out five heavy metal full body armor from the inventory, tossed them in front of all of them, and said “Put them on.” The girls and Max looked at me with pleading eyes but I remained stoic and said, “The last one to put them on receives extra attention from me.” A world record for putting on armor was set as soon as the sentence left my mouth.
I wonder what scared them so much.
“Sophien was the last to put it on.
She deserves some extra love from me.” I said.
“Ah, I don’t mi… mind if you give some attention to others as well.
How about Max?” Sophien nervously chuckled and asked.
“Unfortunately, I’m not into men,” I replied.
Sophien gulped while Max heaved a heavy sigh of relief.
I sighed and without a warning, moved.
I appeared before Max and before he could react, I punched him in the stomach.
It must have hurt a lot given he fell on his knees and clenched his stomach.
“Good job.
You did exactly as I asked.” I said before turning to the rest and making my intentions clear, “We’re not playing here.
I’m going to beat all of you half, no, I’m going to beat all of you until you’re almost dead.” I disappeared again and appeared before Rose.
As expected of Rose, she was able to follow my move.
However, her body could react in time due to her heavy armor and I punched her in the stomach as well.
Instead of falling on her knees, she flew away and slammed into the wall.
The rest, seeing her fate tried to react but they were hit as well as similarly like her, flew away and slammed into the wall.
“Max did all right.
But Rose’s blunder cost you one hour.
The rest of you better pick up the pace.
If not, we will be having three more hours on our hands.” I said as I took a step forward while everyone still remained on the floor, clutching their stomachs.
[Breath of Life x5] I used the skill on all of them so they would at least stop clutching their stomachs.
As soon as the pain stopped, Rose was the first one to move.
Almost instantly, she used her power of lightning and was before me.
But, I was faster.
A spinning kick to her stomach once again and she was once again thrown away to the other side of the room.
But this time she left a bloody trail behind.
She was bleeding from her stomach.
[Breath of life] Her internal injuries healed before she even hit the wall as soon as she did, she burst into another shot of lightning and was before me in the blink of an eye.
“Funny thing about lightning,” I said as I effortlessly grabbed her by her neck before she could make a move on me.
“It’s always so linear,” I said while slamming her on the floor, hurting her once again.
I picked her up and threw her away and turned to the other beauties who were still in shock at my treatment of them.
“If you stay like this on a battlefield,” I said as I appeared before Laura and punched her, blowing her away before I did the same with Sophien who was closer, “Then you’re going to die before you even get a chance.” Sophien tried to move her feet but it wasn’t enough.
She wasn’t fast enough.
She couldn’t dodge nor could she block and she, just like Laura, also joined her in kissing the wall.
Alicia, however, wasn’t like them.
She used the opportunity I was busy with Sophien and launched herself at me.
So did Rose and Max.
I simply waved my hand and just the pressure from my wave pushed her away.
As for Max, he was able to endure but not so much.
Rose was the only one who wasn’t affected by my wave.
It wasn’t just a casual wave of my hand.
It was serious.
Just because it didn’t have any ethereal power behind it, didn’t mean it didn’t contain my physical might.
My physical body was just as strong as my soul power or the system’s MP.
Rose wasn’t blown away but she wasn’t completely fine either.
Her momentum was broken which delayed her movement.
Just by enough that I could get another hit in and blast her away.
“Is that all?” In just a minute, everyone was once again lying on the floor, injured and in pain.
[Breath of Life x5] To be honest, I was quite disappointed.
I wasn’t using anything special at all yet everyone was out of it in just a minute.
What if they were to face someone like me?
Would they just die like that?
[I doubt they would ever be facing someone like you] [But I get your point] Exactly.
Sure there wasn’t another like me out there.
In this world at least.
But that didn’t mean they wouldn’t come across a threat that could easily snuff their life out of them and they wouldn’t even know it.
“Get up.
We’re not done yet.” I said as all five of them slowly stood up, staring at each other.
They nodded and got into stance.
Well, that was the first step.
Eventually, they might be able to lose their fear of facing me.
[Or fear more] Well, that, my dear Allison, only time would tell.
