The Archangel of Death - Chapter 234
234: A glimpse of the past (1) 234: A glimpse of the past (1) Chapter 234 Alvira.
A name that haunts me to this day.
The name of someone very precious to me.
There weren’t many people in my life like that.
My parents were a given and Aliyah, my adoptive sister.
My fourteen masters.
My first crush and a good friend.
My girlfriend and finally, my brother.
That was the total number of people I cared for in my world.
But out of my world, there were still not many people I cared for.
My first disciple from the world of martial arts, Yu Jin Zaha.
The one who went down the wrong path after he lost some people precious to him.
My second disciple.
My only disciple who used to call me father as well.
My third disciple, Alex.
The one whose talent was not a blessing but a curse for him.
And finally, my granddaughter from my second disciple.
A sweet, sweet girl who used to follow me everywhere.
I had a soft spot for her as well and out of all the children of my second disciple, I favored her the most.
Probably because she was his only daughter.
Talent wise, she was greater than any other.
Not greater than Alex or Rose, but she was still talented enough to reach SS rank by the age of nine by this world’s standards.
And that wasn’t all.
She learned from me personally.
My disciples never learned anything from me.
I only guided them down the correct path and offered them instructions when they got stuck.
But not her.
She learned my power.
The power of life.
And she was amazing at it.
However, she was killed in the end.
‘When power reaches too high a place, the others start getting wary of you.’ My father used to say.
The kingdom of angels got so strong for its own good that the entire world banded together to get rid of it.
And the one who founded the kingdom of angels was none other than my second disciple.
With me as the guardian of that kingdom, none in the world could defy them.
They were inevitable.
They were inexcusable rulers of that world.
And that was what caused their downfall.
I understood what happened and why it happened.
But that didn’t mean that it was any easier for me.
It was hard to hold myself in.
so much so that the entire world paid for their crimes that night.
The havoc I brought was something even the day of judgment wouldn’t have brought.
I imprisoned the humans in an alternate pocket dimension.
Their kids to be more precise.
I killed all the elders.
I cursed the vampires with the curse of the sun and werewolves with the curse of the moon.
I cursed every other race in any way I could.
Only their youngsters though.
As the older ones were all killed without exception.
Even in all that, I never killed children or innocents.
My father placed his hand on my shoulder and told me he was proud of me.
I couldn’t protect my family yet he was proud of me.
He was proud that I didn’t forget who I was even in my unbridled anger.
Because if it was him, he would have destroyed everything in his sight.
But for me, it was never easy even with that praise.
So I buried it deep.
So deep that it wouldn’t even surface even if I ever tried to unconsciously remember that name.
But all my efforts were useless.
It was very easy for the name to resurface.
[You have obtained Alvira’s blessing] [Effects would be applied] [All stats +500] [Dimensional limit lifted upon equipment activation] My eyes were wide.
But I wasn’t that stoned that I would forget about the imminent threat approaching.
That was my curse.
A great mind.
Never easy to forget anything but never difficult to move on as well.
I raised the sword that I was slowly becoming familiar with.
I raised it and brought it down simply.
************** Boom!
A shockwave emitted from Adrian and traveled in the direction of the orc.
The orc who was slowly walking in the student’s direction hurriedly raised his sword as its instincts screamed at him.
It was pushed back by a lot just from that simple swing.
It moved its giant sword and looked at the white-haired boy who had a panicked expression on his face earlier.
But now, that face had only one thing.
Coldness.
So much so that the orc felt a chill deep down to its soul.
Its instincts screamed at it to run away.
It wasn’t just him.
Everyone behind Adrian was frozen in place.
Fear greater than any other gripped at their hearts and threatened to squeeze the life out of it if they were to even more just a little.
Adrian raised his sword once again.
The orc stepped back.
Adrian didn’t move, he just kept his hand in the air along with the sword.
In fear, the orc stepped back once again.
It was then that Adrian brought the sword down once again.
The orc brought all the mythical power inside of him and poured it into the giant battle axe to block that hit.
Zing!!!
It trembled.
The axe of the orc trembled so much that the orc fell on its knees trying to hold on to that pressure.
But it still wasn’t enough.
Adrian once again raised his sword in the air.
Keeping it there once again.
This time, however, the orc didn’t hesitate.
He turned around and ran to where he came from.
The broken wall.
As for Adrian, he didn’t bring his sword down this time.
He moved it a little.
It wasn’t just a movement.
It was a motion.
In a fashion that was clear and precise.
He slashed the sword, and a white line came to form but it remained in place.
He did it again from the other side and then vertically and horizontally until there were seven lines, floating in the midair.
Then those lines began to merge and spin at a fast pace.
So much so that the speed made it look like a circle of white light.
The light emitted from the circle threatened to consume everything in the cave.
No corner was left with darkness.
Everything was illuminated.
No sign of darkness remained but that wasn’t all.
Soon enough, space also began to bend and distort.
The power emitted from the circle was enough to instill the fear of death in everyone’s heart.
However, it wasn’t death they feared.
It was the silent pressure being emitted from Adrian that suffocated and threatened to sniff the life out of everyone.
All they could see was his back yet they were so far gone.
If they were like that, they could only imagine what the orc was going through who was facing Adrian’s direct pressure.
It was frozen stiff.
All efforts to run away were abandoned.
There was no running from there.
Its death was certain.
And it had wisely accepted it.
“Divine demon sword art.” “Moon of destruction.” And then everything was illuminated with so much bright light that everything was consumed in it.
The students lost their consciousness and as for the orc.
Well, it was consumed by the light and what happened to it after that, no one knew except Adrian and no one ever came to know.
The blinding light began to die down shortly afterward.
And after a few minutes, it was gone.
As for Adrian, he just stood there, with Eric’s sword in his hand and his head down.
No apparent expression on his face.
He didn’t even react when the sword left his hand on its own and a barrage of notification appeared in his view.
********** Asmara and the rest woke up after a day of unconsciousness.
Asmara was the first one to wake up and the one to follow her was Sera.
Sasha and the others were awakened by Sera after that.
As for Asmara, she saw Adrian sitting on a rock, his head down and hair around his face so she couldn’t see what his face was like.
However, there were some wet spots on the ground below.
She figured out what was happening so she didn’t disturb him.
“I’m not that weak, you know,” Adrian said.
“I know,” Asmara replied.
“Then why are you standing there all quiet?” Adrian asked.
“Because you’re human,” Asmara replied.
“Haha.” Adrian chuckled as he raised his head and looked at her, his flawless face with some tear stains on his cheeks as he said, “I guess you’re right.
Since I’m human, weakness will always be a part of me.” “Not like you didn’t know that,” Asmara said.
“I did.” Adrian said as he wiped his face clean before he added, “But I didn’t know it was this shi*ty.” “Life is,” Asmara said.
“Mhm,” Adrian said and stood up.
He made his way to the group, followed by Asmara, and said just this, “From now on, I’m taking over.
Whoever objects….” Adrian said the last word with a beautiful smile, “Dies.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Bad_Wolf_7811 Creation is hard, cheer me up!
