The Archangel of Death - Chapter 192
192: Abduction (1) 192: Abduction (1) Chapter 192 As Adrian raised his head, and a face with a charming smile that held amusement was revealed, all of the people, even Wesley and Brittney couldn’t help but feel confused.
“Ahh… so fun.
I mean, you guys are so predictable, so gullible.
I acted a little distraught, some fake sounds, and all of you, even those who wanted me to fall, fell for my act.
I mean, how can a person be this stupid?
How did you get your positions?
How did you all manage to live for so long?” Adrian brought down insult after insult to the people who still hadn’t gotten past the fact that Adrian wasn’t sobbing but laughing.
Once they did, and properly processed Adrian’s words, their anger was something that could be felt throughout the room as Otto, a head professor said, “I hope you have said your peace.
Because you’re not getting out of here alive.” Otto’s mana came crashing down on Adrian, the mana of an S+ ranked blessed was not something dismissive and could kill a supposed B rank easily.
However, under all that pressure, Adrian simply chuckled and waved his hand.
The soul power, one of the strongest powers in existence manifested that no one could feel and erased all the pressure from Otto.
As the mana dissipated, everyone was confused.
Had Otto taken mercy on the young soul?
No that wasn’t it.
Otto wasn’t a kindhearted guy.
He wasn’t going to kill an imperial family member but given his position, his position and support of Wesley, he could injure one and that was exactly what he planned to do.
However, none of that happened.
The mana simply dissipated.
And Adrian’s hand wave wasn’t subtle so everyone has seen it.
If, and a big if, Adrian was the one who did that so casually, then there was a problem at their hands.
What was nonsensical in the first place was now a little bit sure because of what had just happened.
However, before anyone could ponder on it, Adrian spoke, “Judge me?
All of you?
Don’t joke with me.” The scorn in Adrian’s voice was visible to everyone clearly but that wasn’t all.
He still had more to say, “Look at you all, talking about justice and sh*t when you couldn’t even bring justice to a helpless mother.
The death of an innocent girl is not important but a few lowlifes die and your sense of justice is blaring.” “Fu*k off.
I don’t answer to any of you.” Adrian said his piece and went silent.
He coldly kept his gaze straight, looking at his ‘judges’ deep into their eyes.
“Does that mean you confess?” Wesley, who didn’t care about anything so he wasn’t affected by Adrian’s words spoke.
“I don’t know.
You tell me.” Adrian countered but looked at Abigail this time before he added, “Was anything I said false?” Abigail didn’t reply.
She was too confused, ashamed, and angered at what was happening.
However, from what she picked up, Adrian was telling the truth.
The expression on her face said so.
What was the truth?
What one believed to be real and Adrian believed them all of be hypocrites and it was the truth to Adrian and he truly believed so what Abigail picked was also true from Adrian’s point of view.
“Give a straight answer, were you the one who did this or not?” Wesley now was very annoyed so he said in a loud voice.
The others weren’t doing so well either.
Adrian chuckled and said, “You want the truth, well, here’s the truth.” “The one who planted the corrupted core in the dungeon during the tournament to deform it was Otto.” Adrian said an entirely irrelevant thing and added, “And he added it according to your instructions.” Wesley was taken aback while Adrian turned to Abigail and asked, “Well, is it true, Abby?” “What nonsense is this?!!!” Otto yelled as he slammed his hands on the table and stood up, his mana once again reaching the peak before it was canceled by Desmond who stood up and said, “Shut up and sit down.” Otto didn’t say, or rather, he couldn’t, another word as the mana of SS+ rank fell on his shoulders.
He felt weak, as if he was in the presence of a dragon while he was just a cat, trying to intimidate a mouse.
“Abigail, if you lied and delivered a wrong statement to everything I am about to say, I will reveal your collusion with Count Exelor,” Adrian said while ignoring the rest of the drama.
Abigail became frightened.
Although Adrian’s words were a clear suggestion that there was something going on between Abigail and Count Exelor but the real truth was far worse than any of them could imagine.
“Let’s do a test run, shall we?
Sylvester likes men.” Adrian began and said.
Immediately, Abigail spoke, “Truth.” “Good job.
Now, Otto and Wesley are allies.” Adrian said.
“True.” Abigail swiftly replied.
“Thaler has been bedding Coleman’s wife,” Adrian said once again.
“True,” Adrian said.
“Coleman has a forbidden relationship with his sister.
Gross.” Adrian said next.
“True.” Came another swift reply.
“Last but not least, Otto has gifted a wine to Sirius, the headmaster of this academy, that is laced with Hydra’s poison,” Adrian said finally, a piece of information that widened everyone’s eyes.
It was too much information in thirty seconds but the last bit of information was something that couldn’t be taken easily.
It was different from adultery or having a forbidden relationship.
It was treason of the highest order.
Chaos erupted as multiple waves of mana shrouded the room.
Michelle hurriedly protected Eric and Sera but she wasn’t protecting them from these mana waves.
She was protecting them for an even more terrifying one to come.
For some reason, she didn’t worry about Adrian and just focused on Eric and Sera.
And, the mana wave higher than any other in the room erupted, and no one was spared.
Wesley and Brittney were inevitable, even the other head professors, except for one who was neutral in all of this scenario, fell to their knees and their legs buckled under the pressure.
Even Adrian, who could remove an S+ rank mana wave nonchalantly was using his soul power constantly to dispel the pressure from Desmond’s mana wave.
And the worst part was that the pressure from Desmond’s mana only seemed to be increasing as Wesley and Brittney were bleeding from their mouth and even their eyes began to bleed.
“DESMOND!!!” Michelle shouted to make Desmond stop but he wasn’t listening to her.
It was becoming increasingly harder for her to resist the increasing pressure from Desmond.
Adrian saw the whole scene while still seated comfortably in his chair.
He smirked at the power display and how everyone was helpless against the power of such a scale.
“ENOUGH!” However, the entertaining scene came to a halt when a voice shouted and a powerful wave of mana swept through the surroundings, canceling Desmond’s and knocking almost everyone out.
Only Michelle, barely, Eric, and Sera, thanks to Michelle, Desmond, and Adrian, who had finally expended half of his soul power to just deal with the last wave, managed to regain their consciousness.
“Desmond!
You of all people should know how to act!” Sirius didn’t sound happy by the fact that Desmond was angered for Sirius.
However, it was true that that didn’t change the fact that Desmond lost control of his emotions while in the presence of four weaker presences who could have been killed because of his pressure.
Had it not been for Michelle, Eric and Sera would have been the first ones to die.
And that wasn’t all, Brittney, a daughter of a duke of the Cortum empire and the son of the crown prince, an imperial family member, and the second crown candidate almost lost their lives too.
“I apologize.” Desmond was aware of all of that, however, he didn’t seem like he was sorry at all for what he did.
Had Sirius not come sooner, he wasn’t going to stop at Wesley and Brittney because his real targets were the leeches who he hated since day one of his tenure at the Academy.
Sirius harrumphed but didn’t say anything.
Instead, he turned to Adrian and said, “Stop manipulating people.” “When did I do that?” Adrian asked, acting as if he was wrongfully accused.
Sirius simply glared at him which made Adrian laugh and he said, “Hey, you can’t blame me for trying.
I mean look at them, they’re so easy to pick.
I didn’t even have to reveal the big ones and they were already shaken.” Sirius glared at Adrian even harder but said nothing.
Instead, he turned to Michelle who was breathing a little difficulty.
“Arrest them all.
Even him,” He said as he pointed at Wesley and said, “Interrogate them all.
Use Abigail if you have to or bring someone else.
I will handle the empire so there is no need to worry about that.” Sirius finished delivering his instruction before he turned to Desmond and said, “Cool yourself down and hurriedly come to the world leader’s meeting.” Sirius then glanced at Adrian and left.
Adrian on the other hand, finally stopped playing around as he had a serious expression on his face now.
He didn’t need to be told what the meeting was about.
The news of the Saintes’s abduction must have spread throughout the upper echelons by now.
However, the meeting didn’t concern him.
He had other plans to attend to.
