  4. Chapter 191 - 191 Head Professors

191: Head Professors 191: Head Professors Chapter 191 I looked at each of the head teachers, the extras, the important ones, and those who were going to die soon.

Or maybe not and live the rest of their lives in pieces, literally.

And then was my supposed cousin, or the brother better known to the world and I had no intention of changing that title because that would be bothersome to explain.

Then the killer beauty next to him who I expected to be his side fling.

Is it wrong of me to think she was hot?

Okay, better move along before I derive some R-36 plans.

Wholesome thoughts.

Wholesome thoughts.

Finally, the highlight of today was the two people who didn’t make any sense to be here.

I mean, I get that they were apostle candidates but they weren’t top-five rankers, and not only that, they were not that powerful to be here.

I mean, even Wesley was almost at the peak of the B rank while most second years would barely make it to the B- rank this close to the end of the school batch.

So it didn’t make much sense what these C+ scrubs were doing here.

[Want me to give you an easy and simple explanation?] ‘Yep.’ I was curious to know what simple explanation Allison could give me that I couldn’t logically understand myself.

[They’re main characters] ‘True.’ I couldn’t help but agree straightaway.

I mean, logic never applied to these guys in the first place.

I mean, how the hell did he find a dungeon in the middle of nowhere?

Answer, he just happened to stumble on it.

His system didn’t tell him, his god didn’t tell him, no logical explanation told him, he just simply happened to come across it.

This guy, who managed to get into a rescue operation after the third test where the minimum requirement was SS+, so it didn’t make any sense to question his presence here.

I decided to accept things as is and turned my attention to the people who were preparing to judge me.

So narrow-minded people.

Just because a person is strong, they think he’s a criminal.

How can they even doubt this beautiful and innocent face in the first place?

[You are the one who did it though] ‘That still doesn’t answer why they should just believe it to be their first thought.’ I replied back and then just simply waited.

Waited for this drama to begin.

“For the record, I would like you to know that Professor Abigail will be using a lying-detecting spell and know whether you are telling the truth or not,” Desmond spoke once the discussion was over between them.

“And how am I supposed to know her judgment is true as well?

She could easily tell my truth to be a lie.” I raised my point, not for some grand reason, I just wanted to be clever while being innocent as well.

“How dare you think I would go against my code?!” Of course, this Abigail chick didn’t like my accusative question so she erupted in self-defense.

“I mean, you did turn down a woman whose nine-year-old daughter was abducted and ra*** at the hands of some animals.

Your code didn’t matter much then.” At my point, Abigail couldn’t find any words to reply, instead, her face turned red, from embarrassment and anger.

Mostly anger.

But my attention wasn’t on that.

My attention was on the others.

I wanted to see who else was aware of this matter and did nothing.

To my surprise, everyone was aware of it, even Eric and Sera.

Wesley and his side chick were also aware of it but they didn’t seem sympathetic or even ashamed at all.

They didn’t even care.

All right, I have chosen one of the two lucky contenders.

As for Eric and Sera, it was actually quite a bit of a disappointment.

Unlike the others, Eric was a good character in the novel, and not only that, he had often raised his voice against injustice.

That was the sole reason why his life became hell once he came in contact with the second years and also the reason his enmity with the Cortum empire only deepened once Orion, the current emperor died.

No doubt he would have raised his voice even now given how ashamed his expression was but that didn’t change the fact that that woman was going empty-handed.

He didn’t even offer anything by himself.

I shook my head at that.

It seemed like the character of Eric was indeed different from the novel.

In the novel, he seemed incomplete while here, although stupid, he seemed rational and whole.

Once I had examined everyone’s faces, I received nothing but silence in reply.

While Michelle, Eric, and Sera seemed truly regretful, Desmond seemed hardened to the cruelty of the world.

Well, given his background, he must have suffered quite a bit at the bottom himself.

As for the rest, they were angry and embarrassed to be openly called hypocrites in roundabout words.

I narrowed my eyes but didn’t say anything.

I simply sat in my place for them to boil.

The more they suppressed themselves, the stronger their eruption would be, and the stronger their eruption, the easier it would be to use it to my advantage to get out of this.

“That is beside the fact.

For now, we are discussing the vile massacre, probably a work of dark magic, in one of the main sectors of the Bellator.” Wesley, who wasn’t perturbed like others spoke.

“Is it?

If so, then what about it?” I asked nonchalantly as I leaned back in my chair to be comfortable.

“Did you have anything to do with it?” The girl next to Wesley asked.

“Anything how?” I curiously asked.

“Did you do it?” Wesley simplified the question.

“What?!

Please be mindful of your words!

This sounds like an accusation!” I exclaimed in a little loud voice, expressing my anger for being abused by such a thing.

I was deeply hurt and offended and I will definitely sue these guys for defamation.

“Please answer with a yes or no,” Abigail said, a little annoyed by my intent of not giving a straight answer.

“I refuse to answer to such accusations.

I don’t care what backing you have or what you do!” I stated my stance and acted like a stubborn lady who was given quite a funny title on social media.

“If you do not answer, we have the right to exercise force,” Wesley said.

“What!?

How could you?!

How can you say that to your own brother?!” I acted hurt, in disbelief that a brother could do something like that to his own brother.

[Oscar?] ‘Yes, please.’ “This is not a matter of blood.

This is a matter of morality.

If you have done something wrong, you should obviously be punished.” Wesley stated like a true messiah of justice.

Did I say I was hurt?

I truly was.

“How could you?” I asked, in a helpless voice, as tears began to flow from my eyes and my back began to hunch, “What are you saying?” I added as I buried my face in my open palms and let out a few sobs.

***** They all just looked at him, at Adrian, deeply pained by the fact that he was accused of such a crime.

They watched him sob and just watched.

Even those who were trying to frame him were convinced by his words and his actions.

Michelle glanced at Desmond, thinking he would do something but he just kept staring at Adrian.

Wesley and Brittney were not interested in whether this was an act or not.

All they cared about was that Adrian was imprisoned for what happened in the red-light district of Bellator City.

Sera glanced at Eric who was unsure what to think.

To Eric, Adrian was a monster who had hurt Rose a lot in his past life.

He had done horrible things to her and turned her into an insensitive monster.

Obviously, due to that, Eric didn’t view Adrian as a good person, and because of that, Sera didn’t also view him as one.

Although, Adrian was an entirely different person than what Eric portrayed him as, she still didn’t like Adrian.

It didn’t matter whether Adrian had saved them from falling into the demon race’s hands during the second test or saved Sasha during the tournament.

The person who Eric had deemed as evil, was evil no matter what.

However, the current display of emotions before her was something that compelled her to believe Adrian.

And not only her but everyone along with it.

All of them felt as if they were accusing an innocent person who broke down once he saw his whole world break down because of this simple accusation.

They felt pity and sympathy for Adrian.

But, maybe their ears picked it wrong but they could have sworn that they heard a chuckle mixed in with Adrian’s sobs.

They thought it was a mistake until it wasn’t a mistake.

Adrian wasn’t sobbing, he was laughing.

A face with a smile that was letting out chuckles of amusement was raised out of the confines of his hands as he said while laughing, “Ahhh… So fun.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Bad_Wolf_7811 Creation is hard, cheer me up!
