The Archangel of Death - Chapter 190
190: Abduction 190: Abduction Chapter 190 “Where were you yesterday?” A man asked Adrian while they both sat opposite each other in a small room.
Adrian sat on one side while the man who asked the questions at on the other side of the table between them.
Adrian had a simple but enchanting smile on his face while the man had an irritated expression on his face.
No matter how many times the man asked any question, Adrian didn’t reply but only smiled in return.
The man had tried every threat in his arsenal, of course, all of them were empty, however, Adrian didn’t budge.
Soon, it came to the point that the man said, “If you do not answer, we will hand this matter to the head professor council.” That wasn’t an empty threat.
But it wasn’t a threat if that was what Adrian wanted.
Adrian wanted to see the faces of those who turned the woman away that day.
For that, of course, Adrian needed to make things difficult for everyone.
Finally, the time came when the man couldn’t take it anymore and simply stood up and left.
Adrian heard a yell from the outside before the door closed which only made him yell.
While Adrian waited in the room alone, the door opened and a blonde-haired man entered the room.
The one to enter was none other than Adrian’s uncle slash supposed father, Harvey.
Adrian was surprised, to say the least, to get a visit from him but he didn’t let it show on his face as he said, “I wonder what you’re here for.” “To make a deal,” Harvey said, without skipping a beat or wasting any time.
“What kind of deal?” Adrian asked.
Adrian didn’t have any idea of the man before him.
Although he had knowledge of him from the novel, there was a chance the words he was speaking at the moment weren’t his.
The strategy spoken through his mouth wasn’t his but someone else’s.
“A deal for your lover.
One of them at least.” Harvey spoke.
Adrian was confused but he wasn’t an idiot.
He knew what Harvey was talking about but he didn’t know who was he talking about.
So far, publicly, Adrian only had one relationship and that was with Laura.
Demons had already tried to kidnap her once so he was sure they weren’t going to try again.
And no one else in their right mind would kidnap her in the human world.
She was quite a bit significant thanks to her family name.
Adrian didn’t say anything, let Harvey say his bit before he would think of anything.
Seeing that Adrian wasn’t speaking, Harvey smiled and said, “Alicia.” The smile on Adrian’s face froze but he didn’t panic.
He remained calm and said, “Are you mad?” If Harvey was aware of the consequences, then he wouldn’t have ever revealed that.
However, now that he had, the danger of the first elder would be something he wouldn’t be able to disregard.
“Maybe, a little, yes.” Harvey replied before he calmly added, “But, I’m not the one to abduct her.
Even if you say it was me, you won’t be able to have much help.” Harvey was right.
He wasn’t the one to abduct Alicia so he wouldn’t be the one held accountable for that.
And if Adrian were to reveal the information about Harvey’s alliance with the demons, it would be very difficult for him to provide any sort of proof.
And it was true, Adrian only knew of it from the novel, there was no definite proof of that.
Adrian knew that too which was why he had a serious contemplative expression on his face.
He couldn’t risk the safety of Alicia, not when she was the main goal of the untied races in the novel.
“What do you want?” Adrian asked, his eyes cold as if he would rip Harvey apart any moment.
Although Harvey felt a chill down his spine at that, he didn’t back off.
He was in charge and he held all the cards.
“Confess to the incident this time.
Say you did it.” Harvey proposed.
Adrian on the other hand couldn’t help but notice the wisdom in this plan.
There was no loophole.
Harvey already knew about what Adrian did but he couldn’t use the testimony from the United Races as proof so he had no choice but to make Adrian confess.
“Not unless I know she’s safe,” Adrian said, countering his demand.
“She’s safe and sound in the Blood Ring Fort,” Harvey replied.
A smile appeared on Adrian’s face as he asked, “So the vampires have him?
Haha!
Here I thought it was the demons.” Adrian calmly stood up and said, “I will get her back, in a way you won’t even imagine and then I will cripple two of your sons.
You better hide them.” Before Harvey could even speak, Adrian continued, “You see, Alastair put too much faith in you.
You stuck to the script but you made one simple mistake.
You revealed her location to me and by doing that, I also figured out who has her.” Adrian then came close to Harvey and said, “You don’t know anything about vampire’s code of honor do you?
They never hurt or disrespect a hostage or a prisoner.
Ever.” Saying his bit, Adrian moved back just in time for Desmond to enter and say, “Student Adrian.
You are to come with me for questioning.” Desmond didn’t sound very happy with the situation but Adrian didn’t care about that.
He turned to Harvey and said, “Two of them.
Watch out.” ****** Fu*king hell.
Do I look like a pushover?
Do they think I’m just a kid or something?
Fu*k.
It took all I had to stop myself from ripping his throat out.
Not that I could do that so easily since my speed and strength would have been somewhat equal to his so snapping his neck in the blink of an eye would have been difficult.
But man did I want to kill, gut him out, hang him on top of a bonfire to let him cook properly, and then feed him to Sairal with seasoning on top.
[Wow] [Even I’m impressed with your animalistic imagination] [I wonder what you would do to his sons?] ‘Cripple them, obviously.’ I wouldn’t leave them a mouth to speak, I would cut off the connection with their brains and body to leave them paralyzed.
They would only be able to keep their eyes forward, they would be able to think, but they wouldn’t be able to do anything but that.
Not even move an inch.
And I will remind them every day whose fault it was that they were going through such a hell.
I would just have to choose two of them though because there were four of them.
I needed to hold an audition for the lucky winners maybe.
While making my sweet plans, we finally arrived in a room that was bright as hell, unlike the earlier room.
It was quite a bit spacious as well.
The room was mostly empty, with white ceramics around the room, it felt like a temple room.
In the middle of the room was a platform, half of which was taken by a circular table with twelve chairs.
There were only eight head professors so I didn’t know who the rest of the four were for.
In the middle of that platform, in a total spotlight was a single chair which I had a strong hunch was for me.
Without any instruction, I made my way to that seat and it took it unceremoniously.
I wanted to get this over with as soon as possible.
I wanted to play with these guys but Alicia’s abduction had made me change my plans.
The news of her abduction wouldn’t remain hidden for long though.
Soon, the entire human world would be infuriated by this act and I didn’t need to imagine the rest.
Of course, Rafael would be mad, the entire empire would be but the united races wouldn’t have taken such a risk if there was a contingency in place.
I needed to analyze the situation and make a plan before that.
Also, there was this nagging feeling in the back of my head that this wasn’t about Alicia.
They were trying to distract the human race, from what, I had no idea.
To be fair, I didn’t really care what it was but the nagging feeling made me ponder it a few times.
My train of thought ceased when the room began to fill up.
To my utter surprise, along with the eight head teachers, there were some familiar figures as well.
Such as my cousin, the second crown candidate, Wesley.
The second one was a girl in a student uniform I didn’t know.
She seemed like she was with Wesley, and if she was, that gave me a devious idea as well.
As for the last two seats, I didn’t know how in the hell, but they belonged to none other than Sera, the girl I almost killed a few days ago and the world didn’t even know it, and the one person around who this whole world revolved, the protagonist of this world, the one and only, Eric Tudor.
Now how the hell did this development come to be?
