175: Anger 175: Anger Chapter 175 The woman seemed to have passed out of fatigue and dehydration given her lips were dried and torn from some places.

She also seemed to be malnourished.

Max helped to lay her down gently because there was a risk of inflicting injury if we were a bit forceful while carrying her.

Even a slight hiccup could have led to an injury so we were very careful when we brought her to one of the empty classrooms.

Since we were in the outer wing of the Bellator Academy, the classroom belonged to a normal class, not a special one.

I pulled a few things out of the inventory to eat while also purchasing a bottle of water.

I put the bottle at her lips and slightly tilted it for her to be able to drink.

She instinctively began to drink water, she kept going until she coughed, causing water to splash on me and her.

That seemed to have also woken her up as she sat up straight in panic, and looked at both of us, “Don’t worry.

You’re safe here.” She didn’t say anything and clung to me while she repeatedly said, “Help me.

Please help me!” “Calm down,” I grabbed both of her hands, sat her back down on her chair, and said, “Just calm down and tell me what’s going on.

Okay?” My calm and gentle words seemed to have calmed her down as she settled down in her chair.

Max moved to stand behind her by the door while I took a seat opposite her.

“Now, tell me.

What’s the matter?” I asked.

She began to tell me her story as she began, “My name is Meldra.

I am a widow with three children.

My late husband was in the militia.

We live in the entertainment district.

Seven days ago, my eldest daughter, who is nine years old was….(The content ahead is a bit sensitive so I won’t write it down.

You will, however, get the gist of it as you read the chapters ahead.)” “Please, help me.

Help me get justice.” She finished her story with her plea for help.

Me, however, I was frozen stiff.

I felt anger bubbling up inside me, like a chain of explosions that I could barely contain.

I felt my chest tighten and my teeth clenched.

Each second felt like a drop of fuel, falling on the fire inside of me, pushing me closer to the threat of eruption any second.

I tried to contain my breath, I tried to calm the brewing storm inside of me but the storm, like a storm at sea, violently collided with the wall of sanity I had built up.

However, despite all my efforts, the fury kept building, like an unstoppable object stopping at nothing.

However, I knew I needed to contain myself.

It was the side effect of my bloodline kicking in.

The loss of my emotions was overwhelming me.

I was on the verge of eruption.

I struggled so hard to keep the flood of my emotions that was threatening to spill out because if I did if I let my emotions win over me, I would consume everything in my path.

I didn’t want that; I didn’t want to return to being me.

I wanted to remain who I was at the moment.

If I returned to being me, this world had no chance of surviving.

But, my last line of rationality was torn apart when the woman in front of me took out a pouch and dropped a few coins out of it.

They were universal cold coins of this world.

I counted twelve of them.

She pushed them all to me and said, “I will get more however I can.

This was the only money I could amass after starving myself for so many days.

Please, help me.

Don’t turn me away like others.” [Adrian, calm down] I slid my hand over and took one coin.

“Your payment has been received.” I stood up and passed her, but not before I placed my hand on her shoulder and said, “Maximus will take you home to your children.

I can’t bring you justice, but I promise you, the people who did that to your daughter, will suffer for an eternity.

I will make sure of that.” She broke down at my words as her wails resounded throughout the room.

I turned to the frozen Max who seemed like he had seen the ghost.

Well, it was understandable, the bloodlust emitting from me, even though contained, was enough to scare a young mind like his.

“Once you take her home.

Take her and her children to a safe place.

Then go to Baldur of the mercenary guild.

Tell him I sent you.

Ask him to evacuate.

He has by dawn.” I said before I stepped out of the room.

I made my way to the inner wing of the academy, where the special classes resided, also where the offices of the professors were.

I didn’t care about the rest, but I knew of two professors who would have never turned that woman down.

But they did.

I wanted to know why.

And if their answer didn’t come to my liking, they were my enemies too.

No matter how good they were.

Everyone in my path avoided me, everyone stayed clear.

The bloodlust inside was getting harder to contain.

Ever since the second step of the Penta enhancement array, I had managed to keep it within but now that my targets were on my mind, it was leaking out, affecting everything around me.

I finally arrived at Michelle’s office and without knocking, I barged in.

I saw her with her head down, clutching it with both of her hands.

She was startled when she saw me and was about to say something when she felt the energy emitting from me.

Her lips didn’t utter a single word while I was free to speak.

“Why was that mother turned down?” I asked, my voice low because I couldn’t contain it.

I was worried I would yell.

She snapped out of her trance as she understood what I meant.

She didn’t look me in the eye and said, “The world isn’t full of good people, Adrian.” I didn’t like her answer so I let my blood thirst let out a bit more.

She became alert but she didn’t know what to watch out for.

I was about to step forward when I heard a voice from behind me, “Sylvester, Otto, Thaler, Abigail, and Coleman.

These are the five head teachers who voted against pursuing this case due to the lack of resources.” I turned to see Desmond standing behind me, unperturbed by my blood thirst.

Given his strength, of course, he could hold on.

I could understand what he meant.

With the absence of Sirius, the eight head teachers were in charge of the school.

If five of them voted for this case to not be pursued, then it was very difficult for Desmond and Michelle to do anything.

I turned to look at Michelle and from her appearance, she was also torn by this matter but she was powerless.

No doubt she would have tried, she and Desmond both but they were helpless in front of the authority.

I, however, wasn’t.

I left the room without another word, passing Desmond, I made my way out of the Bellator city.

As for my destination, I was headed to one place where I could do what I was about to do.

[Don’t do it] ‘I haven’t said anything.’ [Attempting to integrate elements in your current stats means death] [All the more when you would be doing the fourth step as well] I didn’t answer.

I had nothing to say to her after all.

She was worried about me or it went against the agenda I was sent here for, I didn’t know.

But my reason for being here didn’t matter anymore.

What I wanted was something simple, very simple.

To let this bloodlust and anger out of me.

She may not get it but the more this remained inside of me, the more I would inch closer to becoming me.

If I became me, she wouldn’t be able to control me.

No one would be.

I opened the shop and purchased the stuff that I needed.

To make it so that my chances of living multiply, I decided to swing by the villa where I had put the item that I obtained from the Lich in the undead dungeon.

[Undead soul capturer] The item that held hundreds or maybe thousands of souls.

Exactly what I needed the most right now.

I knew it would be unethical to devour souls but these souls deserved it.

I doubted any of them was an innocent soul.

Better they become my power than just be tortured for an eternity by the devil.

With everything in my hand, I finally arrived at the mountain behind the Academy.

I had never been here before but I knew this place was off limits.

I was easily able to skip past the guards and made my deeper into the mountain.

What I was about to do would create a lot of chaos.

Better to stay away from the population so as to not be disturbed and also not turn everything into cinders around me.

[Adrian, stop] [You won’t survive] For quite a while now, Allison was trying to change my mind but my mind had already been made.

I’d rather let the darkness out on those who deserved it than let it burn inside of me.

The circle was done, now all I needed to do was begin.

Ignoring the last warning from Allison, I began.
