The Archangel of Death - Chapter 166
166: Bad luck twice 166: Bad luck twice Chapter 166 “What happened?” Sirius asked as he came out of the teleporter.
As he received a communication that a dungeon deformity had occurred, he dismissed it and told the team to take care of it because he was busy with the award ceremony.
However, he was quick to change his mind when he found out that Adrian was inside that dungeon and all alone.
Moreover, that dungeon was an A rank dungeon which meant the deformity might reach up to SSS and there was no way to deal with this until the person inside was dead or the dungeon boss was cleared.
Sirius handed all the responsibilities to Desmond and left for the dungeon.
He was truly worried, Adrian wasn’t only the fifth prince and a crown candidate of the sole human empire, which would invoke severe political issues, but he was also a talent on par or even stronger than the apostles, making him very valuable since Bellator didn’t have anyone special.
The empire would at least have the saint.
“How long did it occur?” Sirius asked.
Volan, who was the one who had communicated with Sirius and informed of this dilemma replied, “As soon as he entered.” “And how long ago was that?” Sirius asked.
“Twelve hours,” Volan replied.
Sirius didn’t get angry because it was standard procedure to report a deformity after twelve hours when it was sure that it was a permanent deformity and not just a simple spatial phenomenon.
It had happened because of which; this rule was passed out.
Still, given who was inside warranted an urgent report, however, even if Sirius had been aware of this incident a long time ago, there was nothing he could have done.
Once a dungeon goes into deformity, no one can do anything about it.
Gods themselves cannot interfere.
It was said to be a trial and the survivors were revered to be as chosen ones.
Sirius didn’t care about all of that and all he wanted was to do anything else than just stand there.
Unfortunately, even with that will, after expending all of his mana, he couldn’t move the barrier of the deformed dungeon.
Seven more hours passed and it was almost night.
However, the gate to the dungeon was still there so there was still hope.
If the gate opened, it meant that the people inside had died but since Adrian was the only one inside, it meant he was still alive.
“We have no choice, call for the first elder of the Cortum empire, if it is him with his spatial magic and me with all of my mana, we may be able to open the door.” Sirius directed an order that Volan left to pass.
Volan would have just left when the gate began to whir.
Shortly after, the gate of the dungeon returned to normal and a figure emerged from it wearing the usual white colored suit along with a bowtie.
There was not a single wound on the figure and his clothes were fine as well.
It was as if he hadn’t even done anything in there.
====== [You have defeated a Dullahan (A+)] [You have obtained 1,000,000 EXP] [You have obtained 1,000,000 coins] [You have obtained dark mana crystal (A+)] [You have received ‘Sword of the Cursed Knight’ (A+)] [You are now level 279] [EXP 107,600290,000] I defeated the dungeon boss, the Dullahan, who resided on the third floor alone.
The funny thing about it was that this fight was easy, not too easy since there was still a stat difference, but easy enough that I didn’t even break up a proper sweat.
However, it was nothing compared to the monster I faced on the first floor.
Kasgharus was a monster that I couldn’t have defeated if not for the armor yet I defeated this one, the monster of the same rank without the armor.
It wasn’t the stat or level difference, Kasgharus was simply too strong and skillful compared to the monsters of the same rank.
With the help of the armor, I breezed through the second floor killing all the undead on it, and when I arrived on the last floor, although the armor effect was over, the fight still wasn’t too difficult.
At the appropriate level where things weren’t too hard and not too easy either.
Anyway, I received way fewer rewards compared to that.
Finally, I had one thing for all of my girls and one other.
The armor I was using for Alicia since she was the most compatible with it possessing both divinity and light-based skills.
The sword I just obtained along with the dark mana crystals for Laura, The fire-resistant crystal along with a few magic crystals for Sophien.
And last but not least for Rose, I still had nothing but I decided to purchase something for her if I didn’t obtain anything compatible for her from the shop.
I considered giving her the same armor since it still gave her the stat increase but the armor was no longer in the shop.
It seemed like a one-time item so I didn’t bother about it and instead decided to find a weapon for her.
Her current dagger was just a B+ rank and it was also quite old.
She had been using it since the first test, its durability must have been affected by now so getting her a new, better, and more durable dagger would be the smart choice.
I decided to worry about that later and made my way out of the gate.
If I had been inside here for almost seventeen hours, then it must be night outside again and I still needed to clear one more gate before going back the next day where I had to teach someone a lesson and possibly partially kill him.
Partially only though.
I bought another suit and stored my armor in the inventory.
I stepped out of the gate only to find Sirius standing there in front of the gate with a shocked expression on his face.
Not only he, but all others around him, the dungeon master, and the dungeon guards were also staring at me as if staring at someone unbelievable.
I mean, I get that I was handsome as hell but still, how would anyone feel happy being stared at so intensely by men?
I decided to halt in my tracks and let the moment pass.
I could guess what would have happened and if Sirius was here, then there was a very big chance what I was thinking did happen.
I waited for a while before I stepped forward myself because these guys were still captivated by my looks.
“What are you doing here?” I asked as I approached Sirius who finally snapped out of his trance after my question.
“You… How… That…” He couldn’t find proper words so I said, “You’re all right?
How did you escape?
That should have been impossible?” I completed the questions he had and all he did was nod.
Seriously, you’re the older one here, at least act like it.
“Don’t worry about it.” I said as I stepped forward and added, “Just let me go to the last dungeon and all of this won’t be necessary again.” “NO!” Sirius yelled from behind me.
Seriously?
Does he think I would stop if he said so?
Well, he has another thing coming.
I turned to him and said, “Look, I know you’re not comfortable after what happened, but look at me.
Aren’t I all right?
I will be fine now too.” I said and turned around to make my way to the teleporter leaving him there.
Just as I was about to arrive before the teleporter, Sirius appeared next to me and said, “Very well, if you must do so, then I will also go with you.” “Have you had trouble with your memories lately?” I retorted which shocked everyone around us.
But that was me showing respect.
If not, I would have been calling him names.
Sirius and I were equals, allies with benefits from both sides, and if it was about age, I was older than him by a lot so no matter what, it made no sense for me to respect him.
“What?” He asked, not shocked at all, unlike all the others.
After all, he knew we were equals.
“You cannot go inside an A rank dungeon.
If you do, the space would collapse on itself killing everyone in a good radius.
Do you want that?” I explained the reason to him which he could deny.
Before he could think of an answer, I said once again with a nonchalant attitude, “Don’t worry about it, and let’s just get this over with.
The same thing doesn’t happen twice.” I finished as I entered the teleporter and waited for him to enter so he could take me to the last spot.
===== “Well…… Fu*k.” I could only say that given the current circumstances.
[Your luck is dogsh*t] And Allison spared no effort to rub salt on my wounds.
‘Thank you very much for reminding me of that.’ I replied as I sighed.
[Always a pleasure] ‘I’m sure it is.’ She finds pleasure in my misery.
She’s definitely an ‘S’.
[You’re quite wrong there] ‘What?’ I asked a little intrigued.
I was going to move on from this topic but her answer intrigued me a lot.
[I enjoy being dominated a lot] ‘…’ Damn, that’s a turn-on.
I felt quite a bit excited by this fact but I suppressed my excitement and focused on the more current problem.
The very thing that I told Sirius not to worry about happened, the dungeon deformed again.
And unlike the skeleton dungeon, where only one deformity was present, this deformity happened all over here.
The lycans that were currently in front of me were deranged and their rank was one sub-rank higher.
At least that was a blessing but this was a dangerous phenomenon.
There were seven lycans, six of which were A rank and they were led by an A+ one.
They looked at me as if they had been hungry for centuries as their drool rolled down their bodies.
Their eyes were bloodshot and their veins were popping out of their bodies.
If I wasn’t sure it wasn’t what it was, I would have definitely thought they were high on something.
[Armor of Israfel (copy) equipped] I equipped the armor and activated the first effect almost instantly because as soon as I did, a slash landed on me which pushed me back a step.
Then another, then another.
The first one slashed at me, the second one bit me, and the third one bit me as well.
The next three slashed while the leader of this small pack howled.
If I wasn’t mistaken, then he was calling for backup.
‘Great.’ I cursed inwardly as I conjured a lot of magic cannons and began to rain them on these mutts.
The effect was quite great.
Lycans were already deranged werewolves who had lost their minds and were stuck in the middle of the transformation.
Their agility and strength were stronger than that of a normal werewolf and their hunger was never-ending.
However, they gained all of that by sacrificing their defense.
Now add being even more deranged on top of all that, their defense was shit while their power met that of an almost A+ monster.
This meant that the one who was howling in the back was dangerous.
I won’t die but it won’t be an easy battle either.
As soon as I killed all the small lycans, I turned my attention to the one who had finally stopped howling.
I could feel the ground shaking in the distance which meant a large force was making its way here.
I didn’t care for the fight anymore and made a big a*s magic cannon with all of my HP left.
Shame it was only about three hundred worth but it was still enough for this mutt.
As soon as it turned its attention to me, it jumped at me.
I didn’t move and simply brought the magic cannon between us.
The magic cannon about the size of three basketballs which shined more than the usual ones came into contact with the lycan.
[Celestial guard] The blast pushed me away but I didn’t forget to purchase something from the shop and threw them on the ground right before then.
[‘Pepper bombs’ have been purchased] [Cost: 500 GC per 50] The bombs were unleashed and exploded by the time the momentum of the explosion ended.
I hurriedly climbed a tree and hid myself.
On the ground, I could see a giant army of lycans.
I counted at least three hundred.
There might be more of them here but just this number was something.
