140: Dungeon deformity (4) 140: Dungeon deformity (4) Chapter 140 [You have changed a deep fate] [You have gained 50,000 EXP] [EXP 14029000] [You are now level 230] [EXP 21,14030,000] Saving a life feels good.

Especially when it was followed by a lot of rewards.

Like right now.

[You have saved a life] [The will of life is satisfied with you] [Current life element composition at 1.21] By this logic, I didn’t lose an entire strand but about half of it and that was good because the element of death was still rampaging, trying to devour the element of life.

If the strand had been lower than one, the story would have been different.

Another good news was that my skills didn’t regress in level because of that.

And the good news didn’t end there.

[You have slain an A rank ant] [You have received 100,000 EXP] [You have obtained the rune of tenacity] [You have obtained the rune of defense] [You have obtained the rune of Pierce] [You have obtained 1,000,000 coins] [Level up x3] [You are now level 233] [EXP 28,14033,000] Wow.

Just wow.

It was the second time I had obtained runes.

The first rune I obtained was from the vampire count I killed at the beginning of my life here and now I have these.

And unlike the first one, I can use these ones on myself.

[Rune of tenacity] [Rank B+] [Description: A rune that represents the will of a warrior who endures pain and suffering for the sake of his ruler.

Effect: END +20 One-time use only] [Rune of defense] [Rank B+] [Description: A strong defense is a strong offense.

A warrior cultivates defense before anything else to remain alive in the wake of a desperate battle.

Effect: END +30 One-time use only] [Rune of pierce] [Rank B+] [Description: The power to effectively land a strike can be a skill but whether that strike has power behind it or not depends on the power of the wielder.

This rune grants you that power.

Effect: STR +10 One-time use only] I would say the rewards were amazing and the fact that I could increase END so much and a little bit of strength as well was good news.

[Name: Adrian Von Deus Lux LV: 233 [EXP 28,14033,000] Age: 17 Race: Human HP: 23702370 MP: 28402840 STR: 427 AGI: 387 END: 677 PER: 377 INT: 627 CHR: 917 LUCK: 297 AP: 0] Even with the debuff of the century, my stats were looking good.

Especially my INT and END were both in the territory of A-.

But no matter how much good news I got, I didn’t feel happy one bit.

The reason?

Well, that would be because of the lack of a message about defeating the dungeon boss and also because no dungeon exit had appeared in front of us.

So if that wasn’t a boss, then what was?

Just the thought was making me crazy.

Maybe we have to kill all the ants to open a secret gate or something.

Or maybe we were in the wrong place.

I guess killing the rest of the ants was the only thing to do.

At least it was better than just waiting and letting the grade of the monsters increase.

Besides, now that my level had increased by quite a bit, I was confident in fighting the ants of at least B+ rank by myself.

Not to mention I had these two.

Sasha’s level was 196 after the fight and Asmara’s level had increased by a whopping six, making her a level 195.

They would soon reach their breakthrough point and I wanted to get out of here before that.

Although one could hold their breakthrough back, I wasn’t willing to take the chances after what happened to Alicia and Laura.

“Okay!

There is no use in waiting here.

We should comb the dungeon looking for a way out.” I said, gathering everyone’s attention which was already mostly on me because of the miracle I performed a while ago.

It wasn’t so much of a miracle but an equivalent exchange but let’s not tell them about it.

“Are… Are you sure?” One of the extra males asked and an extra girl followed, “I mean, we all almost died in this battle.” “The keyword is almost.” I corrected her before I added, “And besides, do you really want to wait here and let the grade of the ants increase?” The reason I was taking the risk to fight the ants was because I was sure their number was limited.

This dungeon didn’t contain a nest so I was confident the ants wouldn’t increase in numbers.

If they were five thousand in the beginning, they would be five thousand at the end and by my count, we had already killed a large number of them so there won’t be that many left.

“Look, I understand your fears but the strongest monster was that one and we have managed to defeat it.

the risk of waiting for help is greater than the risk of fighting these ants.

It is up to you to decide but I will go either way.” I put forth my stance.

Actually, I didn’t want to go without these guys because I was anything but in prime condition.

There was no way that I could fight those monsters alone with the current predicament I was in.

I mean, my soul was damaged and my innards were shaking because death was trying its utmost to devour the element of life.

So the only option left was to elevate my position.

Make me valuable so that these guys won’t let me go alone and they won’t, given what I have shown them so far.

As long as one wasn’t dead, I could bring them back to prim condition just as I had demonstrated.

And also because of my diversity of skills, I was no less valuable than an apostle or even more than them.

“Very well.

We will go with you.” Sasha agreed with my decision and Asmara followed suit, “We have no chance of surviving without you anyway.” True words have never been spoken.

And so began our careful exploration of the dungeon.

We fought, we rested, we recovered, we ate and did some other things.

The short version was that it had been an entire day in the dungeon.

The event was to last four hours and we had been here almost five times that.

The progress wasn’t easy but the rewards were nothing in comparison.

Amara and Sasha naturally grew along with the leveling but even then, fighting the ants didn’t become easy.

No other ant dropped a ridiculous item like a rune.

I guess that privilege was only for the boss.

I was disappointed but it was what it was.

These things didn’t even have a magic crystal to make fighting them worth it.

[You are now level 236] [EXP 35,69036,000] I was once again too close to leveling up but the good news might be that we had finished the entire dungeon.

It was our second day here and there were no more ants.

Other than three A- ants, there was nothing too rewarding here and now that the ants were all finished, we still hadn’t found anything.

‘What am I missing?’ I thought as I was sure I had checked every nook and cranny of the places we passed through.

There were no secret doors or hidden requirements so how the hell were we supposed to finish this dungeon?

Just as I was wondering all of this, Angela spoke, “Umm… Adrian.” “Hmm?

What is it?” I asked.

She looked like she had something to say but wasn’t too sure of it so she was holding it back.

But right now, anything would work, even jumbo dancing so I asked, “Go ahead, tell me what you want.” She nodded and said, “The place where I was… you know.” She said, referring to the place where the incident happened.

“The cave ceiling gave up but there was a cavity above there.” She said which turned the imaginative light bulb in my head.

“That’s right!” I exclaimed as I realized what I had missed and once I did, I wanted to bash my head in a wall.

The place where the ceiling feels, what if it wasn’t the ceiling that caved in but a protective layer just below the ceiling, giving the viewers the image that it was a ceiling?

[A camouflage] ‘Exactly.’ “Come on!

We are going back to the boss’s room.” I said while taking the lead.

We encountered no one on the way back and we made it to the boss room pretty quickly with my memory.

Just as we did, my gaze went up to the ceiling to realize there was a ceiling beyond the one that had caved in.

I smiled as I purchased a hook and a rope from the system shop.

The height was easily fifteen feet so I was sure I could jump up to that point.

The rope was because not everyone could so once I was ready, I prepared myself for the jump.

All I had to do was somehow make it to the similar height of the ceiling and throw the hook at the edge.

The hood was self-embedding so I didn’t have to worry about failing.

“Here we go,” I said I pushed myself to the limit and jumped.
