136: Dungeon deformity 136: Dungeon deformity Chapter 136 Our party moved forward at a slow but steady pace.

The problems at the front were dealt with by Asmara and the ants at the rear were slowly killed by Sasha while we kept moving forward.

Although the pace was slow for me, I was under strict orders by both Sasha and Asmara that I was not to do anything except for healing the party when it got injured which it did, a lot.

Still, that’s not what my focus was on.

So it appears that Adrian’s death wasn’t accidental after all.

This dungeon deformity didn’t occur accidentally but intentionally which killed everyone including Adrian except for Asmara who was barely saved by Desmond, barely alive, and heavy injuries to the head that caused her to lose recollection of the events that happened here, leaving them forever mysterious.

The only difference this time was that Sasha was also involved.

The prince fought the princess, the dark saint of the demon empire and both of them fell in love after repeated battles.

You know, angry love.

So they fell in love and the inevitable happened, the dark saint became pregnant by the holy saint.

The scandal was obviously too big in both the Cortum Empire and the Demon Empire.

The dark saint left the demon empire after a battle that killed the then demon king, the current demon king’s father who tried to kill her along with the child, and ran to Michael.

Michael protected her but the Cortum empire also didn’t accept her.

They tried to murder her when she was in labor.

Of course, Michael didn’t take to it too kindly.

The bloodshed was off the charts.

Sadly, the emperor, the head elder, the first elder, and the silver commander stood by the people of the empire making Michael truly mad.

So Michael beat the shit out of them while in the process, the head elder lost his legs, the silver commander almost lost his left eye and the emperor almost lost his life.

By the time the battle ended, Adrian had been born.

While the rest of the empire, the elders, the nobles, and the family members of the Lux family writhed in pain, Michael took his newborn son and placed him on the throne, naming Adrian as his successor and the throne accepted.

The sad part was that the reinforcements from the church arrived and they, together with the rest of the empire, managed to banish both Michael and his wife to a dungeon, imprisoning them in there.

However, the damage was done.

Half of the empire had taken a strong hit and many powerhouses ended up losing their lives and many were left incapable of a fight.

It was truly a nightmare and this incident was not only engraved in the minds of the Cortum empire, but it also reminded the rest of humanity of the power of the Lux family that even four divine ranked beings and hundreds of SSS to S ranks could barely defeat.

In the aftermath, Adrian was protected by Orion, but even he couldn’t change the decision of the throne, the guardian being of the Cortum empire.

[So as long as Adrianyou live, the throne will not respond to anyone else] ‘Yep.’ For now, it allowed Orion to sit on it but the rest of the crown candidacy was nothing but a farce.

Everyone in the family knew that Adrian would be the emperor and there was no use in fighting over the throne.

Haa… just when I told him I would take it out on his children if he did anything and then he goes and does this.

He’s practically begging me to hurt his children and the closest target just happened to be in the finals.

We kept moving and pretty soon, we came across another group of ants that attacked us from the front.

The team fought the swarm as they usually did but the rear support as well as the attack force couldn’t deal with all of them and one of the students fell in danger.

I didn’t hesitate and shot ‘magic canons’ at the ant that was about to go down on the boy only to be immensely surprised.

[You have slain a B- rank] [You have obtained 10 EXP] [You have obtained 100,000 coins] ‘Well, it would seem that whatever the crown prince has done, seems to be in my favor.’ I thought as I hurriedly conjured more cannons and killed all of the still remaining and engaged ants.

[So that’s what happened] The dungeons of diamonds.

And we seem to be the experiments for the big stage.

===== All of the teams had just entered when the dungeon portal began to flicker.

No one paid it much mind but soon, all of the flickers increased and the gate color began to turn red.

Desmond, who was closest to the scene, hurriedly approached a portal and touched it only to be flung back.

The dungeon was not allowing him entry and it wasn’t just for him, Sirius couldn’t enter either.

“What is this?” Sirius mumbled to himself when Ronald came to him and made a fuss, “What is the meaning of this savior?

What is happening?” “You do realize that all of humanity’s saviors are in those dungeons.” Another king spoke.

“Shut up.

I don’t have time to indulge your stupidity.” Sirius blatantly said before he turned to Desmond and instructed, “Get someone here to analyze those gates.

Contact the Cortum empire and request the first elder’s assistance.” Desmond nodded and left to contact the empire while Sirius himself tried to enter the gate using his overwhelming mana.

However, even after deploying all of his strength, he couldn’t enter the dungeon.

It wasn’t a matter of strength.

It was simply because he couldn’t pass the space, as if he didn’t meet the requirements to enter.

“Headmaster!

There’s news!” Michelle yelled as she urgently came to inform him of something.

Sirius nodded and followed after her and came to the dungeon inspection room where the dungeon was managed to keep it stable.

“What is it?” Sirius asked a mage who was applying mana to a power source to maintain his connection to the dungeon.

“The grade of the dungeon has begun to increase, headmaster.” The operator reported.

Sirius froze as he couldn’t process the words of the man.

He snapped himself out of his trance as he began to bark orders, “Prepare attack teams!

We enter the dungeon as soon as the core is stabilized!!

Alarm all the teachers!!

A dungeon deformity has occurred!!!” The phenomena of a dungeon deformity were rare so no one usually worried about it too much.

But Sirius couldn’t have possibly predicted that the one out of a million phenomenon would occur right now.

Still, it could be dealt with and over the centuries, the world has developed many special methods to deal with this problem.

The only problem now was the students.

He could only hope that they would survive.

“Headmaster, the deformity hasn’t occurred in all dungeons.” The operator once again reported.

“What do you mean?” Sirius asked.

“The deformity has only occurred in the sixth dungeon.” The operator informed.

“What?” He was baffled when it suddenly occurred to him, a targeted attack.

‘Adrian.’ Only one name came to his mind when he thought about it.

‘An artificial deformity.’ With dread, he thought of that.
