122: Element of death 122: Element of death Chapter 122 I sidestepped to dodge an attack from a bandit.

Considering his rank, he should have been able to contend against me but he was too afraid.

Should I level up or should I absorb death?

But if I want to integrate death with me, I need the death element.

Sacrifice one or another, because dealing with the A rank is impossible.

My options are very, very limited.

I had six bandits left and they would give me six thousand EXP.

It was good that if that could be done, I wouldn’t have trouble leveling up.

But when would it come to the point, I had no idea.

Maybe it will be fixed on the next level, maybe it won’t be fixed even on the hundredth level.

Nothing is certain, hence why my skepticism.

There was no use pondering on the things that didn’t matter for now.

Forgetting about everything, I focused back on the bandits and began to kill them one by one, taking about fifteen minutes on each of them.

In the meantime, I decided to not kill the B rank undeads and absorb the death element.

“Clean it up.” I said before I began to bark orders, “I will be going to deal with the cursed land problem.

I left the city and after a few hours of walking, I arrived at the dungeon entrance once again.

I entered the dungeon and didn’t bother going to the last corridor but straight up went to the first floor from the first corridor.

I saw the two undeads standing guard at the end of the stairway.

I returned back to the lobby after confirming everything and began to make the holy water.

After which I purchased the necessary ingredients and made holy bombs.

This time more potent than previous ones for them to better work against the B rank undeads.

I didn’t intend to fight the B ranked ones because of how low I gained anything from them.

Once all my preparations were done, I came back to the starting point and observed the undead’s reactions.

I got as close as I could and threw the holy bombs but I didn’t conjure up the shield this time, sacrificing a small amount of HP for greater damage.

Last time the undeads noticed my shield and moved in a split second to avoid maximum damage from the bomb.

However, it would be different this time.

This time, they didn’t do anything and the bomb exploded right in between both of them, damaging their sides.

I didn’t waste any time and conjured up a shield around, in case they got over the pain fast and attacked me, and used magic canons to target their joints.

My attacks fell on their joints but they barely did anything.

Still, they were in pain so I kept shooting magic canons at them.

I still had about a hundred points of mana left when finally, their arms and legs separated from their bodies.

They were still in pain and I counted every second of it.

By now, they had been under the effect of the magic bomb for a minute and seventeen seconds and still counting.

I grabbed both of their skulls and began to absorb the tiny amount of element of death between a lot of corrupted energy.

Since my death element had increased by a good amount and they weren’t resisting, the process went on smoothly and ended in just a few seconds.

As soon as I let go of them, they crumbled to dust.

I guess they were still under the effect of the holy water.

I didn’t get a kill notification nor did I get any coins.

It was a pit but nothing could be done about that.

I ignored it since the biggest reward was still the amount of death that I had absorbed.

I could feel it.

Soon it would double and I would have no more worries about collecting it more.

And just like that, I went through corridor after corridor and death with the undeads.

I gained nothing from them but I used 100,000 coins every few times to make holy bombs but it was still bearable.

I had enough to still make about seven batches.

And now finally, it was the final destination on the first floor.

I once again found fourteen undeads of B rank there.

My guts were telling me that the element of death was about to be full so I somehow needed to defeat them.

it would be difficult of course but for now, there’s nothing I could do about it except just clench it and do it.

This time, I didn’t throw the holy bombs in the middle of the room but times it correctly, and began with the ones farthest away from me, bestowing each pair with a pair of bombs, letting each of them have their own.

The bombs began to explode before I could shoot them at the last pair closest to me and they jumped at me.

still with my stats and specs, I managed to avoid one while I blocked the other one with the shield.

The shield cracked under its attack but it also managed to negate the attack entirely.

I threw the bomb at these guys too but the one who I had managed to avoid, avoided the bomb and came straight at me.

we both slammed into each other before I could conjure up the shield.

[HP -233] Luckily, the damage this time was too low and since we were so close, nothing was stopping me from killing this one.

[High heal] I began to use high heal in quick succession, not stopping even when my MP was dangerously low.

Luckily, before I still had a few points in MP, it died.

The notification didn’t show up since the battle was still going so I turned my attention to the ones farthest away from me, who seemed to be getting better slowly.

I used an MP potion and began to shoot at the joints of all of them.

I didn’t hold back and used another.

Then another.

And another.

Finally, after five consecutive MP potion shots and thousands of magic canons, I managed to incapacitate all the undeads in the room.

It wasn’t over yet since they could still patch themselves up and some of them didn’t even seem to be under the effect of holy water anymore.

I ignored those and focused on the ones still under the effect of holy water and began to absorb their power.

I did the same with about ten of them before the last two managed to patch themselves up.

But before I could engage with them, I received very happy news.

[All death rack skills have leveled up by one] I didn’t feel much about ‘eclipse’ but I could feel the effect of ‘shadow verse’ getting stronger.

The shadow beneath my feet trembled slightly but I didn’t focus for long as I saw two of the undeads jumping at me.

since I had fulfilled my goal, I decided to kill these guys.

[Sacred blessing] [High heal] [Celestial guard] [Magic canons] With my last points of about a hundred MP, I used these three skills to strengthen my INT and in doing so, strengthen the effects of ‘High heal’.

My shield became stronger too although it still fell apart under the joint attacks from both of them, it still managed to negate their attacks which was all I needed.

Twenty ‘magic canons’ fell on each of them and I also equipped myself with the dagger.

I pierced one with the dagger while activating the skill ‘Critical strike’ while I pointed my empty hand at the other one and used the ‘High heal’ that I had prepared on it.

I couldn’t help but inhale and exhale loudly as I had trouble catching my breath with how tired I was.

All the fatigue I had accumulated because of the nonstop relentless hunting crashed onto me at once and my eyes couldn’t help but feel drowsy.

I closed my eyes and let the sweet sleep take over me.

since I hadn’t slept very well the past few days with all the work on me, I couldn’t help but feel at peace right now since I had nothing else to deal with at the moment.

I let the sweet slumber take over my being as I entered the world of dreams.
