109: A Terrible Plan 109: A Terrible Plan Chapter 109 The hand that appeared through the portal soon extended and an entire arm could be seen.

The thing that left everyone shocked though was the absence of flesh on the arm.

It was as if the skin had been peeled off from the body.

The arm then extended and pretty soon, a head appeared from the portal.

Same as the arm, there was no flesh on the head.

That sight left most horrified but the whole thing was yet to come.

Soon, with great difficulty, the figure emerging from the portal fully left it and stood on the burning sand for all to see.

The sight was horrifying, to say it politely.

The man on the snow had no flesh.

The skin around his teeth was gone and his teeth skeleton could be seen.

The same was true for his eyes, there were no eyelids above the eyes.

The half of the eyeballs could be clearly seen.

(Imagine a human figure from a biology science lab) His flesh seemed charred and smoke was rising from a few parts of his body.

The scariest part was, that the man was still alive as given by the slight movements provided by him.

“Now, now.

Are you having fun without me?” The voice of the man, however, was as vibrant and lively as the words themselves could be.

Everyone subconsciously took a step back.

Slowly, the man started to heal.

Skin started to appear on him slowly as he took a step forward.

The process lasted for about three minutes before a handsome figure could be seen by everyone, standing there completely naked, flexing his muscles and crackling his bones.

“Not an experience I want to go through again.” Adrian laughed as a set of white clothes magically appeared on his body.

Even though they now saw who it was, they were still scared.

Adrian waved his hand, and his eyebrow hair and hair also started to grow until they were set enough.

Everyone remained in their spots.

Even the vampire was a little wary now because the person in front of him was someone they had been keeping an eye on.

They didn’t know of his potential even though the crown prince of the Cortum empire had ensured that he was useless as he couldn’t even feel mana.

However, this boy was here even though a strong demon was sent to keep him busy.

The vampires were arrogant but even they recognized the power of the first demon prince.

‘No matter how much limited, if he managed to escape from him, then this man is dangerous.’ The vampire thought as he turned his attention to Laura, preparing himself.

“Now I know what you are thinking but I would appreciate it if you hold on.” Before the vampire could move though, he stopped when he heard Adrian say this.

He warily turned to look at him, still prepared but not moving.

“Thank you.” Adrian said and then he turned to Rose, “Now Rose, you were saying something like enemies and whatnot.

What was that?” Instead of Rose, it was Laura who replied, “She was talking to them.

They tried to hand me over to the vampire.” Well, replied was a polite word.

Laura more like complained like a spoiled girlfriend.

Adrian replied in the same exaggerated manner, “Oh, my!

Now that’s not nice, is it?” He turned to the ten students who had asked to hand over Laura.

Before anyone could say anything, Adrian disappeared from his spot and appeared behind a boy.

Before anyone could understand what was happening, Adrian drove his dagger through the boy’s throat and then immediately retracted it.

The boy choked on his own blood before he died of blood loss.

And then, a massacre followed.

Adrian began to kill in the cruelest ways he could think of in that short amount of time.

If he wasn’t so short on time, he would have properly enjoyed himself but since he was tight on time, he decided to go with painful ways than traumatic ways.

Soon, all ten students were dead regardless of their gender.

The last to die was the girl with pigtails.

He had simply beheaded her in one swift strike.

He took her head before it disappeared after turning to blue pixels.

Since the entire thing only took half a minute, everyone who wasn’t dead remained in their places, utterly shocked down to their core.

Before they could even understand what was happening, Adrian had already killed everyone.

‘This is bad.

The girl was already too hard to deal with, if he joins in, I will fail.’ The vampire analyzed before he came to a decision.

Even he didn’t take the opportunity to attack Laura because he wanted to gauge Adrian’s level before doing anything.

Unfortunately, the level displayed by Adrian was dangerous.

But now, that he had properly analyzed everything, he decided to move but once again, Adrian’s voice interrupted him.

“Kill yourselves.” What?!

Everyone exclaimed inwardly at that absurd order.

“He can’t take you unless he is the one to kill you so kill yourselves.” Adrian gave the proper reason that shocked everyone.

However, before anyone could come to a decision, Laura spoke loudly, “I refuse.

I’m not leaving you here.” Adrian didn’t say anything to that and instead turned to Rose, he said, “I knew you would say that.

Rose.” He simply said Rose’s name before Rose moved behind Laura at a great speed and grabbed her from behind.

Before Laura could even resist, Rose brought her dagger to the front and pierced Laura’s heart along with hers.

They shortly turned to blue pixels and disappeared.

“NO!!!” The vampire exclaimed with fury when he saw his mission had failed.

That was all the signal the rest needed to confirm Adrian’s words.

The next to kill himself was the apostle Adrian had been keeping an eye on, Derrell.

He pierced his heart with an arrow.

Everyone began to follow suit seeing that.

The vampire came to a swift decision.

If he had failed to get their target, he should at least get one of the apostle candidates.

The nearest one to him was Sasha.

He jumped at her but just as he was about to kill her, someone else bashed into him at that moment and they both crashed into a sand dune a little far away.

Adrian didn’t want a main character gone since that would disrupt the story making even more headaches for him.

“Hurry!” He loudly said while pinning the vampire down who struggled to get up only to find that Adrian’s strength was almost equal to him.

The keyword being almost since the vampire could feel that he was still superior in terms of physical traits.

He pushed Adrian with great effort but Adrian also expended the same amount of effort to keep him down.

Meanwhile, the rest of the students were killing themselves, and the last to go was Eric who turned to Adrian and said, “We’re done.” It was a signal for Adrian that Adrian could now do the same and end this matter.

Unfortunately, the matter wasn’t so simple.

Adrian couldn’t kill himself because he had to kill the vampire.

Just as the last student disappeared, Adrian stopped pushing the vampire down and jumped back.

Fearing that Adrian was also about to kill himself, the vampire recklessly followed only to drive himself into the kick prepared by Adrian, delivered right to his chest.

‘This is going to be easy.’ Adrian thought inwardly before he followed up with an attack of his own.

The dagger appeared from the inventory and Adrian slashed it but the vampire finally came to his senses and exerted his agility to the maximum to avoid that lethal strike.

Adrian didn’t follow up with an attack because, at that same moment, a message appeared in front of him.

[The saint’s blessing has ended] The effect of Alicia’s blessing had ended.

His stats were still at the peak of B+ rank thanks to his own buff skill but the other effects provided by Alicia’s blessing disappeared.

Still, he wasn’t afraid as he hurriedly consumed a stamina potion and an MP recovery potion while he still had a chance.

After that, he simply came to a standstill.

His HP was full, MP was full and his stamina was at its peak.

In other words, he was in his prime condition.

However, ‘Only if there was a potion to do something about my mental fatigue.’ Potions simply didn’t bring him back to the prime condition.

If used in quick succession, their effects would lower while also the fatigue removed by them would accumulate that would crash on him after a while at once.

That was why even though he was in prime condition, he wanted to finish this as soon as possible.

And for that, he had come up with a reckless plan.

‘Well, I needed to be reckless in the first place to kill him.’ It was impossible for someone to kill someone inside an artifact.

Even if Adrian were to kill someone, they wouldn’t die in reality because their soul would return upon death in the artifact.

‘What a cruel way.’ He inwardly remarked as he stored the dagger in his inventory and instead equipped a sword.

It was a simple C+ rank sword that he had asked the old man blacksmith, to make for him.

He had the old man make a bunch of weapons.

Their qualities were substandard and they offered no special effect given that the old man wasn’t anyone special.

However, what Adrian was about to do, didn’t require a strong weapon.

Even a stick would have sufficed.

Besides, there was no weapon in this entire world that could bear what Adrian was about to do.

Even the weapons of the saints would shatter upon using this move.

[AP: 50] He still had 50 additional stat points from the murder quest.

‘Let’s hope it works.

Invest them all in INT.’ [403à 453] [Sacred blessing] [453+181] Although he could feel his INT stat increased by a lot, his decision seems to have borne no fruit.

He was hoping it would but it didn’t.

his plan was to use a skill he had never used before.

He was hoping his great INT could break the barriers of the limitation inside the artifact but it never did.

His INT was still at the peak of B+ rank which didn’t solve the current issue.

‘Using the skill like this could be dangerous.’ Still, there was no choice.

To kill the vampire inside the artifact, he had to do it or he would fail the quest.

He prepared himself as the vampire also began to walk towards him.

“You’re strong.

Stronger than that girl from before.

But unfortunately, your racial disadvantage is apparent.” Adrian didn’t reply.

The vampire was young unlike the earlier demon prince so he wasn’t worried about the fight.

He was worried about what was to come shortly.

Immense pain.

“I need you to stay still.” Adrian simply said.

“Why?” The vampire asked, amused by Adrian’s words.

“Because I’m going to kill you,” Adrian replied.

“Why?

Because I dared to go after your lover?” The vampire asked, trying to infuriate Adrian.

Adrian chuckled as he replied, “You really think so less of me.” The vampire also chuckled in response, thinking it had failed until Adrian said next, “You’re right.

The quest had nothing to do with it.

I was going to kill you anyway for going after Laura.

You, the demons, the elves, and all those who are part of that little alliance of yours, I’m going to make them all suffer for going after Laura.” What Adrian was saying sounded angry but no sign indicated his anger.

His eyes were tranquil, his expression was calm, and his words were serene.

However, the vampire felt nothing but immense anger from Adrian which scared him.

It was terrifying how tranquil his anger was.

Still, although he was momentarily distraught, there was nothing to be scared of.

He wasn’t going to die even if he lost and died in this artifact so he replied, “I see.

But it would be a little hard for you to kill me.

After all, I’m not really here.” Adrian chuckled and replied, “You’re not here but your soul is.” Before the vampire could understand what that meant, Adrian mumbled, “Monarch of frost: World of ice.” ====== Do not forget to comment to let me know what you think.
