108: Enemy Infiltration (2) 108: Enemy Infiltration (2) Chapter 108 “Haa… I totally got riled up in his tempo.” A black-haired young man with a slight pointy ears said.

The distinguishing feature he had from normal people was the whites of his eyes.

They weren’t white but a deep color of grey.

“Hmph.

Pathetic.

How could you lose to someone like him?!” An angry voice fell into his ears just as he was getting up.

He turned to see a man in his forties.

The man had the same features as a human only that his skin color was a bit too pale compared to normal people.

A vampire.

“Pathetic indeed.” The young man agreed one hundred percent with the vampire before he added, “But he wasn’t simple as well.

I had to give it my all just to keep up with him.” The young man was none other than the demon prince who was fighting Adrian a little while ago in the artifact.

Although he made it seem like it was easy to throw his opponent off his feet, the demon had to use all his fighting experience to keep up with Adrian.

The real rank of the demon prince was SS rank.

Even though his rank was suppressed, many other factors such as age, experience, and cool-headedness, were higher than many others yet still, he got caught up in the rhythm of his opponent.

“Whatever.

I never expected something from you demons in the first place.” The vampire curtly said as he turned his attention back to the crystal to watch the progress inside the artifact.

The demon prince also turned his head but he wasn’t watching the other assailant, he was watching the opponent who had just defeated.

“I hope Gareth can get it over it.” He muttered but it was enough for a vampire’s keen senses to pick up.

“What did you say?” The vampire was confused as he failed to understand the underlying meaning.

The demon prince wasn’t afraid of clarifying as he said, “I hope your son can get this over with fast.

Otherwise, he will also die at that person’s hands.” The vampire was offended by this but he contained his anger and replied, “A loser like you has no right to say that.

Besides, even an idiot knows he cannot get to the other side.” Not only the vampire, but everyone thought the same but there was something different.

Something the demon prince couldn’t quite put his finger on.

Something he saw just before he died in the artifact.

‘Those weren’t the eyes of someone without a plan.’ ====== ‘This is a terrible plan’.

Every pore of my being was advising me against it.

Don’t do it.

You will die.

But the irrational side said, ‘Why not give it a try?’ [I will try to keep your organs from damaging] ‘Which means you will revert the damage slash pain elsewhere.’ [Yes] ‘Great.’ I still had about seven minutes on Alicia’s buff and thanks to that, my HP had now fully recovered.

I used a stamina potion and now I was in prime condition.

[Celestial guard] Still, I wasn’t going through with this without extra insurance otherwise I would die before anything could happen.

‘Do it.’ I finally instructed Allison after thoroughly preparing myself.

[Activating beacon] [Spatial tunnel will now be created] [Good luck] ====== Least to say, everyone who witnessed the battle between Adrian and his opponent was shocked.

They even forgot that there were still students in the artifact, trapped with their fates undecided.

Yet no one in the entire room, which contained almost everyone from the humanity superpowers, couldn’t help but marvel at the fight just now.

It wasn’t just a simple battle but a battle of brains.

One wrong move from either side and the battle would have been decided instantly.

Adrian’s classmates were a given as never had he ever displayed such a level of skill before.

What puzzled them even more was Adrian’s class.

Adrian was supposed to be a mage given the skills he had displayed so far but he had proved through this battle that he was equally better in physical combat.

However, there was one person who was more baffled than anyone else.

‘What did that brat do?’ The first elder of the Cortum empire, Raphael Mon Grante questioned himself again and again but he couldn’t arrive at a logical conclusion.

The movements and techniques displayed by Adrian were not something one can learn alone with simple talent.

There was experience behind his every move.

As if Adrian had done that thousands of times.

‘But it shouldn’t be possible.’ Raphael thought inwardly as he saw Adrian just standing there on the snow.

“Why isn’t he getting out?” Layla questioned out loud.

Alicia was the one to reply to that question, “He’s going after Rose and Laura.” “How?

By running to the other side?” Layla asked, completely baffled by Alicia’s reply.

“That’s impossible.

The other side is very far away.

Even if it is him, it would take him at least a week to get there.” Michelle, who was standing close to them said.

That’s what everyone thought.

It was impossible but for some reason, everyone had the same thought, ‘Maybe it isn’t so impossible.’ It was then they saw Adrian move and suddenly, something appeared in front of him out of thin air.

===== “Dodge!” Eric screamed as a strong hit landed on one of his classmates.

The boy who was hit was thrown far away but since he managed to lessen the impact using his shield, he wasn’t dead but he was too badly injured.

‘Damn it!’ Eric internally screamed as he went in to deliver another attack.

The assailant, a boy with striking red hair like Asmara, ignored Eric and dodged to the left as a dagger passed through the place his head was just at.

Eric took that chance and slashed with his sword but his attack was bare-handedly stopped by the boy with red hair.

Rose also went in with her own attack but this time, the boy seriously blocked her attack with his sword.

“You’re the most dangerous one here.

Who are you?

Why do we have no intel on you?” The boy said as he kicked Eric in the stomach and attacked Rose with his free hand.

Rose managed to block that hit with her forearm but the boy’s strength was a little higher than she had anticipated.

She was pushed back with her arm now numb.

The boy was about to follow up with an attack when he saw three arrows shot at him.

He hurriedly avoided them only to get in range of another girl with blue eyes.

The apostle candidate, Sasha, tried to pierce the vampire with her rapier but she was also stopped with his bare fist.

However, she wasn’t the only attacker.

The boy used his right hand to block another sword strike from Asmara.

As he was holding two girls, two arrows fell on him.

He pushed back both of them and jumped back to avoid them.

He saw a dagger slash as he moved back to avoid the arrows.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t dodge this one and he couldn’t also block it.

He could, however, spin his body to avoid being severely slashed.

He was still slashed however it was just a scratch that healed on the spot.

“Tch… stinking vampire,” Sophien muttered as she backed off.

The young man with red hair stopped.

Along with him, everyone else stopped as well and unlike the vampire, the rest were huffing and panting.

No one moved as they couldn’t predict the movements of the vampire except for Rose and even she was having a hard time following his movements.

“All this and a simple scratch that barely took any power to heal.

That’s why humans are so weak these days.

They can’t even properly put up a fight.” The young vampire sure was chatty as he kept mocking Eric and the party even though the battle hadn’t come to an end yet.

He was sure of his victory.

However, he was also flustered.

He was running out of time.

‘The bridge won’t last long and I have already wasted a lot of time on them.’ Since that was the case, the vampire decided to change his approach.

He said, “Although I would love to kill and take all of you, my objective today is only her.” The vampire pointed at Laura standing quite a distance away and then he continued, “Let me peacefully take her and we can put this behind us.

There is no need to fight.” Many students in the camp were terrified because of the strong enemy before them so when a strong proposal was given, they couldn’t help but be swayed.

“Since you’re the strongest one here, you must be in charge, right?

How about it?” The vampire turned to Rose and sweetly asked.

However, Rose said nothing.

There was no change in her expression nor did her stance change.

That was all the answer the vampire needed but when he observed everyone else, there was a chance of inciting a rebellion which could be a good smokescreen for him.

“Well, she has decided.

But what about you all?

Surely she doesn’t get to decide your fate too, doesn’t she?” As he expected, everyone was seriously considering this option.

One person more than anyone else.

‘If he takes Laura, it would solve a lot of problems.’ Eric thought inwardly.

Laura was a villain to him.

A future killer.

It would be better if she died before she could become unstoppable.

All the more now since the future had changed to such an extent.

Laura wasn’t only different from the past; she was stronger as well.

“Very well, you can take her.” One of the students in the crowd spoke before Eric could.

“That’s right.

We have nothing to do with this in the first place.” A girl with pigtails spoke, agreeing with the boy earlier.

Soon, there were more agreements.

Almost ten students agreed to hand over Laura.

“Tch… Selfish bastards.” Sophien mumbled under her breath but it was enough for the nearby students, mainly those who were fighting, to listen.

The vampire had a sneer on his face as he said in a moderate voice that was enough for almost everyone important to clearly hear, “You see that.

When things get ugly, you humans eat each other.

Some favorite creations of the gods you are.” Eric couldn’t help but feel a tinge of distaste in his mouth.

Although Laura was a future killer, she hadn’t killed anyone yet.

Not to mention, that handing over Laura would be akin to giving in to an enemy of humanity.

He wasn’t willing to have that.

The protest in the crowd only increased while Laura watched everything coldly with her blue eyes.

She didn’t care about them but she made sure to remember their faces.

‘I will have Adrian rip their mouths later.’ She internally planned.

She wasn’t worried in the least.

She knew that Adrian would come for her.

It was faith without a promise to back it up but it was very resolute.

Rose moved from her spot and stood in front of Laura while she loudly exclaimed, “Whoever takes a step forward will forever be an enemy of His Highness the fifth Imperial Prince, the third crown candidate, Adrian Von Deus Lux!” The loud announcement stopped the protest in the crowd.

They hesitated when all of this was mentioned.

If it had been before, they wouldn’t have felt afraid but Adrian of now was someone dangerous.

Not only was he a rank one in the academy, but his power couldn’t also be so easily ignored.

Still, it wasn’t long before the imminent threat took over the threat that might come later.

The protest continued and some even started to prepare to attack.

At that moment, Sophien also moved but opposite from the crowd, she stood with Rose while she said, “You better remember this.” Rose simply nodded but said nothing in return.

As for the rest, their decision was still undecided.

The vampire stood still, a sneer still on his face as he enjoyed the show.

Still, he prepared himself.

‘The moment they begin, I will snatch her and leave.’ As he planned and the argument between the students heated, suddenly Laura’s veil forcefully left her face and traveled a safe distance away.

Everyone stopped to see what was going on.

It wasn’t long before the floating veil began to expand.

It continued to expand and expanded to the point it was as tall and as wide as a door.

The color in the cavity changed to a dark blue before it crackled with black lighting.

It awfully resembled a gate phenomenon.

While they stood, wary of the ongoing process, a hand suddenly pushed from inside the portal.
