Chapter 438: Chapter 438- Reinhardt Vs Guren
“You!” The knight was so angry that he might have actually shattered a few of his teeth.

Attacking someone when they are speaking clearly goes against the chivalry of knights. Yet this man was pinning the blame on him?

Unfortunately for these noble knights, Marcus was no noble; no, far from it, he was a bandit who made his living looting others and lived a rough life. His only redeeming feature was that he never went after people’s lives or women and children.

He pillaged, stole, and marauded indeed, but lived his life with certain principles. It was what caught the attention of Divine Paladin, who then stormed into his headquarters and gave him a second lease on life.

Anyways, expecting chivalry and manners from a former bandit was asking for too much.

The knight stared daggers; just when he was about to say something, from the distance a blastwave spread, quickly reaching their area. Fierce gusts hit them, and the earth shook for a while.

Seeing this, the knight’s face immediately brightened up, and a sneer formed on his lips.

“Hehe… Well, the Council was indeed right; the standards of the Temple of Light have fallen too low. To institute mongrels like you as knights. But might as well, from today on, your knight order shall not be able to live while raising its head.”

At the sudden ominous change in the knight’s tone, Marcus and the others couldn’t help but furrow their brows.

Why was the other party being so smug all of a sudden?

“Did you think our six knight orders joined hands just to protect our crystals? Well, it is indeed one of the reasons; however, the main reason is you.”

The knight pointed at the members of the Temple of Light. At this moment, the other Crystal Guardians from the other orders also smiled eerily.

“That golden light of yours earlier was something that was deliberately set up by the council to reveal your position. By now, the Vanguard team formed from the combined knights of our six orders has already reached your base. That blast wave earlier must have been from their battle.”

Not too far away, hidden in the bushes, were Kevin, Vangeance, and Gwen. The moment the boy heard what the knight said, his eyes opened wide. Instinctively, he was just about to stand up when Vangeance from the side shook his head.

“Don’t get riled up by that guy’s words. There is no need for you to head back there. Remember what the boss said? No matter what, he will keep the crystal safe. So we should focus on our own task.”

Right… Kevin nodded his head and calmed down. Commander gave them the role of Shadows, which was very important for this event. He cannot mess it up.

Besides, he had seen the Commander’s strength. The person could even solo Demon Generals and Holy Knights all by himself. There is no need for him to worry.

“You two, stop your commotion. My [Water Mirror] won’t be able to conceal our presence if you all talk so much,” Gwen shushed them from the side.

The two were being extremely noisy even though their role was to be Shadows. If not for her, they would have already been found out.

Do they even know what being stealthy means?

Seeing that there was no reaction from the side of the members of the Temple of Light, the knights of the six orders were confused.

“I just said your Commander and your knight order is done for. Why aren’t you all reacting? Do you think I am lying?”

“Ah, what can I say, it’s not that we don’t believe you,” Marcus picked his ears. “It’s just that your words were so normal that they did not evoke any reaction from us. You are aiming for our crystal? Isn’t that what the event is all about?”

Being looked down upon as if he were some kind of stupid monkey, the knight’s face turned red from rage. He cried out, “Get them!!”

And so a battle between six high ranking knights and the members of the Temple of Light began.

From the corner, Gwen, leading the two dunderheads, waited for their chance to strike.

.

.

BOOM… BOOM…

In one corner of the land, large columns of energy bolts came crashing at a man at lightning speed.

What was amazing was that as soon as these energy columns came, they were rebounded back just as quickly.

Reinhardt, using the [Godhand Ascendance] Second Technique, sent all of them reflecting back. This was different from the Fourth Light of the [Holy Blade Arts] – [Celestial Retribution] that allowed him to use full counter on all kinds of skills and magic.

The Second Technique of the [Godhand Ascendance], much like the third, was not a single attack but rather a state where his fists are covered with divine fire.

As could be seen, Reinhardt’s hands were glowing with faint white smoke. These white clusters were not smoke, but rather white fire, the very same that almost killed Jester-Jester in a single blow.

However, instead of projecting these fires inside the body of his opponent, the second technique allowed him to strike or grab anything, even incorporeal things. Thanks to this technique, he was easily able to punch back all the energy bolts where they came from.

BOOM… BOOM…

Large explosions rocked the distant. Nevertheless, the energy columns did not stop coming. At first, it was from around the now devastated peak, but soon, it started coming from all around the jungle.

As one would expect of a level 9 Extreme Knight, not only did these arrows that were as big as the trunk of a large tree pack quite some power, but they also never missed their mark.

Furthermore, the knight was employing a technique that allowed him to move between multiple places instantaneously.

With his Divine Trait [Heaven Memory] and [Divine Remembrance] activating, Reinhardt quickly realized what the skill was.

“[Blink Arrows], huh, that’s quite a high level skill.”

The skill his opponent Guren, used was a very high ranking skill and allowed the user to blink between places that are already marked with his arrows.
