Chapter 433: Chapter 433- Might That Shakes The Kingdom
“The Grand Aegis Shatter is an important event that is broadcasted to all parts of the kingdom. The Seven Great Knight orders are the public favourite to win. However, in the event that one or more knight orders fail to protect their crystal, the ones who broke their crystal and survived till the end will take their place”.

“That is to say, today’s event will also decide the future rankings of the knight orders and bring a new wind into the previous stale air. That is all. The Grand Aegis Shatter will begin in a couple of minutes. I wish good luck to every participating knight order.”

Just as her voice ended, glowing characters appeared in the air all around the valley. The glowing characters displayed the time remaining before the event starts and, at the same time, revealed the positions of the many knight orders.

As all the participating knight orders started from different points and areas of the valley, the glowing characters showed you which ones were nearest to you.

“There are quite a lot of knight orders around us. Heh, talk about making it interesting. I guess the Council is really looking down on us.”

It was a vast valley, yet so many lights just happened to be concentrated near the area where his Temple of Light was.

What’s more, the light that glowed from their side also seemed to be of a different color. It didn’t seem like a coincidence.

In fact, it was not just the concentration of knight orders and the color of their light; even the rule earlier, which was more like a one sided declaration, was meant more for their Temple of Light than any of the other six orders.

Bringing new change by ousting the ones that were a thorn in their side, the Council wanted to get rid of his status, which they did not even hide their involvement with.

Anyone could see that the format was against the Temple of Light. That said, none of his members complained.

They have gone through situations far worse and more dire than this. Compared to it, the Council’s ploy looked cute and tame.

“Are you all ready?” Reinhardt questioned.

There was only ten seconds remaining for the Grand Aegis Shatter to start.

“Leave everything here to me. I promise you all that, come hell or high water, I will protect this crystal. So you guys can rest assured and focus solely on breaking the enemy’s crystals.”

Everyone nodded their heads. Just then, a loud sound of a horn rang out across the valley, marking the start of the event.

The members of the Temple of Light strode ahead.

The Vanguard Knights, as per their role, ran straight and openly toward the opponent’s location, while the Shadows used more sneaky tactics.

Well, given that it was Vangeance and Kevin who were playing the role of Shadows, it would be too much to expect them to be stealthy. Nevertheless, they should figure out something by themselves.

With that, Reinhardt decided to focus on his own role.

“Should I play with them a little?”

He always welcomed any opportunity where he could flex his powers, and the Council just provided him with one.

And so, he leveled the ground, creating a large clearance for the upcoming battle.

“Now then, come!!”

.

.

A couple of minutes later, Reinhardt, who had his eyes closed and was standing in front of the crystal, suddenly opened them.

A breeze brushed past him, and with that, a hurried rustling noise began to echo out from the surrounding jungle.

Soon, Reinhardt was surrounded by numerous teams of Vanguard Knights.

“It’s an honor to meet you, Sir Divine Paladin,” a knight wielding twin chain axes spoke, initiating a polite conversation.

Even though the one standing in front of them in that radiant armor was their enemy, Reinhardt Arcknight was a legend that still commanded respect.

Another knight with silver armor stepped forward.

“Today we shall show you the power that we have cultivated and sharpened all these years while you were asleep.”

“Sir Reinhardt, it’s time you relinquish your seat to us,” spoke a knight, this one holding a large spike club and round shield on the other hand.

That’s right, he was a legend, but legends fade, and Reinhardt was inactive for three straight years, causing many of the upstarts to get a big head while living in the peace he and his comrades fought for.

These knights, while their words might sound respectful, only a fool would not detect the condescension that was dripping with it.

“Crimson Halberds, Silver Tempest, Obsidian Fangs, Ironhowl Legion, Verdant Field, and Ashen Choir,” Reinhardt slowly named all of the knight orders targeting him.

All the names that he took were all relatively famous knight orders that ranked in the top thirty. They might not be top ten material, but some of the knight commanders here had the level to look down on the world.

“Please don’t think of it as us trying to…”

“Don’t bother with all the theatrics and just come at me, all of you.”

The knight commander, who was about to say somethin,g was cut off by Reinhardt, who beckoned with his hands at them.

In any case, he knew what they were going to say, so he made it easier for them.

From the beginning, he was planning to take all of the opponents at once; after all, it won’t even be a warm up if they didn’t.

The Divine Paladin’s dismissive attitude triggered these imperious, big headed sons of nobles who weren’t used to being looked down on.

Immediately, their expressions ashened.

“Looks like the fallen hero still believes he can rise again.”

“A pity, I used to admire you once.”

“Let’s make this quick, for his legacy’s sake.”

Saying so, they stepped forward, rousing their auras. Behind them, their elites also did the same.

Dust rose, mana surged. A powerful atmospheric pressure descended onto this place, raising the battle intent to the peak.
