Usually, the platform would be heavily fortified with barriers and formations from the ancient artifacts, stopping anyone from getting closer to the item.

However, at this moment, they lay on the ground, destroyed. Someone had entered the vault, destroyed the artifact, and activated the Abyssal Compass.
